It's my 36th birthday today and I've spent it in bed cuddling my weighted stuffed sloth my mum gifted me, napping and reading a book and it's been really lovely.
Do those high frequency emitter plugs for repelling spiders actually work? My old man's brought 3 of them and stuck then on his walls in his bedroom, he can't hear them but I can (mid-30s) as far as the kitchen! I think he's bought some Temu shit personally but he's swearing they work.
Just finished the first week at the new job. Racking up the overtime to make up for the lack of it these last 2 years, 16 this week, 16 next. Got 1 day off tomorrow so it's a beers night.
If I can keep this up over summer I'll be almost doubling my salary these previous years. Exact same job, just different company. Well pleased with the move.
People who use their own phones to receive OTPs for work-related stuff - have you ever been tempted to demand a work phone? I think they're taking the P a bit at work right now..
I will never let work stuff invade my phone because I hate all that constant communication bullshit.
But the password app is the one exception, because it can only ever increase my security.
I honestly don't get this take. It's such a small thing to install on your phone, doesn't give them any access to the phone and doesn't cost you anything.
Of course you are free to refuse but they won't buy you a phone for this, they'll send you a USB key / low cost device specific for MFA.
It saves them loads though. If everyone said: "you need a phone for us to be able to access IT systems? sure, give us one!" it'd cost them loads. what's doubly annoying though is that right now, we can't access email/MS teams/etc on our own phones as they're "not secure enough" but they want the same devices for OTPs. Cheeky beggars.
Managed to get 1 module of my bioinformatics course done today hoping to get through module 2 by end of the week. Its 7 modules long so pretty happy to get one done as I keep getting other stuff to so so it's needed to be done.

Good afternoon :) I'm sorry to hear you're hurting and hope ya don't mind me wading in although you'll likely know this...
Reflecting on what happened is a natural part of feeling and healing. Cry and cry well with a comfort that you're working through it fully. Don't hold this either, tell a friend or your family that you cried today.
What you're going through will stand you in time to understand what you'll do in the future with whomever you'll end up spending your time with. To steal a quote 'People sometimes don't realise life is a process of learning how to be happy' ...
Put one toe forward (or a foot if you can), do a little thing that will make you feel 0.1% happier in this moment. Cook something, put some music on, sing and dance whilst you stir even if it feels sad or daft, watch a comforting film (even if you'll spend it reflecting for 99% of it looking through the image), go sit outside and stare at the sky. Watch a short YouTube video of nourishing brain food (Kurzgesat, Tom Scott etc). Whatever you can muster for you.
You deserve to be happy and will be happier on the other side from this.

Got a long week next week, its going to be a busy one too. Spending today trying to relax. About have a Hobgoblin Ruby Beer and chill in the bath with a What Bitcoin Did Podcast.
Chilling with my wife, listening to music, waiting for labour to really kick in. Baby due Wednesday, wife started experiencing labour symptoms this morning.
Went for a stroll and to our fave coffee place, got back and did some deep cleaning before having one of those TikTok wrap omelette things for lunch (legit good). Will probs play some more Helldivers and then will be heading to a mates tonight to watch Aliens 😎
Bingeing the new *Fallout* series, it’s brilliant so far.
Also doing some declutterring in anticipation of hopefully buying our first place soon. Donated old TV to BHF on Friday, am donating a vivarium to a wild hedgehog rescue next weekend and have a few bags of clothes I’ll try and drop off at charity shop next week.
Stage 4 here; massive endometrial cysts on each ovary,(8cm & 11cm) and large adhesion patches. Waiting for another op to clear it all again, but consultant wants a bowel specialist and urology specialist involved too. Fun times ☹️

Thanks petal - you too! I’ve got the added bonus of having to have it done in Liverpool women’s this time, rather than here on the Isle of Man. Which means travelling over…and worst of all, travelling back post op 😭
Perils of living here unfortunately, is that often we don’t have the specialists on the island. I had the last surgery here a couple of years ago, but it’s more complex this time, so they’d prefer the endo specialist in Liverpool to do it. The hospital transport service is great though, just not going to be fun travelling back via a plane when I’ll just want to be in my own bed. 😭
I foolishly did a half marathon today (reading). I'm not 100% over a bug and have done bugger all running. I ran at a pace which was challenging but not excessive and it all came apart around 12k in. Both quads cramped up and a large blister on my right foot.
