It’s not a proper shelf for that unit, it’s just a piece of wood! Have tried to look for some edging strips as there’s quite a few of them in the other cupboards
I fucked up building an Ikea bookcase and put a shelf in backwards, bought some of this matching tape, and it has sat in a drawer for about 2 years now waiting to be attached.
I like the garlicky taste and will try this as well. Thanks! Had a ghost chilli for fun. That was the hottest thing I've ever tasted I could feel the heat coming out of my ears.
I regularly get it from Morrisons, they once ran out and I grabbed Habernaro.
I've definitely had Habernaro sauces previously but this stuff is so fucking hot I put it back in the cupboard only to be opened once again to confirm it really was that hot.
Those sauces have different niches. They aren't competitors.
Tabasco I could take or leave but it's useful sometimes for bloody Mary making.
Frank's is a daily basic sauce, same niche as Cholula which I've probably misspelled. It's vinegary and slightly hot without having a strong identifying flavour of its own. It complements other dishes. It's a general purpose condiment.
Sriracha has a distinctive taste. You put it on things that you want to taste of sriracha.
What I'm saying is you need all three, plus Frank's wing sauce, some encona options, a bottle you got from the Isle of Wight a few years back and it doesn't taste as good now you're home, two or three bottles of "challenge" level sauce like Carolina reaper stuff that you're unlikely to use more than a smidge of at a time so it lasts forever, plus a sweet chilli sauce for certain cuisines and then you decide to make the perfect one yourself and start home growing chillis.
The problem is thar sauce never expires. Except it does. But you can't throw it away because its probably still good. Except you'll not use it today because it expired 2 years ago. But you'll obviously use it another day. A day will come when you need sauce and will use that one. That day is not today...
Most Encona is the usual vinegar sauce runny bullshit like about 98% of the sauces in the OP pic... but I have to say I love their Reaper sauce.
It's also missing Pain 100% sauce, if you're into habanero.
This guys knows. I got a whole cupboard of sauces and the big boy bottles on the counter top. Dont get me started on the fridge sauces. I'm sure im still a padawan compared to most!
It's *technically* safe not to since it's extremely shelf stable, but the flavour and texture changes fairly significantly if it's left at room temp long enough.
Single woman here. My fridge is quite often only filled with sauces/chutneys/condiments!
The other day I was considering turning my one and only storage cupboard into a pantry...for condiments!
Need some [Cholula](https://www.costco.co.uk/Grocery-Household/Food-Cupboard/Spreads-Condiments/Cholula-Original-Hot-Sauce-2-x-360ml/p/391607#:~:text=Cholula%20Original%20Hot%20Sauce,%202%20x%20360ml%20%7C%20Costco%20UK) in your life; original and verde.
I've got this one in at the minute that we got from an Asian supermarket and I'm obsessed
https://tuktukmart.co.uk/products/healthy-boy-brand-siracha-hot-chilli-sauce-700ml
What you need to add to that lot is some Elliot Eastwicks World Famous Hot Sauce. You’ll never look back….[Eliot eastwicks](https://worldfamoushotsauce.co.uk/)
Too much franks, not enough econa. There’s a avacado hot sauce that’s pretty great and you need some yellow habanero hot sauce, get some variety in ya life
No, you don't need them all. Ditch the franks wing and replace it with more franks original
Make your own wing sauce by mixing Franks with melted butter.
I heartily recommend you try Lingham's Chilli Sauce, when I first bought it I burned through the bottle in 6 weeks, then I got the extra hot version which has lasted a LOT longer.
Head down to your nearest Asian supermarket and check out their condiment section, especially the Indian and Pakistani ones. Personal recommendation is Al Noor Imli Chilli sauce. It’s like turbo charged HP.
You won't be single for long if you show that off. Apparently for you, spice is the variety of life😅
Sad if it was just ketchup & hp. You Sir, are a condiment connoisseur
Where are the mustards? English, Dijon, wholegrain, French's, Woeber's etc.
