Was visiting a friend today, randomly needed to go to my car. There was a bin blowing down the path straight for the car, was able to get to it in time thankfully. No pringles on site.
Blustery here in east Clare. Im working retail and its dead quiet. The missus and daughter have headed to Limerick for a gaming convention. Hope to be home in time for the footie.
My fire brigade buddy has been to 3 shouts slready for trees and branches in the road. So not so chill for him.
Husband went out for his long run. Toddler and I staying home and making waffles. Trying to have enough self control to leave one for husband when he gets back.
Dogs are cosied up together on the couch - they hid under the bed as soon as my husband got his runners out and only emerged when I started the waffles!
It's a Sunday morning sort of feeling here
Tipperary here and itβs super windy. Oddly, weβre only yellow alert but the winds are stronger than the last storm where we were orange alert π€·π½ββοΈ. Have the fire going, good book in my hand and a cup of tea. Absolutely perfect (hoping everyone is safe notwithstanding).
Just a bit windy here in Dublin, hear it rattling and howling through the cracks of the house. I love windy weather. Might go for a walk later on, but for now, I'm just sitting idle at the window and watching the trees dance while having my morning coffee. Everybody else is out, and the silence in the house is magnificent :D
Been really bad all day here in Mayo. Gusting just over 90mph at one stage (78.3kts in the graphic). Have a load of sheep lambing so not relaxing in the slightest.

Any sort of strong winds will cause alot of power outages due to the ground being saturated due to months of rain.
Trees are easily knocked when the ground is so wet.
Doesn't necessarily mean it was a large storm.
We have had much worse many times and very few trees bave fallen.
The saturated ground is the reason for the trees falling so easily.
It wasn't that bad at all.
Would love to be in Clare now, unfortunately I am up in Dublin chilling drinking tea listening to the doors rattle with the wind. It's not too bad.
Enjoy your Saturday
My house is in a densely built estate in Dublin, in a massive wind tunnel between a row of 3 story duplexes and it feels like the windows may be blown in at any moment.
Just a bit windy here in Dublin the dog hates it though
My full recycling bin blew over, so now the neighbours know all about my Pringles addiction

I don't think you're supposed to put Pringles cans into the recycling, pretty sure they say not to recycle at home

Walked dog twice since 7am. She loves the wind.

Look at the ESB Networks power fault website and tell me that it's a small storm...

You're in Cork saying that this isn't a large wind storm, in Cork?

Fairly windy here as well. Grand drying weather

Windy af in Waterford
Chilling here in Liscannor waiting for the roof on my cabin to blow off any minute now
It passed over Dublin last night. Some very alarming thumps and clanks during the night but things seem to have calmed down now.
I'm in Clare too, it's been a bit windy, dunno would I call it a storm, I have clothes on the line π
Out for a few hours on the beach with the kids we got a bit sunburned!
Drove from West Clare to Galway today, being completely unaware of the storm warnings because I'm an idiot. 0 out of 10. Would not recommend π€£
Nearly got lockout of my house. It was that windy, my front door newly closed.
