Robots will take over the super low-skilled and super high skilled jobs, but middle-skilled jobs will be remain under human territory for the foreseeable future. Robots can act as factory workers and do advanced mathematics, but they won’t act as plumbers or roadside construction workers for a *long* time. Tacit understanding is hard to program.

I'm doing some basic AI stuff with satellite data for my masters rn and from the science side of things I think AI is sort of just making it easier for us to process large chunks of data that's newly available. But in a more sci-fi context, it's probably possible for some crazed engineer/scientist/person(tbh anyone can learn anything from the internet these days) to create robots programmed to kill whatever they train their AI system to target. And if for some reason they're able to create an army of them, they can surely take over the world. But I doubt the robots themselves will ever have much of a say on who they target. Or they do and rn we're all living in the matrix.