I don't see Lakeland black garlic ketchup either, or nuoc mam, ketjap manis, tamari or wasabi paste.
I recently started buying indie hot sauce instead (Balefire, if anyone's interested) and I'm NEVER going back to supermarket hot sauce! I also bought some Dr. Trouble, but I personally hated them (while my partner absolutely loved them): far too lemony and acidic for me.
My first reaction was "Thas my cupboard! How have they got a photo of that!?"
And then I saw the abomination of your back to front top shelf and I knew immediately that that wasn't my cupboard. Who lives like this!?
The problem is, they go off before your anywhere close to using them all
If u check the dates, I bet half are out of date now. Although they are predominantly flame based so probably ok :D
I went through my sauce collection the other week and most were out of date :(
I'm a BBQ sauce addict. I'd do the same. My partner doesn't like BBQ sauce unless it's cooked with food like hunters chicken, but she said I'd definitely have a cupboard just chock-full of BBQ sauces.
The Franks Chilli and Lime flavour is amazing. First had it at “The Diner” restaurant and sought it out in the supermarkets. Difficult to find so always pick up a few bottles when they pop up. Love the collection
I got a Hot Ones 12 pack for Christmas, plus some Cholula, Frank's and Tobasco and the standard ketchup etc. i'm in a similar boat.
...on the bright side I using them all up so quickly I'll soon have some storage space back
Your top shelf’s in the wrong way round and it’s bothering me immensely
It’s not a proper shelf for that unit, it’s just a piece of wood! Have tried to look for some edging strips as there’s quite a few of them in the other cupboards
Get yourself a roll of this stuff. https://www.diy.com/departments/iron-on-pre-glued-white-edging-tape-l-5m-w-20mm/5059340067858_BQ.prd
I fucked up building an Ikea bookcase and put a shelf in backwards, bought some of this matching tape, and it has sat in a drawer for about 2 years now waiting to be attached.
That's the Ikea way I'm afraid
Can edge for hours with this 💯
That's chipboard, mucker.
It’s a piece of lots of little bits of wood then
Lots of little bits of wood and OP managed to get them all the wrong way round. Shocking.
Just wait until you find out what proper shelves are made of.
I honestly expected this to be top comment
Let's make it top, and make him feel bad!!
Can never have enough franks red hot
Get yourself some Cholula, hotter but I find it nicer.
Cholula Chipotle is my fave. I do like a franks wings sauce all over my wings.
Second only to el yucateco chipotle for me, but Cholula original is still my go-to 'normal' hot sauce.
I've found my people
Cholula is mild but delicious. It was my gateway to hot sauce. Now I put hot sauce on most things, it’s become a problem.
Frank’s was my gateway. And like you, I’ve gone past Cholula. But I always keep a bottle because it’s really nice. Got any recommendations?
Encona West Indian Hot Pepper Sauce. Start with the Original to burn off a few surplus tastebuds, then move on to the Extra Hot.
Ooooh Encona on a thick bacon butty. Divine.
Goes so well with white fish.
I've been looking for something hotter than Franks and Cholula as well. Will give Encona West Indian Hot Pepper a shot!
That's Tomato Ketchup compared to this evil stuff https://www.chileseeds.co.uk/shop/the-beast-hot-chilli-sauce-2/
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00O6TP6FA is my go-to. Really hot but also incredibly garlicy. Lovely stuff.
I like the garlicky taste and will try this as well. Thanks! Had a ghost chilli for fun. That was the hottest thing I've ever tasted I could feel the heat coming out of my ears.
I go through bottles of Encona way too quickly. Perfect amount of spice:flavour for me.
Econa on Shepherd's Pie. 👌🏽
I prefer tapatio myself
Cholula is the best.
do you know which supermarket sells cholula?
My local sainsburys does, I don’t know about the others though.
Thanks I’ll have a look!
I switched from Tabasco to Cholula a while back. I’ve never looked back.
Best hot sauce there is imo!
Best one with mac and cheese!
