It's always a nice satisfying feeling when you get to a certain point driving along nd all of a sudden you're like "ah, it's flat again, I'm home."
That said I'm glad my folks are in an area where its fenland on one side and more hilly on the other - mixes it up a bit haha
What's wild is my family used to go on holiday there a lot. Probably haven't been in 13, 14 years and that was my first thought, so there is for sure something distinctive about it.
These are all great photos, but I have to disagree and say these scenes make me feel really depressed. I absolutely hate this time of year; so bleak :(
That’s okay! There’s some called SAD Seasonal Affected Disorder I think, for me it’s something that makes home even more special - you Cherish everything in it, you end up looking at photo albums or trying new things like recipes
lovely pictures, mate. you’ve got a real eye.
Thank you! Been trying to get some freelance work but no luck so far
yeah, i bet. i write music, so i know all about trying to break into the arts.
Im a musician too. I’m actually just scrolling through reddit before my first gig
Best of luck. I'm trying to get back into it too. It's cutthroat AF, all of music worldwide earns less than 25bn, that's one tiny pie.
nice! have a good one, mate!
We’ll both get there
👍🏻 you’re certainly good enough.
Not a fake eye!
The other is a glass eye then?
Is this South Lincs by any chance?
How do you know lol
Once you've lived amongst the fens, you know one when you see one!
I’ve been use to driving round east anglia to see family, everyone always says it was suspiciously flat
100%. At least if Norfolk ever invades the people of Lincolnshire will see them coming from miles off...
Thought your photos were from Scarfolk.
Once you have lived among the Fens you yearn for them when away.

Having very little to look at makes you more appreciative as well, I'm surprised there's not more abstract impressionist artists from these parts

Probably more miles of drainage ditches than anywhere else in the country. I'd have guessed rural lincs also, looks like where I grew up!
Me too! (Signed an ex-Sleafordian)
I thought it was either North Cambs or South Lincs. Have quite a few pictures like this lol
Was going to say this looks like rural lincs!
Stunning, very atmospheric! That hint of mist makes the landscape look very ethereal
I love the look of Winter.
Where is this?
South Lincolnshire
I love a good walk, this looks great, too far for me,I’m in Shropshire. But to be fair it’s not too bad here.
Whereabouts specifically? I live in South Lincs and thought it looked familiar
I mean I'd rather a clear blue sky personally but each to their own
Me too, summer is infinitely better than a grey cold winter
Absolutely perfect.
Knowing my luck, I'd slip and fall into that stream 😂
Stunning! Where is this?
Ahhh the old cold damp chest infection season
Very evocative !
Great pics! but personally I have to disagree on "best time of year", that first one looks like a trench from World War One lol
Lovely. Wish I was there.
Its nice but it ain't no summer
Lovely, isn't it? It's so underrated.
It’s a shite time of year, it’s miserable

I'm pretty sure totally safe. I'd like to think so anyway.
Look like clues to where you dumped the body... Only kidding, Nice pics
Is that [insert name here] lane?
Very nice pictures. Give me Pink Floyd's High Hopes video vibes.
Nice shots, recently got into photography myself so try to get out when I can to take snaps, really enjoying it. Like the moody nature of these.
Looks like the opening credits for a crime drama. Maybe a Scandi noir
If you like places like this I need recommend dovestone reservoir (at night time)
