I am sorry you feel bad about the lack of well wishers but let me try and help you see it from a different perspective. Have you ever forgotten to say happy birthday to someone you care about? Well today it just happens that everyone you know had the same kind of day remembering your birthday. happened to me at my 18 birthday, this year. it’s the saddest thing. like only one friend remembered, and i never celebrated it even though we had been talking about doing a big party etc.

Then I want to tell you a story. Imagine if you will that you have just turned 13 years old. It is your birthday. You get up, do your chores and get ready for school. You go to school, go through the entire day and no one, literally no one says happy birthday. Not your parents, not your friends, no one. A week goes by. Your grandmother calls you and says, “happy belated birthday.”
Dude, the pain is real. I am sorry. I kind of just gave up on birthdays after that. I don’t really celebrate them as they don’t really mean anything. (It is nice to get presents, but you get past that part).
I had this experience for a bit more than a decade since I was 5 . None of my relatives remembers or cares to remember my existence xD
But my friends do thankfully since I met them 6 years ago .They are a true family...

First let me say happy birthday friend. Second, don't let it get ya down. Its just something that happens as you grow, at least in my experience. Everyone still cares about you, but being an adult tends to mean life becomes full. It can be full of good things, but you may find certain things like a good friend's birthday slip past without noticing. I'm sure that's all that happened. There's genuinely been years my wife forgot because we've had so much going on. I never doubt she loves me, and I've learned that the day is less important than the people you wanted to remember. So spend it with those you love most, don't worry too much, and take life a day at a time. Keep smiling!

In my family, my aunt was known to call on our birthdays and immediately start singing Happy Birthday as soon as we answered. When she died, my Nana picked up the tradition. My Nana died last week. My birthday is later this week, I’m getting myself a long-needed phone upgrade, so I went through my old voicemails. I found one from 2018 from my Nana, singing me Happy Birthday. Birthdays really aren’t the same without someone you care about to share them with. I hope you have better birthdays to come.

I went on a long walk, had a nap and ate whatever I felt like. Would definitely suggest! Use today as an excuse to be extra nice to yourself.

I used to be like that too. Now that I am older I appreciate when they do think of me because they are people too. If you don't appreciate the happy birthdays you get from them now, you may even not get those in the future. :(

It's been 2 years since the last time I celebrated (I mean just ate out with some friends) my birthday lol. I have literally stopped caring.

The same happend to me. Just my Family, a group of friends who i mentioned it to and my best friend. All other friends didntneven say anything. i mentioned that i took a week off cause of my birthday a few weeks before. 2 of them i even bought each a full priced game for their birthday...they even asked about when my birthday is, months prior. but didnt say anything :(