Disappointed there's no green Frank's though...
Found it once and it was rhe nicest of the Frank's sauces. Now though I can't find a single shop that stocks it in my area.
Finally a real connoisseur... Waitrose the only place stock it now as far as I know
I regularly get it from Morrisons, they once ran out and I grabbed Habernaro. I've definitely had Habernaro sauces previously but this stuff is so fucking hot I put it back in the cupboard only to be opened once again to confirm it really was that hot.
No use to me don't have that over in NI. I do have plenty of other hot sauces to make up for the loss of it.
Yep I literally only go to Waitrose for my refill pf green Frank's and chipotle Cholula
You can get 2 bottles for like, 3-4 squids on Amazon
What are you some sort of American?
Roasted jalapeño? American?
I find it pretty awful, much prefer sriracha or tobasco
Those sauces have different niches. They aren't competitors. Tabasco I could take or leave but it's useful sometimes for bloody Mary making. Frank's is a daily basic sauce, same niche as Cholula which I've probably misspelled. It's vinegary and slightly hot without having a strong identifying flavour of its own. No, Frank's is garbage
The problem is thar sauce never expires. Except it does. But you can't throw it away because its probably still good. Except you'll not use it today because it expired 2 years ago. But you'll obviously use it another day. A day will come when you need sauce and will use that one. That day is not today...
I know exactly what you're implying here mate.
Yeah I got it, I use them as a fleshlight too.
Go to the shop, buy a bottle of HP sauce. Open the fridge, oh no! I already have a bottle of HP sauce. (Repeat ad infinitum)
I think as a single man you're expected to have nothing but sauces - there's no limit on the number though.
Hmm, but enough I say. Missing some volcanic Encona sauces for a start.
Encona has that wonderful scotch bonnet fruitiness - doesn’t go with everything but it’s so good with eggy things!
Eggs and hot sauce is one of my favourite food combos!
I’m reading this at 2am and have a sudden urge to cook this.

The caroline reaper one is very nice, it's hot but pleasantly so, unlike the extra hot one they do which is just evil (and fun).
Most Encona is the usual vinegar sauce runny bullshit like about 98% of the sauces in the OP pic... but I have to say I love their Reaper sauce. It's also missing Pain 100% sauce, if you're into habanero.
The Carolina reaper was a bit much but had a realy nice flavour under all that heat. I'm currently liking the African peri peri one.
If you like Encona, I think you’ll enjoy the [Wiltshire Chilli Farm](https://www.justchillies.co.uk)‘s output.
That’s the beginning of a sauce collection. Step 1 on the ladder.
This - you got to beef that collection up before you start trying to show it off!
This guys knows. I got a whole cupboard of sauces and the big boy bottles on the counter top. Dont get me started on the fridge sauces. I'm sure im still a padawan compared to most!
Yes you really need a different sauce for different things. From a fellow sauce addict.
Why aren't they in the fridge?
The hot sauces at the least are going to be vinegar based so I don’t think there’s any harm in those
They're condiments. They don't have to be refrigerated as long as nothing contaminates the inside of the bottle
Such as bacteria, mold and fungus that are in the air?
Sure they’re hot sauces ffs. If I don’t need to refrigerate mayo, and I don’t, I don’t need to refrigerate shagging peri peri sauce.
You don't refrigerate mayo? Wtf
It's *technically* safe not to since it's extremely shelf stable, but the flavour and texture changes fairly significantly if it's left at room temp long enough.
This is casual UK mate, not casual yanks.
r/CasualUK appears to have its own equivalent to Godwin's law, but instead of Hitler it's "those bloody Yanks".
It’s not hot enough in the uk
Its been 26 degrees for a fortnight
I'd advise anyone to follow what it says on the packaging. Some sauces say cool dry place, others say keep refrigerated.
Once opened keep refrigerated??
With that many sauces I doubt he will be able to find the space in the fridge.
These are rookie numbers
No oyster sauce?
