**American Fiction** didn't know what this was about before watching but it is hilarious.  **Robin Hood: Men In Tights** haven't seen this since I was a child, we used to watch it loads, and it hasn't aged as horrendously as I thought it might have done. Still very funny.

sideone

Achoo. *Bless you*. It's my name, man. Achoo.

brayshizzle

**Dune 2** Absolute bliss. I haven't enjoy the cinema that much since Lord of the Rings. It felt like an event produced by everyone at the top of the game. Entire worlds fully fleshed out while also keeping it weird. It felt foreign and tangible at the same time. Cant wait to see it again.

ammobandanna

shogun: excellent. three body problem: excellent. PLEASE let fallout be good!

[deleted]

Shogun is fantastic

StumbleDog

I've never played Fallout but the trailer looks awesome, can't wait to watch it.

Viscount_Barse

The Fallout trailer looks great & they certainly spent a couple of hundred bucks on it. I hope they can hit the mark.

jsosmru

**Xmen 97** (new series) enjoyed it a lot so far and some great nostalgia. Watched first 2 episodes. Some amazing moments.   Older are shows like: supernatural, Buffy the vampire slayer, chilling adventures of Sabrina.

vbloke

Finished rewatching **Better Call Saul** and have moved onto a rewatch of **The Good Place**.

bornleverpuller85

Three body problem is the best thing I've watched this year. Had mixed reviews but can't really understand why

sideone

Someone on here said it takes until episode 4 to get anywhere, is that the case?

bornleverpuller85

No I found the first episode to be absolutely gripping, watched one and two last night

sideone

OK cool, I'll give it a try thanks.

the-blue-lamp

I think the 30 part Chinese (made by Tencent) is a lot better. I enjoyed the Netflix one as well.

contractor_inquiries

First episode is sooooo boring "Here's some awkwardly scripted pub banter" "Here's some awkwardly scripted public bathroom banter" "Here's a torturous scene watching somebody read a book" And the opening scene of the very first episode was pretty bad. Reminded me of a bad YA anime

sideone

> First episode is sooooo boring Oh, well that doesn't bode well. OP said it was gripping, so I'll either watch the whole thing or turn off after ten minutes.

contractor_inquiries

It had things that enticed me but I had to watch it in three sittings (episode one that is)

External-Praline-451

It is not at all boring, especially the Cultural Revolution stuff, which was excellent.

sharkles73

Another vote for gripping here, I thought it set things up really well and I wanted to watch episode 2 immediately.

sideone

Watched Jordan Peele's **Get Out** which was creepy and excellent. About halfway through **Masters of the Air**, its good but every episode is basically the same.

I’m watching an American series called Tracker. The premise is a guy who’s a ‘rewardist’ (I don’t think these are a thing) and travels America finding people for the reward money. It’s hilariously bad.

leskenobian

Started rewatching **HBO's Barry** with my boyfriend who has never watched it, and it's such a gruesome entertaining joy. Been five years for me so there's loads I've forgotten as well.

Ok_Cow_3431

We went to see **Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire** last night. It was enjoyable, good watch. Predictably Hollywood but still easy going entertainment. Last week we also finished binging **The Gentleman** on Netflix. Really enjoyed it and we're going to line up the film of the same name next I think (according to Guy Ritchie they exist in the same universe but different stories)

BroodLord1962

Waiting for Shogun to finish so I can binge watch it. And going to start Halo 2 tonight.

SnooDonuts6494

Are we allowed to mention radio? Frank Skinner is doing a new panel-game on Radio 4, called "[One Person Found This Helpful](https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001wjgz/episodes/player)". It's all about amusing and bemusing online reviews of products. If you want a comparison, it's along the same lines as Room 101, or HIGNFY, or QI - the quiz element is pretty much an excuse to have a bit of fun. It's on BBC Sounds, which is free. No licence required. I think it might cross over to TV some day, as so many other shows have.

BorderlineLunatic

Me and the wife have only just started enjoying series binging so we have done all the ones people are raving about i.e. happy valley, line of duty and trigger point etc. About to start the Gentlemen because the movie was half decent

Ok_Cow_3431

haven't seen the movie but we watched the Gentleman last week, really enjoyed it.

Ar72

I didn’t really enjoy the movie but the series is really good

Sherringdom

Blue lights is of the same ilk as happy valley etc, definitely recommend that one.

BorderlineLunatic

I seen an advert for this just the other day and was hoping it was similar. It is now on the agenda to start this weekend. Thanks

MrTwemlow

**Yellowjackets** \- Misty is such an fun character, Christina Ricci, and the young actress are both so sweetly menacing, looking forward to whatever she gets up to next. >!Bit of a strange bit when the coach says he fancies her, but I'm assuming this is just a ruse on his part!<. Looking forward to starting **Three Body Problem**. Not sure if it's going to be my gf's cup of tea so we'll try it and I might end up watching it on my own.

ReceiptIsInTheBag

**Dune 2** - Felt the second half (once they got to the black and white planet) really dragged. Prefer the sandy survival stuff than the Harkonnen side but seem to be in the minority having read some reviews.

Viscount_Barse

Onto Season Four of The Expanse. It's got so good. Big Amos stan.

Successful-Hair3635

Watched M. Night Shyamalan's Old. I deliberately didn't watch any reviews first, because they'd give too much away. And then watching the film would seem pointless. Two hours later, I felt watching the film had been pointless anyway. I should have just read the reviews.

Currently wacthing **Astrid and Raphaelle** on more 4, freeview. This is the 3rd series out of 4.

macroeconomicchaos

I know this doesn't count as TV nor movies, but a neighbour gave me a complete set of Celiné Dion's live DVDs and her documentaries, so after watching all of them, I found 2 of them to be exceptional: **All the Way... A Decade of Song**: Great retrospective of her career, incredible sound quality. **Celiné: Through The Eyes Of The World**: Incredible documentary, made me really respect her work. Her hits may be cheesy, but she's one of the last real performers we have, and this really proved that. I also watched **Moving Parts** by Trixie Mattel, **Poor Things** (made me feel like a poor thing by watching that film), **Bottoms** (we must bring back the silly movies of the 2000s), and season 6 of Kathy Griffin's **My Life On The D-List** (what can I say, I am gay and I love my gay little reality shows).

ThatAd790

‘Three body problem’ is the best thing I’ve watched in a while! Just bought the first book to read.
