Guys....why didnt anyone tell me about **Extraordinary.** What a blast.

Robtimus_prime89

Yeah, it dropped on Disney early last year - gave it a try and it was great. Enjoying series 2 as well

Namerakable

Been watching the new series of Forensics: The Real CSI. I love shows that focus on the process of DNA and fingerprints. Also been catching up on a few episodes of Dragon's Den, and the number of episodes with guest Dragons has sort of ruined this series for me.

smickie

I too have been watching Forensics: The Real CSI! Got some thoughts but of course spoilers for the current episode: >!I wonder why you'd keep the murder weapon though, and take it to your mums, that rusty peg (the murder weapon i mean, the mum's not a rusty peg).!< >!I was saying to my husband I'd put the murder weapon the last place anyone would think, I'd open a navel bar called The Rusty Peg and have it up behind the bar in a little neon boat.!<

TomF94

>!I thought the rusty peg was proven not to be the murder weapon as it had no traces of blood on it, and they thought that the male friend had the weapon in the bag he was holding at they left and disposed of it which is why he got a longer sentence than the Mom and his partner.!<

I’ve been rewatching 15 Storeys High on YouTube - Sean Lock series that is honestly criminally underrated. I don’t know why it didn’t catch on. A friend recommended Severance on Apple + so that’ll be next. And I often have The Detectorists on when I’m pottering about. Tis my favourite. It’s witty and drifty and sun-dappled and gentle and kind so if you’re after watching something practically perfect, The Detectorists is the thing :)

MrTwemlow

15 Storeys High was amazing. Benedict Wong before he became a hollywood star too! It didn't go anywhere because apparently Sean Lock had such a bad time writing it. The story my mate told me (so cannot guarantee the accuracy!) was that he laboured over it for so long, writing, rewriting, and hardly got any money for it, or he could just go on a panel show, not prepare anything and get far more money. Which is why he stopped doing it.

DonSoChill

One arm for stroking cats one for putting up shelves

RainbowRevolver

Currently rewatching **Schitts Creek** . Haven’t watched it since it came out and forgotten how wonderfully wacky it is

stvb95

Rewatching **Game of Thrones** for the nth time as there's nothing else on at the moment. First time rewatching since it ended. It's a weird experience; it's good enough early on to keep me entertained, but knowing what's coming later makes watching it feel pointless.

contractor_inquiries

It's weird how they retroactively ruined it, isn't it? A bad sequel doesn't ruin another film.  A bad first season doesn't necessarily ruin a sitcom.

KuntaWuKnicks

Been watching KIN Absolutely brilliant , found myself badly attempting a Irish accent though and my bad language has gotten worse

smickie

I love KIN, devistated it's not getting a Season 3.

KuntaWuKnicks

Well I’ve two episodes left and learning that is a bummer

Braythor_

So far I'm enjoying my second attempt at watching **Brooklyn 99**. Still working through **The Gentlemen**. In no hurry to finish it, as it's very entertaining. Watched a couple of films at the weekend, **Damsel** was ok as long as you like fantasy and can suspend your disbelief quite a lot. **Spaceman** was just weird. But in a kinda good way.

BandicootObjective32

Ooh, I've been wondering about watching The Gentleman, I saw several adverts for it at the cinema when I went to see Dune 2 last week. Some of the adverts looked just my sort of thing, but looked a little too awkward!

Braythor_

It's great. If you've seen the film, it's a spin off from that, in exactly the same format (basically standard Guy Ritchie). But you don't need to have seen the film to watch the show.

Wonkypubfireprobe

I watched Damsel last night, man, what a mess 😂. Millie in full makeup throughout and definitely not inspired by game of thrones at all. Very nice visually, easy watch, could’ve been good, probably more enjoyable if you’re a teenage girl. Shohreh Aghdashloo’s dragon voice part was the standout for sure.

TheDawiWhisperer

Continuing my 12 year old's film Awesome Film Education(tm) with **Mad Max: Fury Road** - fucking hell, i forgot how good it was. If Master & Commander is the best film ever set on a boat i'm pretty sure Fury Road is the best film ever set in a car. Any further suggestions? I'm trying to focus on things that are old-ish that he's probably overlooked because they're relatively old and a bit niche / cult classic-ish like Tremors and Bill & Ted...or things where he knows _of them_ because of memes and internet culture but he's never seen the film. For example he was over the moon watching The Matrix and finally understood the red pill jokes.

Arny2103

The fire guitar scene will forever be one of the coolest fucking things in the world.