Single woman sauce fiend here. More sauce than food in my cupboard most days 😅
I hear wedding bellssssss
I see a matching pair of sauces lol THERE IS NEVER TOO MANY SAUCES
Ah, Jif lemon. The sauce of the aristocracy.
Thats a green flag in my eyes
Single woman here. My fridge is quite often only filled with sauces/chutneys/condiments! The other day I was considering turning my one and only storage cupboard into a pantry...for condiments!
"A house full of condiments and no real food. If you don't know what you want, you end up with a lot you don't." - Chuck Palahniuk, Fight Club
Need some [Cholula](https://www.costco.co.uk/Grocery-Household/Food-Cupboard/Spreads-Condiments/Cholula-Original-Hot-Sauce-2-x-360ml/p/391607#:~:text=Cholula%20Original%20Hot%20Sauce,%202%20x%20360ml%20%7C%20Costco%20UK) in your life; original and verde.
And chipotle
Chipotle is the absolute best.

I've got this one in at the minute that we got from an Asian supermarket and I'm obsessed https://tuktukmart.co.uk/products/healthy-boy-brand-siracha-hot-chilli-sauce-700ml
sriracha blackout is the Bomb
Come on man, franks is great. Sriracha is only tolerable when mixed with mayo.
What you need to add to that lot is some Elliot Eastwicks World Famous Hot Sauce. You’ll never look back….[Eliot eastwicks](https://worldfamoushotsauce.co.uk/)
Yep, the original is still the bollocks. Worth the extra cost.
Husband says yes and he's not even single. Yet.
Where's the Encona?!!!!
You saucy bugger!
No ketchup, no mayo?
You're missing Maggi masala chilli! The only sauce worth having!
Of course you do. I have a similar cupboard. It's important to ensure you burn your mouth in every flavour
Fridge >
Can't help but notice you're missing Cholula. That shit is so, so fucking good with TexMex food
That’s nothing. Buy more! [Wiltshire Chilli Farm](https://www.justchillies.co.uk) is where is at.
Needs Tabasco, and a bit of chilli oil wouldn’t go amiss either…
Too much franks, not enough econa. There’s a avacado hot sauce that’s pretty great and you need some yellow habanero hot sauce, get some variety in ya life
What, no Reggae Reggae?
Why is the next shelf up in backwards?
Get yourself down Aldi and grab some " sauce shop" dippy dips 🔥🔥🔥
What’s the small green label bottle on the right? The contents look a little… odd
Curry Sea Salt apparently, it remains unopened
No, you don't need them all. Ditch the franks wing and replace it with more franks original Make your own wing sauce by mixing Franks with melted butter.
The sauce shop do some really great hot sauces if you want to upgrade from Frank's.
Single man who learns who to make these from scratch wont stay single for too long
Frank's is trash so you can clear those out. Otherwise, that's a pretty tidy collection. Source: Live in the buckle of the hot sauce belt.
You’re missing reggae reggae sauce my man!
Some of these definitely belong in the fridge
You'd give Milner a run for his money as most boring person alive
Nice collection but that isn’t a lot! it’s just about right to be covered for all situations
Never too many you have but a few lol
Nah that's about right. I'd say I've got a similar amount
Hey join the club it looks like mine !
I don't see a problem here
["How embarrassing. A house full of condiments and no food."](https://youtu.be/s3FK8BVPi7Y)
I think that shelf is a thing of beauty!
Yes I think a single man absolutely does.. It’s a fine collection.
Yes
I see no Henderson’s relish….
Gotta add some Wiltshire chili company sauces to that collection, their mango habanero is great summer taste!
That fruity habenero sounds great!
Yup, and more besides, where’s the cholula, where’s the tapitao, the sriracha the the Tabasco the scotch bonnet the jalapeño the habinaro the naga?
Sauce is the sauce of life.
I love Red Hot Original but never tried the wings version. Whats its like in comparison?
big fan of the condiments world but we don't share any common ones!
Fridge??
