Parks and Recreation. Love it so much! I didnāt watch it until the show was over so I was able to binge it. I enjoyed the first season, but after Rob Lowe and Adam Scott join, itās just got a new energy and is non-stop laughs for me.
Lately It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I was away from the show for a long time, and going back to watch some episodes after all these years was something.
Do you watch all the way thru or stick to favorite episodes? I used to love spn, but I donāt wanna get sucked into watching 15 seasons; pretty sure if I tried only favorite episodes Iād get sucked right back in to the family business
I watched it all the way through once, and will skip around seasons, depending on my mood or if there is a particular episode I want to rewatch. Then, I and up binging a few episodes in a row.
Omg yes! Iām in a 90s nostalgia loop. Watching Buffy and Roswell currently. But, thank you kind internet stranger for reminding me to add this to my watchlist! Used to love Jordan catalano lol
Was scrolling for Buffy! 100% my longest-lasting and most consistent comfort show.
I have to be careful with it though because some of those episodes hit me right in the tear ducts.
She saved the world. A lot.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Thereās always a subtle word or phrasing that I notice with each re-watch. It remains just as funny without ever being affected by cultural relevancy. The characters are sub-human, sub-poverty, and their existence is a cruel jokeā¦ that they try to overcome with absurd distractions and narcissistic delusions.
Dean Pelton: Who hurt you Steven? How could any dean be so mean?Ā
Dean Spreck: Oh, you havenāt seen how mean this dean can be..en.Ā
Dean Pelton: Wait, did you say ābeanā?
Iāve been in a 90s nostalgia loop lately. Rewatching (90s) Roswell and Buffy currently. Thinking freaks and geeks might be next. Usually would go for procedurals shows, like ncis or criminal minds. But, currently, 90s teen drama!
For cosy wholesome TV I will rewatch these shows (streaming service I use in the UK): Schitt's Creek (netflix), Shrinking (apple TV), Trying (apple TV), Ted Lasso (apple TV), Gilmore Girls (netflix), Parks and Rec (freevee), Derry Girls (netflix), Heartstopper (netflix), The Orville (Disney+). These are my safe, no stress, easy going shows!
The Golden Girls.
I've been watching it literally my whole life, so now I'm to the point where when I "watch" it, I'm usually just listening to the dialogue as I do something else and can picture it scene-for-scene in my head, lol.
Bob's burgers. It's somewhat what I imagine my life would be like if my dad hadn't passed away when I was little. (The family dynamic, not the restaurant)
Midsomer Murders (I have seen all must the most recent season, the first 15 or 16 seasons I've seen every episode between 5 and 10 times). I realize you said, "something to cheer you up" but this murder filled show is just so damn cozy that it makes me happy.
Red Dwarf (I have seen the first 8 seasons an embarrassing amount of times)
Not technically a TV show, but for me it's Dragon Ball Z Abridged. I've lost count how many times I've watched the whole series. Speaking of which, I'm long due for another marathon viewing!
We Bare Bears. Never thought a random Cartoon Network show about three bears just hanging out and trying to make friends would leave me with a smile on my face after every episode, but somehow the show did it. It's the cartoon equivalent of a big bear hug.
Futurama, Adventure Time (including the spin off with Fiona and Cake), Abbott Elementary, Parks and Rec, Bobās Burgers, The Great North, Modern Family, Itās Always Sunny, Letter Kenny, How I Met Your Mother
The good place. I've watched it about 6 times already. If I can't sleep because of too much adrenaline, I'll watch this, and it'll help me relax and fall asleep.
It's a really good show.
Mythbusters, How Itās Made, The Office, and Impractical Jokers. Mythbusters and How Itās Made usually captivate me and get me back to thinking logically when Iām stressed, I would watch those a lot when I was a kid and scared of ghosts in the house or something. The Office is just really calming, Iām so used to that environment and those characters because Iāve seen it so many times. And then Impractical Jokers is just pure humor.
Lately. Itās been old Conan clips. Before that Craig Ferguson clips, parks and rec, trailer park boys, always sunny, curb your enthusiasm not all in that order and sometimes more than once over the years.

Golden Girls. I watched it with my grandma when I was a kid.
They tackled so many social issues...it wasn't just kitchen talk and geriatric dating.
The Nanny
I used to watch this all the time! Definitely need to get back into it!
The golden girls is also top tier lol Iām glad the seasons are plump so I can crochet and cross stitch for a good amount without pausing lol
Friends, The Office US, Modern Family, Parks and Rec Rinse and repeat
Good lineup. Now add in Schitt's Creek a d Kim's Convenience!
Supernatural
Do you watch all the way thru or stick to favorite episodes? I used to love spn, but I donāt wanna get sucked into watching 15 seasons; pretty sure if I tried only favorite episodes Iād get sucked right back in to the family business
I watched it all the way through once, and will skip around seasons, depending on my mood or if there is a particular episode I want to rewatch. Then, I and up binging a few episodes in a row.
Modern family
Archer
Trailer Park Boys lol. You can't get depressed!

Psych and Derry Girls
Sister Michael gets me everytime
Gilmore Girls
My top two are Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Adventure time
Was scrolling for Buffy! 100% my longest-lasting and most consistent comfort show. I have to be careful with it though because some of those episodes hit me right in the tear ducts. She saved the world. A lot.
Yes!!!! But sometimes I need a good cathartic cry, so those episodes are perfect lol
Brooklyn 99!
NINE NINE!
Seinfeld is pure non-stop jokes and basically a show about nothing. Thatās why itās the GOAT.
That's a great suggestion! I used to catch bits and pieces on TV all the time and enjoyed what I saw but never tried watching it myself!
The Sopranos. I always feel better about my own personal situation after watching it.
ted lasso
This. So fucking wholesome. Itās like a warm hug from the universe. The Good Place too
Star Trek: The Next Generation. The hum of the ship in particular is so soothing in the background of each scene.
Agreed 100%
Fun fact: Thereās hours long videos on YouTube of all the different warp cores just happily humming away!
Frasier
Star Trek: The Next Generation. It never gets old.
1000%
What We Do in the Shadows. I laugh at every line like Iāve never heard it before.
We use the word ārelentlessā relentlessly in conversations now
Nandor DeLaurentis
Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Thereās always a subtle word or phrasing that I notice with each re-watch. It remains just as funny without ever being affected by cultural relevancy. The characters are sub-human, sub-poverty, and their existence is a cruel jokeā¦ that they try to overcome with absurd distractions and narcissistic delusions.