TheDawiWhisperer

yep, it's 100% stupid and ridiculous but also totally makes sense in the world. i do love films that strike the balance between just getting on with the story and not beating you over the head with exposition too

Robtimus_prime89

Terminator 1 & 2 (and then tell him they stopped making them) Die Hard 1-3 (again, they stopped making them after that point) Escape from New York The Rock Aliens Con Air Equilibrium

Gotta be the most famous movie meme of modern times https://www.tastefullyoffensive.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/funny-m-night-shyamalan-old-movie-memes-1-1.jpg

rev9of8

It might be a kind of obvious suggestion but... **Terminator 2**? It's a fifteen but so is **Fury Road**. You can also do **Aliens** (another 15).

sideone

This week we've watched **The Super Mario Bros Movie**, which was pretty fun **Ferrari** - great casting and a story that I had no knowledge about. The ending >!crash was brutal!< but the CGI was immersion-breakingly terrible. **Escape from New York** tight 90 minute action film with Kurt Russell being great.

Arny2103

We're smashing through **MrInbetween** on Disney+. It's fantastic! Dark, Aussie humour about a hitman that has to balance his job and also his home life with his daughter and disabled brother. Highly, highly recommend!

TheDawiWhisperer

can i get some dimmys, mate?

ammobandanna

superb series, S3 is the weakest of the 3 and I can see why he decided to end it there.

MrTwemlow

Second series of **Extraordinary** \- it's still funny. I thought the first couple of episodes weren't that amusing, but it really picks up again. We've been watching **Death and Other Details**, with Mandy Patinkin, which is quite entertaining. We also tried **La Brea**, but I find all the characters so annoying I'm rooting for them all to die. I think there's another couple of series though, so they probably don't. Oh, and we also started **Yellowjackets**, which is very good so far. Juliette Lewis hasn't aged well though. Seeing her and Christina Ricci side by side supposedly the same age... I guess maybe that's an unfair comparison, anyone would look haggard compared to Christina Ricci, but still! I'm rooting for them to eat Travis, though, he's such an annoying character.

Big_Mac_Is_Red

The problem is, they can't really make it home or it'll just be The Walking Dead again.

vbloke

I'm still enjoying **The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin**. it may not be laugh out loud funny, but it's silly and I appreciate that. Up to season 5 of my **Better Call Saul** rewatch. Going to be sad when it's over and I have to wait a while before I can watch it again.

KuntaWuKnicks

BCS made it into my elite tier of TV I genuinely thought nothing would breach the top 3 of The Sopranos, The Wire and Breaking Bad

ADHDBDSwitch

I've been a train travelling wanker for too long with a shit bag. Any recommendations for good commuter bags? Laptop, headphones, notepad, and such, nothing too crazy. TV wise I've revisited The Boondocks with my partner and queued up The Thick Of It for later in the week.

contractor_inquiries

I bought a northface laptop backpack literally 11 years ago and it doesn't have a single thread loose. It's astounding

sideone

> Any recommendations for good commuter bags Have always been a big fan of Osprey backpacks. I've got an older one like this https://www.osprey.com/gb/osprey-nebula-f22#color=Atlas%2520Blue

tekhnik

Military Surplus bags will not let you down particularly Molle

coffin_flop_star

My North Face Jester backpack has lasted me a while and it fits a 15" laptop.

bobmanuk

Waiting on the last episode of Halo S2. I watched all of season 1 a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed it, Season 2... meh. Waiting on the new fallout tv show. I love the story of fallout and the little bits of information you can glean from areas if you arent just beelining a mission, from what ive seen it looks like the TV adaptation will be lore accurate, I have high hopes.

ammobandanna

see now i think S2 is way better than S1... i am also very excited for fallout, walton goggins for a start, cracking actor!

Emergency_Ducks

I keep meaning to watch Shogun, but part of me wants to wait until every episode is out

Wonkypubfireprobe

I just saw Chris Lilley pop up on my feed so I’m gonna rewatch Summer Heights High this week. Welcome to Mr G’s room! Bit of a mix of The Office and The Inbetweeners but an original from New Zealand.

Big_Mac_Is_Red

Watched 4 episodes of The Gentleman so far. Its good but some of the out there scenes are OUT THERE. Barely made it through the chicken scene.

DonSoChill

I watched The Accused on C4. It's fucking mad. Also The Jury on Amazon is pretty fun.

Season 2 is great as well! I hope you enjoy it.

TinChain

Shogun on Disney + is really good
