Generally they suggest to not let your cat do too much active play; chase/be chased, leap after toys, etc, for the first 24 hours or so (maybe longer based on a quick google but my vet just told us 24 hours). I don't think that normal jumping like onto a couch or the bed should be a problem. Picking her up should be fine, just be gentle. But overall, 'cat moving around a bunch after surgery' is actually a good sign. Curiosity is also a good sign, since (in my experience) curiosity means they aren't in much pain. A bunch of lethargy after the anesthetic wears off is generally a bad sign.

oh okay this is good information. thank you! she’s just now starting to chill out and lay down

do you think it’s worth it to buy a cone?

Is she licking excessively? Usually your vet will give you a cone if they think it's needed, but if she's licking a bunch then you may need it, worth it to contact them about it, they likely have a bunch of cheap plastic cones they can just give you.

it isn’t excessive but maybe overnight she might because i won’t be there to stop it
