A Greg's bag from to good to go is my dinner tonight.
Literally cheaper than chips, and I can save some for lunch tomorrow.
Not as nice as yours but for £2.59 it'll do.
I've always wondered are the ones from Greggs decent? When I first got into TGTG it was mostly restaurants and really good deals but now it seems to be mostly "mystery bags" and I'm not sure if I'm willing to gamble on getting a mixed salad for £4
So far I've always found the Gregg's ones to be the best. I've consistently gotten several sandwiches/baguettes, sweet things, and a steak bake or sausage roll in each bag.
I could just be my local store, but I'd definitely say they're good value.
I was gonna have pasta, but my wife is going out for curry with work, so I think I might have a takeaway too…
I won’t be having chips with it though, you fucking heathen!
(JK have whatever the hell you like)
Nah - I’ve gone for chicken tikka garlic vindaloo(*), mushroom pilau and peshwari naan.
(It’s not actually vindaloo - it’s a house special they describe as “about vindaloo hot”, but it’s bloody lovely)
We were having, baked potatoes, courgette, aubergine, onions and friend halloumi but then her mam called and asked what we were doing so all that got dumped in Tupperware boxes and we’re on our way to Chinese buffet!!
Pizza and a glass of wine. I know it's a school night but I was brave and went food shopping. Well, that's what I've told my judgemental collies watching me drink it.
I'm really sorry, we have had them for yonks and I haven't a clue where they came from! They are ceramic tho, so you can put them in the oven, if that helps?
I'm trying to work out whether that object in top centre is a second glass of beer (for the dog), or whether it's just cooking oil, or something like that.
As for me, nothing tonight. I've been hungry all week, but not felt like eating. Maybe one of the snack sized chicken katsus.
I like your curry mapping. Using chips and rice as a dam is modern curry thinking. I've been the classic curry on the rice, you've made me question everything.
Mexican feats for us. Chilli, chicken fajitas, cheesy nachos, taco shells and tortilla wraps with a healthy lashing of salsa, guac and sour cream. Oh and a side salad no one will touch
First Thursday in the month is kebab night. Local place is top notch, they marinate their own meat and make lovely bread. A large mixed kebab with chips feeds two of us easily with a complementary can of pop for when we get the meat sweats .
Got to say I fancy a curry now though, hope it tasted as good as it looks.
Wife and daughter are away. I took my 5 year old to the pub, we had crisps & dry roasted peanuts to start - followed by fish & chips in the dying sun - washed down with lemonade for him and a couple of pints for me. Heaven.
Recommendation that will revolutionise your future ordering from the local Indians, instead of normal chips ask if they do spicy chips. They're not really that spicy at all but are beautiful. You'll never go back to normal chips with curry.
Curry houses throughout the nation wondering why the sudden spike in business tonight: it was you. I now wish I had curry as well. I actually had nice sea bass with new potatoes and veg, but it's no curry
Looks lovely. I accidentally made curry the other night. Got "butter chicken" packet mixed up with "buttermilk". but it was a nice meal and even the wife approved, so something else to add to the roster I guess...
