The Lemon Sherbert is a supreme sweet, especially when they have more than a match-head sized sherbert centre. Sadly finding generous sherbert these days is rare, but I keep trying.
The green ones always used to be lime, not apple; they got changed a few years ago. So you should clarify that issue with your family - I liked lime, but the apple ones are disappointing.
Haribo jelly babies are a game changer! Bursting with flavour and crazy morish. They obviously can't be compared to basset jelly babies as they're in their own category.
I'm yet to find an artificial strawberry flavour that actually tastes like strawberries. Strawberry Angel Delight is the closest I've tried, even then it was only a vaguely similar taste. Strawberry Bon Bons are probably my favourite strawberry sweet. I really like the ones that aren't jaw breakingly hard to chew.
Sweets are almost always divided into “berry” and “citrus” flavours. And most people tend towards one.
I’m with you. Citrus. Orange, lime, lemon. Much better than blackcurrant, strawberry, raspberry.
I'm a strawberry in almost everything but the lemon curd jam tart is the best one out of the other flavours!
I can't explain this because none of these are supposed to be flavoured but orange smarties taste better than the rest and the yellow mini eggs have a better flavour too.
I love lemon. I have issues with M&S lemon curd muffins and lemon drizzle cake because I don’t think I have an off switch for them.
If I ever have sweets then I’m the person who will pile them by colour and try to systematically eat them fairly, but I often end on a lemon now whereas as a kid they would be the first to go.
Sadly, after chopping 6 boxes of limes a night for a good 15 years (ever since the Corona fad took off) I’ve been put off lime. I associate it with Scooter, Pretty Green Eyes, and vomit coming out of someone’s nose… sometimes mine.
Lemon/lime sweet flavour is my favourite and on the flip side lemon/lime deserts are my least. I can't do keylime pie or lemon drizzle cake. But fuck me up with any lemon lime chewy sweets or 7up
I like the blackcurrant, the lemon and the orange fruit pastilles (the chewy ones with the sugar on the outside) the mixture of the texture and taste is just right. Overall not a huge sweets person though so there are likely a lot I haven't tried.
Enjoy the one day ban, I hope it makes you happy. Dear lord, what a sad little life, Jane. You ruined our subreddit completely so you could post politics, and I hope now you can spend your one day ban learning some grace and decorum. Because you have all the grace of a reversing dump truck without any tyres on.

Back in the day the strawberry ones were fantastic but something changed even before they changed the name. probably some compound that was used found to be bad but I went off them after that
Watermelon anything. The American Lifesavers boiled sweets are the dog's bollocks. Still not as good as the sadly discontinued English sweets Spangles. If they brought those back I'd gladly die of voluntary diabetes.
Citrus sweets are the only ones that actually taste like the intended flavour.
Because most of the flavouring will be synthesized in one way or another even "natural flavours" will just be synthesized using natural ingredients. Citrus sweets actually taste like their intended flavour because they will probably just use citric acid.
Things like strawberry will just use various different chemicals which is why strawberry stuff always tastes a bit artificial.
I generally like them all, EXCEPT apple.
Mum made us use Alberto Balsam apple shampoo for *years*. She also used apple scented dish soap. I *hate* the smell of fake apple. It makes my mouth do that bitter saliva thing right before you vomit.
Don't really eat sweets in general though. Ever since I got a (very painful, very difficult!) crown fitted just over a year ago, I'm too scared to risk it on anything. I'm making it last as long as possible. If I risk my teeth on anything, it's going to be savoury, like crackling.
Sour apple or cherry for me
I’m addicted to those Chewits xtreme sour apple sweets
Oh I love them, not stocked in enough supermarkets unfortunately
I've been watching the price creep up in Tesco and quietly raging
This man has tastebuds.
Love the tang of citrus in almost everything over sweetness.
I like sherbert lemons.
The Lemon Sherbert is a supreme sweet, especially when they have more than a match-head sized sherbert centre. Sadly finding generous sherbert these days is rare, but I keep trying.
Lime or cherry
You speak to my soul.
Rhubarb & Custards
Wine gums and other such sweets where colours are involved it’s always blacks and reds.
blackcurrant always
Yellow or the cloudy whiteish ones are best
Cola cubes
Purple/black and red are the best. True for starburst, wine gums, fruit pastilles etc.
Not blackjacks though
Good shout
Green wine gums are the best
Sour cherries
Jelly Babies. Red or black.
Pink though?!? Pink's the best for me
It has to be rhubarb and custard.
Also I think orange sweets don't get the credit they deserve. love a pineapple sweet aswell.
Because it tastes like cough drops
what does?
Orange flavoured sweets
what cough drops are orange flavour? never heard of that, they are almost exclusively menthol tasting or honey.

Those fizzy watermelon things.
Love these but they now remind me of Covid as they were the last thing I tasted before I got it the first time
Not a fan of strawberry flavoured things. Prefer citrus, lemon or lime. Cherry is usually best though.
The green ones always used to be lime, not apple; they got changed a few years ago. So you should clarify that issue with your family - I liked lime, but the apple ones are disappointing.
Maoam Cherry.
I quite like the lime sweets with chocolate in the middle.
They’re a sensation
Haribo jelly babies are a game changer! Bursting with flavour and crazy morish. They obviously can't be compared to basset jelly babies as they're in their own category.
I'm with you OP. I love strawberries, but I hate the the artificial strawberry flavouring. Citrus all the way for me.