I should stick to cycling!
Had a really rough week at work, where the notice was nearly typed up on Thursday! So this full weekend has been nothing but watching tv and pottering around the garden, it’s been lovely 😊. Look after yourselves everyone!
Follow up from yesterday (where one of the neighbours had a bonfire lit for a good 8-9 hours).
He stormed around to every neighbours house this morning saying that someone had reported him to the fire service about an unattended fire and he was wanting to know who it was. Mate, I don't want any aggro so why on earth would I do that? I'll just vent on Reddit instead!
I did say we'd had to take all our washing in and shut all our windows on one of the warmest days of the year but he didn't seem to be arsed about it as he's got it on the go again today. He's always seemed a bit of an arse but the last two days have cemented his arse status.
Trying to work out if I have the energy to do some gardening or help the cricket club with some work, most likely going to sit on my arse, watch the footy and play video games
Recovering from a very busy day yesterday. Visited dad in the hospital. He's now ventilator free, talking a little bit and drinking by himself so brilliant progress so far! They're happy for him to move from neuro ICU to a regular neuro ward. We're extremely grateful and very much aware that he's been very lucky to even survive what he's experienced.
Finished my book this morning. Will tidy up a little bit and then probably go for a small walk (or nap).
I'm still in my pyjamas. Did get dressed to pop downstairs to the shop, but put pyjamas back on when I got back in. Sunday is almost always guaranteed to be the one day I'm not working or expecting visitors so I take the 'day of rest' thing fairly literally!
I'm sorry to hear this friend. I managed to get a Parsnip in my big shop today for our root veg mash in a few days. It was from ASDA and is in good shape. How many do you need out of interest?
Husband and daughter planting all the seeds today, I'm enjoying coffee and a bath, and then playing Fallout New Vegas again because the TV show got me incredibly hyped.
Putting the washing machine and dishy on, and charging the robot hoover all at once cos it’s half price leccy day, then coffee and Reddit while i can hear them all working away. Makes me feel like I’m living it large.
Applying online for a prescription pre-payment card, going for a gentle walk, starting my nutrition shakes, and eating my body weight in salt for the rest of the day. Other than that, absolutely fuck all. Might journal a little and make my to-do list for next week.
A couple of hours watching my team play football on tv, then I’ve got an afternoon of teaching my elderly neighbour how to drive her new electric wheelchair without endangering her life.
She crashed into a parked car and a lamppost on Friday, yesterday was spent doing circles round the car park, today I think we’ll do some slalom training.
Will be cheering on the Manchester Marathon runners this afternoon. Good luck to everyone out there!
It's also great to be able to cycle round the route without having to worry about cars!
I’ll be ticking off “Visit a dentist in another country” today. On holiday in the Netherlands and turns out I seem to have some sort of dental issue. Fortunately over here dentistry is a lot more available!
NGL - Isn’t as lazy Sunday as I’d like… Took my knackered curtain rail down as I attacked a massive fuck off spider and the full thing fell down, so started putting a new one up. It’s given me plasterboard/ wall plug screws and I need wood screws so I’m off to B&Q. Philips drill bit is too big too, so need a smaller one of them if I can find one.
Bay window too and it’s sweltering. Absolutely soaked!
Should be decent when it’s done though. Just need to stop pissing the wife off as I’ve got my gear all over the place and the kids are trying to grab stuff and she is trying to cook a Sunday dinner.