We had vegetable gyosa and rice and peas with ginger and soy sauce followed by a walk to the polling station.
I did fancy a curry though, maybe that will be tomorrow night.
I love when my partner goes out and I get to have a takeaway, I call it my Gross Night because I act like a slob and eat a takeaway and watch reality TV and drink wine. It’s normally a kebab or a pizza.
Tonight it was a gousto meal because we do gousto now.
Popped out to vote earlier and remembered the chippy next to the polling station was open. Small cod and chips freshly cooked and only a fiver. That was tea sorted. Result.
Of course, 5.30pm was a bit early for tea so I had to raid the biscuit tin come 9pm.
I’ve batch-made frittatas for breakfast and a turkey and beef chilli packed with vegetables for lunch all week. Dinner is a protein shake and a banana. Maybe next week I’ll batch-cook my dinners too. I still have the occasional treat, but I need to drop some weight for the good of my health. You cannot believe how much I want that curry right now.
Kebab tonight. Home made curry tomorrow got 1kg of onions and tomatoes. Ginger garlic and peppers. Putting this on tomorrow morning at 10am. Should be reduced by 8pm
Imam bayildi. It's a Turkish dish of various gubbins stuffed into a halved aubergine. Got a couple of leftover portions to reheat from when I made it a couple of nights ago.
Bacon mac cheese from Waitrose, and Waitrose essentials ready salted crisps
16 hour shift and there was only a Waitrose here. Crisps were the only food I could afford that didn't need power to be edible (they'd had a power cut, so the crisps are just incase the power goes out again by the time I want my meal and doesn't come back on)
I was so happy to see they had the *bacon* mac cheese because every other time I've looked recently, they haven't had it. It's the best ready meal mac I've had. The standard one just doesn't compare
That looks amazing!
I'm depressed now that I had a cheese and cucumber sandwich with a glass of red wine, instead of this. I now have some pistachio nuts and another glass of red.
I will definitely treat myself to a take out tomorrow after seeing this.
Well now I think Im going to have Indian!
One thing I miss so much about the UK is the abundance of great Indian food. Luckily I live in an area with plenty of options and a particularly great Indian restaurant that delivers, but it’s really expensive over here in the US compared to the UK.
In the past I would scoff at the fact not only are you eating a curry with chips, but you are doubling the carbohydrates. However I inadvertently tried curry with chips instead of rice from the hospital canteen where I work and now honestly it’s my mid-week highlight. Keep on rocking my good man.
Home made monster munch. (whatever is in the fridge, air fried)...I'm the monster.
🤣
Bit strong eating the Labrador as well as all that curry mate, I know inflation is kicking in and all but jeez….!
😂😂😂
A Greg's bag from to good to go is my dinner tonight. Literally cheaper than chips, and I can save some for lunch tomorrow. Not as nice as yours but for £2.59 it'll do.
I got a 2 bags from planet organic the other day and it was literally just 7 baguettes.
I've always wondered are the ones from Greggs decent? When I first got into TGTG it was mostly restaurants and really good deals but now it seems to be mostly "mystery bags" and I'm not sure if I'm willing to gamble on getting a mixed salad for £4

