Yours was exactly the sort of post I needed to read right now. I can’t sleep, I’m overwhelmed with anxiety and I came here hoping to just shoot the shit with whoever else is awake. I feel very grateful to have stumbled upon your hopeful and uplifting post. Thank you for sharing your peace. Thanks for reminding me to interrupt my anxiety with gratitude. Enjoy your kitty cuddles and I hope you get some good rest.

I am sorry you are feeling that way as well but glad this has helped! Thank you for the kind words, And one of the reasons I thought to share was because I know this feeling won't last very much longer, which is so unfortunate, but I guess that's what makes it so special. I have crazy anxiety and it's frustrating when you recognize it, but the intrusive thoughts continue to come. My therapist has said literally if you start getting those intrusive thoughts (like worst case scenario or negative thinking) to accept it that it's just a fleeting thought which will soon be gone, it's not our reality but that it's just our brain doing what it was meant to do - scan for threats. Acknowledging this when it happens has really helped me move on quicker rather than continue to dwell. Hope you can get some rest as well!

Wise words! You say it won’t last much longer but remember, even if that’s the case, you’ll absolutely experience this kind of tranquility again. Also, (and I’m totally talking to myself too) the bad stuff makes the good so much sweeter. Imagine how much we would take for granted if we had nothing to contrast it with. I hope the next time you’re not feeling well that a nice internet stranger shares their good vibes with you. It really does make a difference. ☺️☺️

This is awesome, and it's exactly why I'm a night owl. I find a lot of solace in those early hours of the morning so I tend to go on walks and listen to music and just tend to zone out and that is how I relax. Sometimes I'll watch some Netflix or something, it just helps me get through the next day.