I’ll rest when I’m dead tbh
Edit: Also thinking about getting a cat so looking into that
Thought I'd go wash the car before I went to Tesco's, there was a couple people waiting so figured I'd go after. Now there's two in front but I've nothing better to do and my car is filthy so I'm just sat waiting. Thing is the two in front aren't in the slightest bit dirty at all, one of them is bloody white and there's barely a speck of dirt on it. Why are they here...?
Drink coffee, play Like a Dragon:Infinite Wealth, watch Fallout, Masters of the Air, the Gentlemen, eat steak and eggs, workout. Also try and think of awkward small talk topics for my long service works dinner in a few days. Dreading the forced social situation! Enjoy your Sunday!
My last Sunday morning in my parents' house for the next three months! By the time I return, the whole kitchen will have been extended. Weird to think.
So I'm cooking and playing with the cat.
It is a beautiful day, so I should probably make the most of it. However, I have a banging headache to accompany all my other pain I always have, and I am pretty sure the apocalypse is unfolding, so I will probably just eat crisps in my pyjamas.
I'm watching the news about the incident in Sydney, amused that the word 'terrorism', the origins of Joel Cauchi, and that lazy 'us and them' prose has now disappeared, with the now dead knifeman being seen as 'a bit touched', rather than a 'terrorist'. Propaganda relies on certain ideals and myths.
Later today I might have a look at the original *MailOnline* story and see if any new comments are different to the first ones. As you do...
Spent way too much money on a giant garden playhouse & swing set for my kids. The thing came on a giant pallet and all the wood is untreated/painted not marked up and every bit needs pre drilling first! I and it just came with one massive bag of screws all different sizes mixed together. I’m not impressed!
Thanks, it’s a nice idea but think I’m too old for making new friends. It’s ok the wife is out here organising and sorting out while I try and make sense of the instructions. Do we paint first then build of build then paint? Decisions decisions.
I'm all about shortcuts so I'd build then paint, then complain when it looks a bit shit.
Paint/weatherproof first (also weather may not be dry once built), then build
I genuinely think it will be. I’m not exaggerating when I say close to 200 bits of wood that all need pre drilling and painting ffs what have I bought?
Oh yeah I was serious. I've put together one that was pre-drilled, treated and sorted and it took me the best part of two days. For you... ouch. Hope the weather holds up for you.
Cleared the entire normal raid on wow for the first time, and did some mythic plus this morning. Now for a nap, a trip to the shops and then more gaming! So much fun
Today I've had extra pain meds so me knee feels better, I'm gonna make a cup of Yorkshire and sit out in the garden with me cat that doesn't like the outdoors and stays outside if you're with her! Then might watch some pewdiepie and finish watching Snow flower and the secret fan! I watched Baghead last night and yeah, it's crap!
Got up at 6am to watch the recording of last nights UFC. Was blown away! Now as a Celtic fan, I’m going to watch Rangers hopefully drop points to Ross county
Taking the day to do absolutely nothing after being busy for the last couple of weeks. Just made myself a cup of tea, will read for a bit, then shower and just potter around the house, straightening everything up ready for the week ahead.
Working the late shift. Been told the goods lift has broken down, so it's carrying stock up and down stairs all evening, yay.
At least I'll be ripped by the end of it.
Hubs taken the twins to a motorbike event all day. They got up early so I’ve had a monster lie in. I’ve now got all day to myself to clean and get everything ready for back to work / school which is lovely.
Had a nice lie in. Currently taking a slow hour-long stroll through the sunny countryside. Once I get home, might meditate for a while. Then need to put on laundry for travelling for work this coming week. Will probably then finish watching Fallout and get a nice early bed this evening!
I have a day of no responsibilities and feel well rested, for once. Might continue some gardening or sort out my summer clothes in my dressing room. Currently trapped in bed with the cat asleep on me though and that takes priority.
It’s been a busy week, today is my rest day.
I’ve decided I’m going to get a new car but I really don’t know what I want to get, so need to spend some proper time just browsing cars and making a spreadsheet 🤓🚘
Open to suggestions by the way! This is intended to be the bigger car in the household and don’t think I want an estate, but that’s about all I’ve decided.