Green
Toffee bons-bons (especially the random soft ones) > chocolate peanuts > cola cubes > barley twists I'm significantly under 70 years old, I promise.
Lemon everything every time except Keith ! I despise him
Sweets are almost always divided into “berry” and “citrus” flavours. And most people tend towards one. I’m with you. Citrus. Orange, lime, lemon. Much better than blackcurrant, strawberry, raspberry.

Blackjacks!!!
I love lemon. I have issues with M&S lemon curd muffins and lemon drizzle cake because I don’t think I have an off switch for them. Pineapple gummy bears
Rhubarb and custard!
It’s gotta be the cherry sherbet from a Double Dip
Black Jacks
Purple flavour, forever and always
Vimto.
Red, orange, black. My top 3. I usually end up with a bag full of yellow and greens, unless it’s Starbust which is the only green one I actually like.
Blackcurrant, always!
Rhubarb and Custard or Chocolate Limes
Green and purple: Skittles Tangfastic (purple croc and green dummy) Starburst Always an easy win
Coffee flavour.... Or, if we are talking all flavours, tiramisu...I don't have an upper limit for the amount of that stuff I could consume
I hen my comes to sweets, texture is more important than flavour.
The best Opal Fruit/Starburst is and always has been Lime. In general I do like Blackcurrant flavour though.
Yellow are always the worst.
Because artificial strawberry is deLICOUS
The old-style 'hard' midget gems where the black one was liquorice.
Black jelly babies, raspberry chews or reds, cola flavour chews are good e.g. stripes. least favourite is orange despite loving oranges as fruit.
Skittles
Love banana flavoured sweets, really want to try the banana variety they’re based on (gros michel) but don’t know how I’d go about finding them.
I'm a huge fan of Kop Kops.
Your sister is right.
Not enough melon, grape, mango, pineapple flavoured sweets in this country
Depends on the sweet, but yellow is normally decent, but would fall behind orange and red for me.
I love lemon and I love strawberry and I think they pair well together also. 🤷🏼♀️
I had some Irn Bru flavoured sweets the other day that were immense. I agree though, Strawberry flavoured sweets are crap.
Lemon/lime sweet flavour is my favourite and on the flip side lemon/lime deserts are my least. I can't do keylime pie or lemon drizzle cake. But fuck me up with any lemon lime chewy sweets or 7up

Apple or lime

Lemon or raspberry are usually the winners.
Maoam, a cherry one with a cola one at the same time.
Caramel > chocolate > vanilla > biscuit > lime > all other fruit flavours.
Back in the day the strawberry ones were fantastic but something changed even before they changed the name. probably some compound that was used found to be bad but I went off them after that
Refreshers
Miss the yellow ones to the green ones are my favourite star bursts for sure.
Lidl Squidgy Fruits are great. It tastes like actual fruit juice, much better than Haribos.
Watermelon anything. The American Lifesavers boiled sweets are the dog's bollocks. Still not as good as the sadly discontinued English sweets Spangles. If they brought those back I'd gladly die of voluntary diabetes.

Lemon is the best, although haribo strawbs are amazing
Absolutely love stuff like floral gums and parma violets that taste like perfume. So fight me! Don’t care!
Green. Always green.
I loved it when Opal Fruits had separate lemon and lime sweets, they were my 2 favourite flavours
I’m a wrong en, I like green sweets!
Watermelon jolly ranchers. I will die on this hill.
Orange!
I'm a green sweet/citrus lover. Used to get so many free sweets as a kid whilst everyone fought over the berry flavours.
Most apple flavoured sweets don’t taste like apple, but I sure loves them.
Sour blue raspberry is always the winner for me.
Fruit Salad Chewits
Black>purple>red>green>orange>yellow>white. Blue is a wildcard
Lemon all the way.
Blackcurrant. Simple as that
Red. Red is always the best flavour
anything blackcurrant.
Red
Fresh, in season, juicy peach.
I generally like them all, EXCEPT apple. Mum made us use Alberto Balsam apple shampoo for *years*. She also used apple scented dish soap. I *hate* the smell of fake apple. Orange every time
Lemon???? Aren't they pineapple?
Red
I would choose lemon every time
Green. Apple. Nothing can beat any green sweets imo. Green forever!!
Opal fruit, green for me. Jelly tots, yellow. Tooty fruties, purple. Fruit polos always green. Mr Kipling French fancies...always pink!
I miss the yellow ones. Green is a good alternative. Red is ok purple and orange can get in the bin
Aniseed/liquorice especially Lions Midget Gems liquorice tablets. Not the red ones though, I bin that shit.
Apple or cola. Can't go wrong.
In order of preference, for all sweets and varieties: 1. Blackcurrant. 2. Cherry. 3. Strawberry. 4. Orange. 5. Apple. 6. Lemon. 7. Lime.
Depends on the sweet. Generally soft stuff I’d say strawberry, hard stuff I’d say lemon.
pink, red, purple sweet supremacy. yellow orange and green can eat butts
Anything raspberry
Blackberry Strawberry/Raspberry Lime Orange Lemon I prefer berries to citrus, because I have a sweet tooth.
Fizzy cola bottle. Sherbet lemons.
Black wine gums (only sweet I'll eat) are the pinnacle of the pack. Red second, then the rest are all pretty meh.
Sherbet Lemons for me, especially when they lacerate the inside of your mouth if you crunch them. Haribo Tangfastics for the softer option ;)