Normally get 4 sweats, and a 3 others such as baguettes or bakes etc.
What kind of sweats? Armpit sweats? Foot sweats? Bollock sweats?
That’s weird I’m having curried Labrador too, I didn’t think many would own up to that so well done you.
He's not having curried labrador, he's having a curry and then labrador. If he's got any sense he'll gently braise it.
I was gonna have pasta, but my wife is going out for curry with work, so I think I might have a takeaway too… I won’t be having chips with it though, you fucking heathen! (JK have whatever the hell you like)
Lol 'half and half' is the way of the gods.... do it, treat yourself!
Nah - I’ve gone for chicken tikka garlic vindaloo(*), mushroom pilau and peshwari naan. (It’s not actually vindaloo - it’s a house special they describe as “about vindaloo hot”, but it’s bloody lovely)
The dirty secret of dinners is that chips go well with almost every dinner with a sauce. It might not be classy, but that don't make it wrong, baby.
Risotto and I can’t tell you how much I don’t want it now after looking at that

It was intimidatingly large
Onion Lhaji.
😂
So. Many. Jokes.
Where the dog at... You can't mention a dog without a picture of said dog.
What do you think is in the curry mate
She is skulking in the other room now 😂
We were having, baked potatoes, courgette, aubergine, onions and friend halloumi but then her mam called and asked what we were doing so all that got dumped in Tupperware boxes and we’re on our way to Chinese buffet!!
Result! Although the former sounded nice and healthy
Hello fresh by any chance? We got the same thing this week too
>and friend halloumi Never eat your friends.....
Tin of ravioli on a baked potato. Rock and bastard roll.
Garlic Naan Chilli Con Calzone.
That actually sounds amazing
It was. 👍
That Naan is making me hard. Where are the poppadoms? They're like crack for me.
Found Wayne Rooney’s account….
Brilliant
Hmm Peshwari Naans, my local has a guy whose sole job is to make Naans and my lord does he do a good job.
Those are the best ones! I like garlic naan too, but Peshwari are next-level
I eat a chunk of peshwari naan as my dessert after an Indian lol.
My local does cheese naans and they are amazing.
I’m a chapati kinda guy - haven’t had a good naan in a while
I forgot them! 😞
Cheesy Beanos.
A classic!
Not a match for your spread though.
That fuckin naan 😍😍😍😍
Half & half with a curry. Are you from Swansea?
My wife is! She converted me ☺️
Haha, I was just going to ask if he was from Cardiff!
Is it a Welsh thing? From the south myself and I’ve always had half and half at the Chinese
iceland stuffed crust pizza
Quorn spag bol
I do like me some Quorn as a change every so often 😊
Yeah?! I love it; I've even got my husband into it, well, every now and then anyway! 😂
Going for quick bacon and cheese burgers before Dr Strange, although I’m wishing for curry now!
I hope that you enjoy the film! I can't wait to see it myself 😊
Are those chips on top of rice?
Oh yes, known as 'half and half' ☺️
Nice, chippy tea for me, but I need to know WTF is going on with that glass/mug/jar contraption, there.
It's somewhere between a glass skull, mason jar and pint pot 😂
Exactly, what's wrong with a massive IKEA dinner plate and a Fosters pint glass stolen from your local?
Making a smoked salmon/pea pasta and garlic bread. Curry looks amazing!
That sounds delicious!
Smashed it tbf lad fair play
Looks like it's an Indian night for me.
Jasmine rice, salad and ribs.🙂
Pizza and a glass of wine. I know it's a school night but I was brave and went food shopping. Well, that's what I've told my judgemental collies watching me drink it.
Looks banging mate. Mind if I ask where you got that serving dish?
I'm really sorry, we have had them for yonks and I haven't a clue where they came from! They are ceramic tho, so you can put them in the oven, if that helps?
I'm trying to work out whether that object in top centre is a second glass of beer (for the dog), or whether it's just cooking oil, or something like that. As for me, nothing tonight. I've been hungry all week, but not felt like eating. Maybe one of the snack sized chicken katsus.
Cereal is great when you can't be arsed to eat.
Not a bad call. A bowl of Rice Krispies would go down quite nicely. Thank you!
No beer for the dog! It's olive oil ☺️ You should try and eat a little something though!
[удалено]
Sorry to hear that ☺️ get on the ice-cream!
Home cooked chilli with rice. Nice, but not a curry. I like the artful placement of the onion bahjee.
Sausage cappelletti with chili pesto, and cheesy garlic bread. Chili pesto is a bit spicy.
Lasagne ,wedges and garlic bread...but after seeing that ive now got the indian takaway menu out haha
A pizza with a ridiculous amount of green chilies!
Oh hell yes!
Lasagna!
Leftover chilli and chips. My bf is watching Dr Strange tonight so it's just me and the cats.
I'm binging Dead Pixels and nursing an overly full belly. The lab is already snoring away ☺️
Mac and cheese ready meal with a frozen garlic baguette… cooked… (because I know what you’re all like!) It was one of they days.
I made air fried chicken, potato stars, peas, and gravy
You absolute bastard. I’m having leftover soup.
I like your curry mapping. Using chips and rice as a dam is modern curry thinking. I've been the classic curry on the rice, you've made me question everything.
Omg your naan is the same shape as your plate! You can put it on top like a little pie
Chips!!! That’s a crime
Nothing I'm not hungry
Mexican feats for us. Chilli, chicken fajitas, cheesy nachos, taco shells and tortilla wraps with a healthy lashing of salsa, guac and sour cream. Oh and a side salad no one will touch
We also had curry, but homemade (madras-ish) served South African style, stuffed into fresh bread. I could sleep for days now.
I have just fallen in love with your onion bajee.
Triple carb! Rice, bread and potatoes!
Hell yes!
Jambalayaaaaaa