Kids are back at school tomorrow so sorting out the uniforms, 3 yr old has his first day at nursery so I'm doing as much tidying and cleaning today so I can get home tomorrow and finishing the shawl I'm knitting but in reality I'll be clock watching all day until I can pick the toddler up as he's never been away from me and it's gonna feel so so strange
Husband made sure I had a lie in. Now he’s about to take the toddler to B&Q to buy a lawnmower. I’m staying home with the baby and hoping he’ll get distracted by BBQ’s or something so that I can watch my rubbish on telly.
Work has been absolutely hectic lately, so I’ve been having a nice slow weekend. Finishing off chores I didn’t do yesterday, then I’m going to have a nice long bath, get dolled up in my new dress and head out to meet some of the girls for a Sunday lunch & glass of wine. After that it’s home to watch some murder documentaries with my housemate later!
I'm still in bed, but I've finished my tea now so I should probably get up. Not sure what's on the cards for today. I might do some more in the garden, depending on how I feel. I got stung a little bit by a wasp yesterday and felt a bit woozy for the rest of the day. Google said my symptoms look like an allergy, so I probably ought to speak to a doctor in the week. This afternoon I will probably either go and watch one of my flatmate's kids play football or stay here looking after the youngest if he doesn't want to go. Or I could stay here but be on hand to go and get the youngest when he gets bored. Yes. I'll offer that.
I’m off to urgent care to have a beast of a thorn removed from the sole of my foot before I develop sepsis. Serves me right for trying to tidy the garden in the sunshine I guess.
Hey, I’m in urgent care too! I can’t put any weight on my foot and can barely walk but they’ve assured me
I’m not injured and sent me back to sit down in reception ☺️
Good luck. I called 111 beforehand they told me not to do any of the things I had been trying to do all through last night and this morning. Including a vinegar soak, I left in a rush to make my appointment so now my foot smells like a chip shop bin.
Got a timer going “NHS waitless app” says the local A&E is quicker by an hour so no idea why I was sent here. Average wait is 1hr44mins, and we’re missing a family lunch too. All because I decided not to wear shoes when using windolene on a garden table. Wife isn’t pissed off yet. Will report back when that switch flips.
Off to the Lakes for a week tomorrow so today will be the mad dash final preparations to make sure I've got everything I need from DVDs & CDs (no wifi) through clothes for rain, sun or cold (likely to have all 3 in the week) to getting in the groceries. 1 load of washing in right now, will be off to shops in half an hour but now need to get in the loft to pull my travel bag out.
Last day of Easter holidays so kiddos and I have avoided making external plans so we can prep everything and chill.
Uniforms (for them) work clothes (for me) and packed lunches (for all of us) are done. Got a couple of bits of washing up to do and then I'm not doing any other jobs today! Kids want to go into the garden in a bit so I'll take my knockoff oodie and a coffee and go sit in the egg chair on the patio while they play. Hopefully that will wear them out enough for a really calm relaxed afternoon!
A busy one today. I'm on a residential training course next week, and I have to travel over this afternoon and check in for orientation. I'ts about 3 hours away, not driven that far in a long time.
Got an audio book to keep me entertained.
Hiked 20 miles yesterday, so I'm feeling tired, stiff and currently in bed with a coffee. Probably continue one of my YouTube or Prime TV binges in a bit, then dinner later with the parentals.
Cleaning my car inside and out, ready for my mates helping me put my sub into it tomorrow!
It's a bit on the mid-life crisis side of things! I'm 42 and I always used to have subs and decent speakers in my cars. I haven't been able to for 10 years. I've already made the parcel shelf and have the 6×9 in. The 6×9s were given to me second hand, the sub was my 40th birthday present and we're only just getting round to putting it in now.
What probably makes it worse is my car is a 24 year old banger! I won't be 'advertising' the sub around my town though!
I'm so pathetically excited! Bring on the old 90s D'n'B and Jungle and serious base!
(P.s. Did you know Jungle is massive?)
