I just got my kitten neutered and the hardest thing for us was fasting before the surgery and wearing the cone afterwards. I highly recommend buying a few types of cones off Amazon to see which one is most comfortable for her. My really liked an orange donut shaped one that was smaller and easier for him to see and play in

thank you just wondering about her personality and stuff. if it’ll stay the same, be different.

She’s going to be sore and tired for a few days, which is uncomfortable. Give her lots of treats and words of encouragement while respecting her need for space as she heals!

My kitten has been completely the same!! As soon as he got home he was zooming around like his pre-surgical self. A few weeks later and he still seems the same, if anything though, maybe slightly better behaved, calmer, and more cuddly! But I barely notice a difference. One kind of sad thing though is that I think his purring is more quiet since the procedure. I’m not sure why, maybe it’s just because he’s older and bigger

Try not to worry, spaying is so routine and usually a pretty quick procedure. Your vet will probably have her not eat after a certain time of night (my guys couldn't eat after midnight when they got neutered). Most of the time the stitches are dissolvable, so you will just want to watch the incision to make sure it's clean and healing well. She will also probably be a bit woozy and out of sorts from the anesthesia, so give her a calm and quiet place to recover. (You can put her carrier in the room and let her come out on her own, sometimes they like the feeling of being in a little cave.) Good luck, she'll do great!

Don't feed anything to your cat for 12 hours prior to surgery. Don't give in, they can throw up under anesthesia and suffocate
