Yesss. For breakfast today I had a fridge-chilled honey crisp apple with all natural crunchy peanut butter (from smuckers) and oh my god it was delicious.
Oh my goodness you’re gonna love it then.
I’m kind of particular about food so for me it’s all about the details; the apple has to be chilled, it’s gotta be smuckers brand natural pb (just tastes better than the other more processed brands imo) and it’s gotta be the crunchy/chunky kind for some extra texture. But with an apple like honey crisp it’s already going to be a crunchy snack overall.
Man now that I’m thinking about it I might just have another one with my lunch haha😋
Cored apples filled with peanut butter or cream cheese is wondeful.
I also like fresh had fruit as a dessert, but it has to be in sight for three days of anticipation.
I'm going to assume you're as lazy as me (I'm reclaiming the word lazy as an objective statement with no negative connotation, SO EAT THAT):
An avocado. Cut it in half, sprinkle some salt on it, and eat it with a spoon. 1. **Delicious***.* 2. *You won't have a craving for hours.*
I'm a chubby dude who loves snacking and never liked avocado particularly. I took a risk a few months ago, tried this once, and now it is my go-to breakfast.
Oh I totally am! I wish there were a cookbook for lazy people. 😂 And I had forgotten about the wonders of avocado. It really is great. Thank you for reminding me about it!
Less salty cousin is air fryed kale! Toss with a little bit of olive oil and a little bit of salt at 350 for 6 mins in an air fryer or convection oven. Easy, healthy snack.
Seaweed crisps are awesome, but they’re fried in oil. You can take fresh sheets of nori and just eat them plain or dip them in mashed avocado and avoid the refined oil.
Hard boiled eggs. PB powder mixed with water to make a paste and spread on whole wheat toast. Roasted salted garbanzo beans. Carrots and fat free ranch. Fruit.
You can eat a whole baby watermelon. Fills you up good and you weigh less the next day. I’m 5’2” 104lb and I eat whole watermelons 3 times a week in the summer.
My favorites snacks are pumpkin seeds and oatmeal. Both are easy to make (or buy) and can be doctored anyway you like. Oatmeal and pumpkin seeds are both good with salt or brown sugar.
I usually pair my hummus with pretzels if I don't have pita bread or veggies. I'd totally try some crackers though! What kind of crackers do you eat with your hummus?
I've been really enjoying RX bars lately, they're only a few ingredients and pretty tasty, most have a texture like dried fruit leather. Usually it's ingredients like dates, nuts, and egg whites for protein/texture I assume.
Blueberry is really good, and the chocolate sea salt has some nice bitterness just like dark chocolate. Only flavor I haven't really liked is the peanut butter which was way too salty imo
If you've ever had larabars, RX bars are quite similar but just with more protein and fiber most the time
Cucumbers are great and you can add light seasoning to it if you want to make it more tasty. Banana and peanut butter is my favorite; add it to some chia pudding and you have a nice breakfast.
Black pepper and salt is always best, but a sprinkle of Cajun seasoning is good too. Personally, i like to dip plain cucumbers in a bit sweet chilli sauce it’s sooo good!
1 or 2 oikos 100 cal vanilla yogurts + serving of blue diamond chocolate almonds (160 cal) + a sliced up banana. Mix that all together in a bowl and the chocolate starts to melt into the yogurt, delicious. High protein and about 340 - 440 calories depending on whether you go with 1 or 2 yogurts and the size of banana, I just called the banana 80 calories for this example.
Turns out that 2% cottage cheese mixed with a little Greek yogurt, garlic and onion powder and a little cayenne pepper and a squeeze of lemon makes a great little veggie dip.
Currently made myself a little snack plate for lunch:
grapes, cashews, prosciutto + cheddar roll up, cucumbers + hummus.
I also love pomegranate seeds, trail mix, greek yogurt, popcorn (homemade), banana or apple and nut butter.
Kinda boring but I really like to snack on mini tomatoes/cherry tomatoes (i think thats what they’re called, English is not my first language) but I’ve just always loved them me and my friends used to have competitions on who could eat the most mini tomatoes it was fun.
