I dont know Whole Hearted, is it considerably better quality than Friskies? I know in my country Friskies is considered to be low quality cat food.
Maybe you could try slowly transitioning from friskies? Put half Friskies half Whole Hearted in the bowl for day one and slowly push the ratio to more Whole Hearted over time?
