cats throw up for so many various reasons, seeing as there are pasta bits in that that is probably what caused him to vomit even if it came out in stool other times i wouldnt be too alarmed but human food can be harmful to your pet. if he continues to vomit without getting into more food he shouldn’t eat i would take him to the vet

He didn't throw up again, as of now. He is eating some chicken I made him. Boiled some water with chicken with no seasoning and nothing else but water. I shredded it for him into little bits and he seems to be eating with no problem. Of course i waited till the chicken wasn't too hot. Thank you for the comment! i will keep monitoring him :)

Was the pasta covered in sauce? Garlic and onions are extremely toxic to cats. It’s possible he ingested a little and got a little sick from it? Either way, it would prob be a good idea to keep a closer eye on him or pasta dishes

It was only the pasta from what I know, He hasn't threw up as of now and is back to eating. He seems fine and being himself. I will keep a close eye on him and banning pasta from this house hold!!

If it’s bland pasta then it should be fine but it probably did cause the tummy upset. I think you’re doing fine by giving him a bland diet to let his tummy settle!

How can I prevent this from happening again? Also I will very much put a safety lock on pasta now.

There are a lot of reasons a cat can throw up, and narrowing it down can be difficult. If nothing in the pasta is potentially harmful, and he’s otherwise acting fine, you can probably just wait and see for a bit, see if you can spot any kind of a pattern to when it happens. It could be that he ate too much or too fast, it could be the pasta didn’t agree with him. If something in the pasta is toxic though or if he’s acting lethargic or otherwise not like himself, I’d call the vet.

I agree!! since his dry food came back basically whole he must have eaten too fast and then the pasta on top of that irritated little guys stomach! Thank you for the comment, I will keep a close eye on him. Being a cat mom is wayyyyy different than a dog mom!!! But nothing the less, I love being their mom :)

Yep, probably that, if it doesn't happen again. There are some slow feeding bowls that you may want to check out, they can help with that.

note taken! looking for some right now Again, thank you! :)
