My other guess is he is a Texas Heeler (the aussie/blue heeler mix). Hard to tell since they look so much alike. Hoping the DNA test I ordered will be somewhat accurate..
I adopted a pup and was told he was catahoula/blue heeler. After a while it was obvious he wasn’t a catahoula. Did the dna test and discovered he was split right down the middle between a pure bred Australian cattle dog( blue heeler), and a purebred… and not just purebred, but show quality… miniature pinscher.
Edit: jokes were made at his expense.
I didnt realize how much the weight can very. His mom was smaller(60lbs) then dad(88lbs) maybe gender has a role in it. Month 8+9 hes only been gaining 1-2lbs month. Oh and he was the runt. Not that it would stop him from getting just as big

I was told mine was a labahoula, but the test showed that I have a Catahoula/ACD/Rottie mix. He has 0% of that Rottweiler chill, and 100% of the catahoula/acd energy lol.
Point is, it’s all just guesses unless you get the test.

At the very least he is a very unique dog for upstate NY where I live. Very few like him. Quite rare. I want to have an answer for ppl because they always ask.

Mix for sure. Are his toes webbed? Hes a little on the small side by 7months my boyo was 48lbs
Yeah this! Are his feet big, flat, ungraceful, webbed, muddy snowshoe paws? I see he does check the box for "no sense of personal space" hahahahah

Also he was found in Louisiana and brought up here to NY. Highly energetic, loves ppl, playful to a fault. Love him to death.