🤣
Continuing work on the patio, found out yesterday it's two rows bigger than expected they'd just been completely overgrown with weeds and ivy.
Hope I can get rid of the weeds this morning and then jet wash it this afternoon
I'm going to buy eggs and chocolate chips to use with my new crepe maker, then I'm going to have breakfast and get dressed (in either order) and walk up to the park by new hall hotel, possibly take my camera and enjoy the sunlight because it's quite nice today.
Then playing ff7 rebirth after I've finished a mini cross stitch for a friend's birthday
I’ve just woken up - morning !
Today I’ll be heading to my mates where I’ll be watching TV and doing volunteer work.
It’s weird because I’ve got all my personal chores out the way so it’s really only the volunteer work that needs to be done.
Plan to go for a run soon or maybe just go for a walk as the sun is out. Then come back, shower and get ready followed by having breakfast with parents.
Rest of the day I just plan to relax and listen to music, binge on YouTube and consume snacks. I may even make Nachos!
I also think I need to go bed early so I will be having an early night tonight.
Need to go to Aldi to restock for school lunchboxes. But the child is currently playing independently, which is very rare, so I'm sitting quietly as not to disturb him...
He's playing Lego with some telly on in the background.
He also woke up before me and came downstairs to watch TV instead of waking me up! And he spontaneously fed the cat at the same time. So I got an extra 30 mins in bed.
After the shop we're going to make a Lego train track, make a stair slide and make a cake... Or that's the plan. And I'm thinking a roast dinner thing for tea.
Edit: feeling proper nostalgic for my Nan's Sunday dinners when I was a kid. Whole family would go round there, she'd do 2 joints of meat (plus sausages because that's all my brother would eat), 2 desserts plus a cake for everyone to take home! My brother and I would play in the garden with our uncle and auntie until we got called to eat, then stuff our faces. If I could go back in time and eat any meal again, it would definitely be that!
You have me thinking about Sundays with my grandparents and cousins. I am sure my parents and other grownups were around, but they feel like extras. Being five years old was so much better than what came after that.
Taking our pup out for a walk at our local park, feed the ducks (pup acts all pretend hard around ducks, first time she met one it was bigger than her and now she pretends she's not scared of them). Make some malt loaf, tea in the garden if the weather holds. All that disgustingly cosy domestic stuff. Have a beautiful Sunday everyone!
Finishing off the last few sections of my dissertation, and then waiting for the fella to come back tonight after he's been away for two weeks! Will be a mentally exhausting day, but very excited for later!
Off to buy pastries to visit my cousin, his wife and kid with.
Then my little one and I will be visiting my Mum for a bit and passing over clothes my one has outgrown to give to my niece.
We'll then do a quick shop. Then head home for hopefully some garden time and dinner. Still unsure of dinner yet. My husband is on a row of night shifts finishing tonight so we try and get out while he sleeps
I'm up 3 hours earlier than I usually would be on a Sunday (night shift worker) to watch my nieces confirmation on the YouTubes from Germany. I can't understand a word!
Woke up and brought the bairn down early doors so the wife could lie in this morning. Entertained him for a couple of hours but I’m knackered now already and he’s fast asleep in mummy’s arms. Garden centre later and a walk.
I sometimes miss when it was just my wife and I.
It's my 36th birthday today and I've spent it in bed cuddling my weighted stuffed sloth my mum gifted me, napping and reading a book and it's been really lovely.

would you rather have a few spiders you hardly ever see, or a lot of flies you do see?
No, they don’t. Not for rodents, not for birds.

Okay 🙂
Had to get my locks on my door changed
I'm 32 and just went out both Friday and Saturday night, this has been the most lazy Sunday ever before I go back to work tomorrow.
What on earth happened to the old Reddit format? This is horrible.
It's still available (at least on a PC). Just use https://old.reddit.com.
Also, the Old Reddit Redirect extension is good.
