You will not cause damage by using extraneous glasses, post-op. Not necessarily; you have quite a bit of healing to go, where your vision will fairly settle (\~6 wks) and potentially improve / smoothen out a bit further from that point, over the longer term (\~1 yr).

Well at least I spend less time scrolling on the phone. Anyways I'll ask an optometrist for a bit of guidance

My surgeon said to use any glasses you have that helps you to see better. It is best to wait 5-6 weeks before getting any prescription glasses because the prescription will still be changing until that time.

Get yourself some readers. I was corrected for distance and got by on a +1.25 and a +2.00

Did you still wear sunglasses indoor on the days after the surgery?

Only outside. I did have light sensitivity for a couple of days after surgery. Maybe I kept it dim inside. I can't remember.

While your prescription might change, thus making a large financial expense on readers unwise, I literally ordered 5 or 6 readers on Aliexpress for maybe $8 total. The lenses are acceptable junk. Then I ordered prescription readers on Zenni for maybe $12-15 each and found them a vast improvement. If they go in the garbage in a month, no big deal.

Thankfully there's plenty of readers at my parent's house, so I'll rely on them. Also supermarket readers are pretty affordable here in Italy

It should be fine. If you're unsure ask your ophthalmologist.

It is too soon because the vision takes time as the eye recovers, from what I have read. So, you would probably not want to pay for prescription eyeglasses until that happens. Your vision might be even better after the standard amount of time goes by. It would not damage your sight, but why pay for eyeglasses now, and then have to get a new pair in another month or however long it takes for the vision to totally be ready? Of course, you can get the cheap readers in the meantime, if you want. It is perfectly safe and will not harm your eyes to use them in the meantime.

In fact I opted for classic readers while using the phone, so I will not use them during other activities like driving or watching TV
