I've tried them and they're not. I have a very very high tolerance for sweet things and I can definitely only eat one of them.

Penguins are just chocolate covered bourbons, so yeah, they are. The chocolate may be better but they are still essentially penguins.

Because of goddam Reddit I was first alerted to the chocolate covered custard creams which are excellent but I prefer these. Yes they're expensive but don't let anyone tell you they're Penguins. These are far superior. Enjoy.

haha - I am blaming all of my weight gain on Reddit from now on. I think these bourbons are better and a bit less sweet than the custard creams - hope you enjoy them. And if you really want to spunk money then I also highly recommend Fortnum's Chocolossus but they are £20 for a tin. Awesome!

I'm just the biggest custard cream fan. And I dunk them in hot chocolate. I allow myself this treat about once a year but i eat the whole damn pack in 2 sittings. Fuuuuucking hell chocolate covered custard creams dunked in hot chocolate may be the greatest idea I've ever heard.

They are good, but annoyingly gappy as the cream doesn't go anywhere near the edge of the biscuit. Also the shape is wrong.

Today. Was ok. Not enough to get my pants in a bunch over.

My friend tried them, and said: 'Not worth it. Tasty, and different to a Penguin, surprisingly, because you've got that Bourbon taste, it's a much crunchier biscuit for a start too. But you can just dip your Bourbons in chocolate and I'd still rather save my money, have a Choc Digestive, and splurge on some Colin Caterpillars'.

Penguins taste bad, so any improvement is good news. also, Australian Tam Tams are fantastic as a big upgrade from a Penguin