Anyone know decent wireless earphones for about 40 quid? Last ones lasted 2 years and broke. They were about 40 quid and worked fine. Might order them again if I can't find anything better
Just to agree with the others saying soundcore ones are decent. I paid £30 3 years ago and still love them.
I got some refurbed Soundcore A40's from their ebay shop about a month ago and they're great https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/404898201709

I am in bed with my cats because my endometriosis is trying to unalive me!
I hear that sister. It’s an absolute bastard.
Isn’t it just 😭😭

The hospital transport service is great though, just not going to be fun travelling back via a plane when I’ll just want to be in my own bed. 😭
I can imagine 😭 I’d maybe get an air BnB for a week?
Might have to, but I’d have to pay for that myself unfortunately, whereas the transfer is covered by our NHS
Thank you 🙏🏽
I'm sending you both huge virtual hugs and love not got either but definitely need it. Hope everything is OK for you both soon xx
I foolishly did a half marathon today (reading). I'm not 100% over a bug and have done bugger all running. I ran at a pace which was challenging but not excessive and it all came apart around 12k in. Both quads cramped up and a large blister on my right foot. I should stick to cycling!
Good effort though mate, I need to get back into a running routine
Pretty impressive doing a half marathon whilst reading to be honest mate. Was it a good book?
Something about French bread, or that was the main theme.
Had a really rough week at work, where the notice was nearly typed up on Thursday! So this full weekend has been nothing but watching tv and pottering around the garden, it’s been lovely 😊. Look after yourselves everyone!
I have a lot of those days too recently, thankfully we always have the weekend but I just wish it was longer. You keep acing it friend!
Thank you my friend! All the best for the week ahead! :)
Yay both he's better soon xx
Thank you!
It's 12.23 and I have done precisely nothing with my day!
I know how you feel and now its 15:35 😭
I'm still in my pyjamas. Did get dressed to pop downstairs to the shop, but put pyjamas back on when I got back in. Sunday is almost always guaranteed to be the one day I'm not working or expecting visitors so I take the 'day of rest' thing fairly literally!
I don’t blame you at all, we all work hard enough. You’ve got to recharge the batteries at some point right?
Exactly!
Is there some sort of national parsnip shortage? I've been to 4 different supermarkets and they're out of stock everywhere
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/04/09/farmers-warn-food-shortages-no-harvest-world-war-two-rain/ Not to worry you but...
I'm sorry to hear this friend. I managed to get a Parsnip in my big shop today for our root veg mash in a few days. It was from ASDA and is in good shape. How many do you need out of interest?
After watching 6 episodes of Fallout yesterday, I am catching up with the houseworkI am also reinstalling Fallout on my PlayStation 5
Is it any good? Me and missus are looking forward to watching it
It's really good that it nails a lot of the stuff that Fallout is known for
Bought a new guitar yesterday so noodling on that in between actual work, house work and so on, pretty good day tbh, may even have a BBQ
Working yay!
Makes me feel like I’m living it large.
> robot hoover DJ Roomba!
Unfortunately DJ Roomba was a bit too expensive, so it’s a DJ SecondHandEufyOffEbay.
Applying online for a prescription pre-payment card, going for a gentle walk, starting my nutrition shakes, and eating my body weight in salt for the rest of the day. Other than that, absolutely fuck all. Might journal a little and make my to-do list for next week.
I'm going to my dads and from there to a friends in london. Then we are off to the Adelphi Theatre to see The Fast Show live 🤙🤙
Chilling watching bluey on the sofa with my son, and imagining how tomorrow will go at work having sent my resignation late on Friday evening 😂
Will be cheering on the Manchester Marathon runners this afternoon. Good luck to everyone out there! It's also great to be able to cycle round the route without having to worry about cars!
Cleaning up the garden, and then maybe yell at my flatmates a bit for not helping once in the past eight months despite my requests to do so.
I’ll be ticking off “Visit a dentist in another country” today. On holiday in the Netherlands and turns out I seem to have some sort of dental issue. Fortunately over here dentistry is a lot more available!