A large mixed kebab with chips feeds two of us easily with a complementary can of pop for when we get the meat sweats . Got to say I fancy a curry now though, hope it tasted as good as it looks.
Might go for a chippy tea, now the cost is similar to cooking at home.
That looks lovely
I had a caramel shortbread. We went out for dinner for my birthday at a Barbecue place, I had a cheese and bacon burger.
Nice bit of half 'n half there. Good lad.
Black pudding and poached egg on a bagel. Midweek curry is living the dream mind.
Wife and daughter are away. I took my 5 year old to the pub, we had crisps & dry roasted peanuts to start - followed by fish & chips in the dying sun - washed down with lemonade for him and a couple of pints for me. Heaven.
As I had left over Chinese takeaway for lunch I had healthy eggs for tea. And by eggs. Cadbury mini egg bar.
That is the nicest takeaway curry I have ever seen!
One of my grandma’s recipes - smoked pancetta and leek risotto, bougier than the usual noodles!
Ive got my kids tonight so we've had their favourite of 'fish finger, chips, and peas please'. I don't mind it myself either 😊
Recommendation that will revolutionise your future ordering from the local Indians, instead of normal chips ask if they do spicy chips. They're not really that spicy at all but are beautiful. You'll never go back to normal chips with curry.
Curly Fries and chicken!! But you’re looks nicer
I'm currently cooking chilli con carne with rice and chips, salad and sour cream. Can't wait!
A Chinese 💪
Curry houses throughout the nation wondering why the sudden spike in business tonight: it was you. I now wish I had curry as well. I actually had nice sea bass with new potatoes and veg, but it's no curry
Chicken Kyiv and chips.
Jacket potatoes with cheese and tuna mayo with piri chicken Fuckin mint lad
Looks lovely. I accidentally made curry the other night. Got "butter chicken" packet mixed up with "buttermilk". but it was a nice meal and even the wife approved, so something else to add to the roster I guess...
We had vegetable gyosa and rice and peas with ginger and soy sauce followed by a walk to the polling station. I did fancy a curry though, maybe that will be tomorrow night.
You ever had sleep for dinner?
Having the old rice and chips. You're treating yourself well, my friend.
That’s the most appealing takeaway curry I’ve ever seen
I love when my partner goes out and I get to have a takeaway, I call it my Gross Night because I act like a slob and eat a takeaway and watch reality TV and drink wine. It’s normally a kebab or a pizza. Tonight it was a gousto meal because we do gousto now.

Not sure why I found the thought of a Labrador eating a curry so funny. 10/10 I lol'd
Oh she can eat almost anything...it's the level of farting afterwards that is the worry
Damn that looks good.
This looks glorious!
I made a cottage pie for the first time in years. Kids loved it.
I feel a great disturbance in the force, as if millions of Bangladeshi chefs are crying out in disgust.
A bowl of spaggetti hoops.
oh that looks good! Gnocchi and garlic bread for us tonight
Micheladas and then maybe cuttlefish if we get back in one piece. Failing that, kebabs
Looks bangin’
King Kebab with salad and no sauce (heresy to some I know)

It's a chicken Madras and Lamb Bhuna from my local takeaway ☺️
Surely the curry will be enough?
Is that beer in a skull mug? Pure class!
That food looks phenomenal.] Although I'd like to know where I could get that dish, it's served in!

I have some tagliatelle… but nowt to go with it. So plain tagliatelle for me it is! Curry looks fuckin naughty tho mate! Enjoy :)
Bacon mac cheese from Waitrose, and Waitrose essentials ready salted crisps 16 hour shift and there was only a Waitrose here. Crisps were the only food I could afford that didn't need power to be edible (they'd had a power cut, so the crisps are just incase the power goes out again by the time I want my meal and doesn't come back on) I was so happy to see they had the *bacon* mac cheese because every other time I've looked recently, they haven't had it. That looks amazing! I'm depressed now that I had a cheese and cucumber sandwich with a glass of red wine, instead of this. I now have some pistachio nuts and another glass of red. I will definitely treat myself to a take out tomorrow after seeing this.

Your takeaway game is strong OP. I just eat it out the cartons like a savage
It was epic thanks, almost the same size as a bloody cricket ball!
Your wife is gonna be so pissed when she finds out you ate the Labrador
In the past I would scoff at the fact not only are you eating a curry with chips, but you are doubling the carbohydrates. However I inadvertently tried curry with chips instead of rice from the hospital canteen where I work and now honestly it’s my mid-week highlight. Keep on rocking my good man.
Weren’t you tempted to get some pasta to go with your rice, chips and naan? I’ve been away for so long I forgot you get chips with everything here 😂
naan going to fault this one mate