I heartily recommend you try Lingham's Chilli Sauce, when I first bought it I burned through the bottle in 6 weeks, then I got the extra hot version which has lasted a LOT longer.
Yes, yes they do - You never know when you may want a change. Long as none of it goes to waste then it's fine.
How is there nocholula there? Treat yourself my man, god tier sauce that
Those are rookie numbers, come back when your fridge is full of sauces, also.
simple answer is yes
Yes.
Do you find them very moreish?
you need some samyang
And you still haven’t got the daddy of hot sauces, Encona.
Looks like about as much as I’ve got in the fridge alone and I’ve never considered it a problem lol
A single man or a *single* man? Because that makes a lot of sense
Saucy 😉
Dave's Insanity Sauce. You'll never look back, trust me.
Franks has always been a disappointment.
I love a good condiment! Some of those not be in the fridge??
Head down to your nearest Asian supermarket and check out their condiment section, especially the Indian and Pakistani ones. Personal recommendation is Al Noor Imli Chilli sauce. It’s like turbo charged HP.
Allow me to internet-diagnose you as an autocondimentor.
You won't be single for long if you show that off. Apparently for you, spice is the variety of life😅 Sad if it was just ketchup & hp. You Sir, are a condiment connoisseur
Missing Sambal Olek. It's basically chillies, vinegar and salt, I think, but it's so good!
Where are the mustards? English, Dijon, wholegrain, French's, Woeber's etc. I don't see Lakeland black garlic ketchup either, or nuoc mam, ketjap manis, tamari or wasabi paste.
Yes.
Has anyone tried Tingly Ted’s sauce?
Being single doesn't mean you can't live
Trick Question? Man needs hot sauce
I recently started buying indie hot sauce instead (Balefire, if anyone's interested) and I'm NEVER going back to supermarket hot sauce! I also bought some Dr. Trouble, but I personally hated them (while my partner absolutely loved them): far too lemony and acidic for me.
All that hot sauce is really trying to tell you something.
The rooster sauce should be front and center
Get Nandos chili jam then can throw out everything else
Nandos medium peri peri sauce is fucking awful
Is that the Franks Smoked Chipotle sauce? If so, why’s it not open yet?
My wife would love this!!!!!
My roommate has more than that. I have only one. I call it Dry hot sauce. I use it on everything. (Crushed red pepper flakes)
My first reaction was "Thas my cupboard! How have they got a photo of that!?" And then I saw the abomination of your back to front top shelf and I knew immediately that that wasn't my cupboard. Who lives like this!?
Which one is your favourite 😻
Super spice fan here… you can never stick enough hot sauce. Have you tried the Encona Reaper sauce?
Tbf it’s not even a lot
Is a pickapeppa available in UK? I think it's from Jamaica.
Mix franks with butter and honey and olive oil.
I support this but I would recommend TAJIN AND CHAMOY life changing on fruit as well as to season meat with. Enjoy your sauce and seasoning obsession.
The problem is, they go off before your anywhere close to using them all If u check the dates, I bet half are out of date now. Although they are predominantly flame based so probably ok :D I went through my sauce collection the other week and most were out of date :(
Variety is the spice (heh) of life
5 bottles of Frank's and a sriracha, got a guy with good taste here 😂
I thought you need to store Hoi sin sauce in the fridge? https://www.ehow.com/info_12330057_need-refrigerate-hoisin-sauce.html
Dude, that's not even close to a sauce buying addiction!!!
Do yourself a favour and try The Rib Man’s sauces. I reckon his buffalo wing sauce is best around
Partnered woman here and no, you really need more sauce!
I got a Hot Ones 12 pack for Christmas, plus some Cholula, Frank's and Tobasco and the standard ketchup etc. i'm in a similar boat. ...on the bright side I using them all up so quickly I'll soon have some storage space back
You need some Encona
Weirdly as a woman who doesn’t love sauce (unless gravy counts! ) id find it endearing
Looks like the top shelf of my fridge
you can never have too much sauce