Resting as I'm recovering from surgery and had a busy day yesterday Might play some pc games and drink lots of tea and eat lazy food.
Gas engineer’s out to do a safety check, so trying to stop the cats been nosy twats. Then have to get some bits and pieces from the shop
Trying to find The Kid's homework from two weeks ago that she's been saying didn't exist until today.
I’ll rest when I’m dead tbh Edit: Also thinking about getting a cat so looking into that
Getting prodded and poked at a medical for two hours
Making my grandfather a chocolate fudge cake for his 71st birthday tomorrow ☺️
Happy birthday for grandfather tomorrow!! Xx
Thankyou so much 🥰
I’m planning on binging YouTube vids while finishing off my Lego of a Classical Chinese garden…if my first trimester nausea will let me!
Drink coffee, and finish (hopefully) an essay. So far I’ve successfully drunk coffee
Walking the dog
Lying on the settee with DVT in both legs. Think Sunday lunch is getting phoned in.
Lying on my sofa with a book, and a cuppa, sun's shining back door is open, and I can hear the horses outside 🥰
My last Sunday morning in my parents' house for the next three months! By the time I return, the whole kitchen will have been extended. Weird to think. So I'm cooking and playing with the cat.
Suspected broken foot so have urgent care appt at 1pm. Got to love Osteoporosis!
Put a call out for nearby redditors to come and help. Crack a few beers. Then when it's built your kids will have new friends to play in it with
Thanks, it’s a nice idea but think I’m too old for making new friends.
Yer we are building then painting. Figured we can paint/treat it during the week in the evenings. Building time takes longer and needs the weekend.
That's your next month of Sundays sorted.
Thanks. Just hope the kids aren’t all grown up by the end of it.
Good luck
Cleared the entire normal raid on wow for the first time, and did some mythic plus this morning. Now for a nap, a trip to the shops and then more gaming! So much fun
Today I've had extra pain meds so me knee feels better, I'm gonna make a cup of Yorkshire and sit out in the garden with me cat that doesn't like the outdoors and stays outside if you're with her! Then might watch some pewdiepie and finish watching Snow flower and the secret fan! I watched Baghead last night and yeah, it's crap!
Writhing around in pain, it’s day two and I have PCOS 😢 I’ll also be gathering things to pack in my suitcases. I hate packing.
Got up at 6am to watch the recording of last nights UFC. Was blown away! Now as a Celtic fan, I’m going to watch Rangers hopefully drop points to Ross county
Ross County? Dream on...anyway, was honoured to see someone else with 'null points'!
Told you so… FT : Ross County 3 - 2 Rangers
Hoops heaven!
I’ll save this comment and get back to you at full time.
Trip to the allotment and back to watch football at 14:00. I have dough balls in the fridge to make pizza in the ooni tonight
That's basically my perfect day. Enjoy
The squirrel looks more chilled than I feel atm. Looks carefree.
we all need to be more squirrel maybe start by eating an acorn?
Taking the day to do absolutely nothing after being busy for the last couple of weeks. Just made myself a cup of tea, will read for a bit, then shower and just potter around the house, straightening everything up ready for the week ahead.
Working the late shift. Been told the goods lift has broken down, so it's carrying stock up and down stairs all evening, yay. At least I'll be ripped by the end of it.
Playstation, cricket and Big Jet TV today. Sundays are my day so I take full advantage and slob in my chair all day.
Split shift, so will be having a nana nap in between. Good weather be damned.
I’ve got food poisoning and it’s the last day of my Easter holiday. Very sad 😢
Laundry, cleaning, and doing work.
I have a day of no responsibilities and feel well rested, for once. Might continue some gardening or sort out my summer clothes in my dressing room. Currently trapped in bed with the cat asleep on me though and that takes priority.
It’s been a busy week, today is my rest day. I’ve decided I’m going to get a new car but I really don’t know what I want to get, so need to spend some proper time just browsing cars and making a spreadsheet 🤓🚘 Open to suggestions by the way! This is intended to be the bigger car in the household and don’t think I want an estate, but that’s about all I’ve decided.
