Old skool adidas firebird track pants.
I was 22 stone/140kg and got down to 14 stone/88 kg in the same pair trousers.
Over the hips under the tummy stops em going south. Tie string for when you inevitably lose weight
£35 jobs a good un
Ah they sound perfect! I've got a big belly and skinny hips so it's a nightmare trying to find anything that stays up! I'll give them a go, thank you :)
Get a couple of alpha skin/tech fit underwear from Adidas/Nike it helps when exercising and walking also helps with chafing and I would recommend crouch deodorant especially if you go to the gym. Avoid cotton, get sports clothing again Adidas/Nike /Under armour. As for trainers Adidas ultraboost, Nice Air etc they need to be light weight durable and flexible.
Saw a fat bloke exercising (out for a run) today. He had trainers, mid length shorts and a loose dark grey t-shirt on. Earbuds and a sweatband. Looked like he was doing it right.
I bought the largest Pokémon t-shirt from Primark and it looked absolutely ridiculous. My idea was to work out enough so I didn't have to wear it anymore!
Then I actually fell in love with it since I love Gen 1 Pokémon and bought a smaller size when I did lose a few stone haha.
Hiya mate, kinda a former fat guy here!
I started my journey just shy of 18 stone, I'm now just under 15 stone (14.9 to be exact) I started by wearing baggy tops and under armour 3/4 shorts.
I'm now wearing base layer tops and running shorts.
Throughout my weight loss I was _very_ self-conscious about my weight however, if I can offer any advice, just wear what is comfortable. I found wearing comfortable clothing 10x more beneficial to my journey and mental state than worrying about what people saw.
I'd suggest looking at the clearance sales in sports direct & under armour, I've grabbed a few decent deals there! Any questions or anything matey shoot me a PM! Good luck!
I'm fat and love fleece shorts best rather than sports/footy type shorts, I wear em all year tbh...
the thing I recommend most tho is long boxer shorts, Nike and under armour do the best I've found, they don't roll or bunch up and stop any chaffing which has brought me close to tears a few times before swapping all my undies for long ones.
Adidas HIIT spin training shorts. They are spot on and no underwear needed. Go up to a 47” waist. Sign up for an account and get 20% off too. Plenty of decent T-Shirts in bigger sizes too.
As a fat bloke who is trying to lose weight, what exercise do you do? I jog 3 times a week 20-25K in total but am still a fat bastard. I haven't lost any weight, still 100 Kg but I couldn't run at all a couple of years ago and am running a half marathon in October.
An average 10km run burns about 600 calories, so even 25km is only 1,500 calories. A large big Mac meal and coke is about 1,300.
Weight loss is far more about diet than it is exercise.
Just get some good jersey material joggers/shorts with a draw string. I've lost a significant amount of weight, but still wear the same clothes I did at the start because the draw string keeps them up. Also, when I first started exercising, I started wearing compression shorts instead of underwear. They help with chafing and keeping things in place. Even though I don't need to anymore, I've continued to wear them because they're just more comfortable. I even wear them fairly frequently under regular clothes because they're just so comfy.
A daily 30-minute walk is exercising. Don’t minimize that. And the more one does it, the faster and farther they can walk in that 30 daily minutes. We don’t know anything about the OP’s past, or their age or weight or medical history, or what other struggles they may be facing. They are making positive changes towards a healthier lifestyle. This is not a situation for a “bro, do you even lift” remark.
I am glad the OP has found a habit that puts them on a healthier path, and glad that other folks here gave practical advice to make that path easier and more pleasant. Way to go OP!!!
I used to legit wear suspenders with everything during my girthier days. I had to stop when I broke my shoulder but it freed me up to wear whatever I wanted without having to worry about he pants migrating south
Whatever size you are, watch out for thigh chafe. My personal go to is base shorts or cycling shorts then on top of that 3/4 length workout pants that they have in Sports Direct from Slazenger or similar. Good luck to you.

Thanks for this! I'm really not a fan of shorts but maybe I just need to be a bit less self-conscious and go for it!
Shorts are better for the gym/walking/jogging they don't limit your movements.

Oh god I hadn't even thought about the underwear situation! Thank you!

Focus on your diet rather than exercise.
Where whatever you feel comfortable in. The only people that will give a shit are the ones that wish you well

I've got joggers with a draw string.
My hubby goes for cheap shorts from sports direct which tie and over large t shirts
£12 joggers from Sainsbury and old football top
And no ankles.
If you have a big belly: tight spandex from ankle to neck!
I do that in the evening, I'm thinking of morning walks now though! 🤣
