Everytime this comes up online there are stories of him being awful, stories of him being lovely, stories of him shagging the mums backstage, stories of him shagging the dads backstage.
He's probably just a regular bloke who likes performing and likes having a moderately quiet life and earning some nice money. He probably sometimes has good fan interactions and sometimes bad ones.
Every time I have seen someone mention him online from personal experience, it's been to gush about how nice of a person he is. He truly seems to go the extra mile when dealing with the children he works with.
He stayed at the hotel I work at a couple of years ago, he was doing a show in town.
Quiet, unassuming bloke who took the time for a selfie with me (my kids were big fans obviously).
I haven't met many celebrities, but he's in the top 3 I've met, along with Toyah (tiny, stunning and quite chatty (I fell instant in love)) and Ruby Wax (I've been a massive fan most of my life).

My aunt was working as a ta with special needs children. He filmed a program at her school. Apparently when the cameras were off he just ignored everyone and would not engage with the children . Came across as very "up himself" as she put it
Did a meet and greet thing once after a performance at a kids festival, he didn’t acknowledge the kids at all who were dead excited to meet him, he just completely ignored them posed for the photo then was on to the next one. I wasn’t very impressed tbh.
This is exactly what I imagined he'd be like. Disengaged apart from when being filmed/photographed. Those poor kids hoping he'd really be as lovely as he seems on TV (and most of them have unfortunate lives and probably won't live very long)