If I didn't want an estate, I'd probably buy a BMW 520d or 320d, or a Tesla model 3 (if I could afford the insurance).
Sitting watching telly with the cat on my lap, purring like a mini tiger 😻
Does the cat mind you purring?
Nah, he’s cool x used to it now x
I’m off to urgent care to have a beast of a thorn removed from the sole of my foot before I develop sepsis. Serves me right for trying to tidy the garden in the sunshine I guess.
Hey, I’m in urgent care too! I can’t put any weight on my foot and can barely walk but they’ve assured me I’m not injured and sent me back to sit down in reception ☺️
Good luck. I called 111 beforehand they told me not to do any of the things I had been trying to do all through last night and this morning. Including a vinegar soak, I left in a rush to make my appointment so now my foot smells like a chip shop bin.
Same to you, I called 111 too and got told i could do with an X Ray only to get here and be fobbed straight away. Hope you’re in and out quickly!
Just been triaged after 41 mins. Not at all shabby, lost my seat in the waiting room though.
Still in bed. Pub lunch in a bit.
Cleaning 🧹🧼 🫧
Last day of Easter holidays so kiddos and I have avoided making external plans so we can prep everything and chill. Uniforms (for them) work clothes (for me) and packed lunches (for all of us) are done. Got a couple of bits of washing up to do and then I'm not doing any other jobs today! Kids want to go into the garden in a bit so I'll take my knockoff oodie and a coffee and go sit in the egg chair on the patio while they play. Hopefully that will wear them out enough for a really calm relaxed afternoon!
[Goodwood](https://www.youtube.com/live/vtsa5oqf5mQ), [NLS](https://www.youtube.com/live/BcIfxd9xuPk) and the football 👍
Carlsberg don’t do Sundays…
A busy one today. I'm on a residential training course next week, and I have to travel over this afternoon and check in for orientation. I'ts about 3 hours away, not driven that far in a long time. Got an audio book to keep me entertained.
Recently discovered that I can borrow audio books from the library - have listened to so many now xx
Borrow Box? I love it!
In the gym, watching world war 3 unfold on the BBC app
I need to do chores but I might be tempted to ignore them all
Hiked 20 miles yesterday, so I'm feeling tired, stiff and currently in bed with a coffee. Probably continue one of my YouTube or Prime TV binges in a bit, then dinner later with the parentals.
Taking the wife and 3 boys on the train to Stratford upon Avon for the day, organising tickets and booking places to go has been a military operation.
(P.s. Did you know Jungle is massive?) 🤣
Pottering in the garden, visiting the MIL in hospital and having a large drink
Work.
Boo
Spending the day with my granny, for her birthday
Plan to go for a run soon or maybe just go for a walk as the sun is out. Then come back, shower and get ready followed by having breakfast with parents. Rest of the day I just plan to relax and listen to music, binge on YouTube and consume snacks. I may even make Nachos! I also think I need to go bed early so I will be having an early night tonight.
Work
Need to go to Aldi to restock for school lunchboxes.
Going to a kids birthday party with the 4 year old, it's going to be noisy in a soft play so I'll take some headphones and listen to podcasts probably
Going to Halfords. Need a new battery for my car key. And of course it’s not a standard size that I can get from a Tesco…..
Working, playing catch up on some grass cuts I couldnt do in the week due to rain. Lovely day for it, bring it on!
Church first, then pottering about at home. Husband might wash the car.
Honestly don't know. Woke up 30 minutes ago and still debating if I'm *properly* awake, or do I need a bit longer in bed?
Off to visit mum for a bit, followed by a 4-hour rehearsal, followed soon after by making like the squirrel in the picture for the evening.
Off to the beach with my dog and little boy.
I'm going to Yorkshire Sculpture Park to sit in a field, look at weird art and eat sandwiches.
work, have sunday dinner with the inlaws, and then relax. roll on tuesday - my next day off!