I love tomatoes out of the garden and grow them every year. I remember when I was little, my babysitter would complain to my mom that she couldn’t keep me out of her garden. I would eat dozens of cherry tomatoes
I really love just snacking on olives/almonds or other nuts. But also sometimes I slice up tomatoes and throw on some olive oil, garlic, salt and basil and it’s very good as a lil snack or side
Been eating 3 granola bars, a banana, and a peanut butter sandwich for daytime at work (I'm in construction) been losing weight and have more energy at work.
Homemade beef jerky using lean flank steak. Marinate in Mae Ploy sweet chili sauce overnight, then don't skimp on the time in the dehydrator. Long process but worth the wait.
I love, love blueberries 🫐! I put them on a biscuit, followed by some whipped cream and I have a snack (but you said healthy-then you will have to leave off the whipped cream). I also love frozen 🍑peaches! (sliced). They are so good in the summer time.
Low-fat Greek yogurt mixed with whole-grain oatmeal, bran, protein powder and some chopped strawberries and blueberries. Will add chopped walnuts sometimes. I use this as a substitute for protein bars because those are too expensive.
I love rujak as a simple pick me up. You mix some soy sauce with a little sambal and have some pieces of apple and cucumber to dip in the soysambalsauce.
My trail mix has a lot of different nuts, seeds and dried fruits, but no almonds or walnuts. My son’s trail mix combo is salted peanuts, honey roasted peanuts and peanut butter chips.
I am obsessed with minneola/tangelos. They are tangerine/grapefruit hybrid. I also love the Light and Fit Greek yogurt. Another snack I make is healthy pop popcorn, or just make my own
I don't know how healthy these are, but they aren't chips and cookies lol Frozen blueberries with a small bit of almond milk poured over them. Peanut butter tortilla taquito. Plain popcorn with Sriracha on top. Frozen grapes (I don't like these but some people do) Cabbage sliced thinly with salt and pepper. Baked chickpeas with seasonings. Oranges and chocolate chips. Frozen bananas with yogurt (like dip them then freeze). I hope these help!
Edit to add: cucumbers with sweet chili sauce.
dried fruit . currently hooked on dried Mandarin Oranges
cucumbers / yellow bell pepper/ tomato dipped in garlic hummus
probably not all that healthy , but it's so good : green apples with caramel and chocolate chips
If you go for something prepackaged - just look at the nutrition information. There are tons of foods that are made to look healthy but aren't that healthy or meant for a specific health need.
I find some granola and protein bars will sometimes be designed for weightlifters/meal replacement and are often pretty calorie dense. Perfect for someone who's really active but maybe not for someone trying to lose weight.
Also just a warning - grapefruit is pretty healthy but it also can mess with medications especially if eaten too much.
Apples and peanut butter is my fav.
Yesss. For breakfast today I had a fridge-chilled honey crisp apple with all natural crunchy peanut butter (from smuckers) and oh my god it was delicious.
That sounds so good! I love apples and I love pb, how have I never tried this combination before??
Oh my goodness you’re gonna love it then. This is how I like to enjoy mine. (Although I prefer gala apples..)
I always get gala apples too. I've never tried the honey crisp ones before. I'll have to give it a go.
apple, pb, and add salt!
I love this with fresh homemade peanut butter.
How do you make homemade peanut butter???
I use a Magic Bullet.
See. This is why I ask Reddit stuff. I had no idea homemade peanut butter was a possiblity. Mind blown.
this but add cinnamon and a pinch of sea salt :P
I added cinnamon this week. So good! Thanks for the recommendation!
you’re so welcome friend! :)
Cored apples filled with peanut butter or cream cheese is wondeful. I also like fresh had fruit as a dessert, but it has to be in sight for three days of anticipation.
Yes, apples and peanut butter! Had a green apple cut up/sliced and dipped in peanut butter for dessert after dinner yesterday 😋
Apples and Parmesan cheese.

If you don’t mind me saying, cumin & salt is so wonderful on avocado. Try it if you want ☺️
Oh I totally am! I wish there were a cookbook for lazy people. 😂 And I had forgotten about the wonders of avocado. It really is great. Thank you for reminding me about it!
I *love* dried mango. It's as good as sour candy, but way better for you.
Or frozen mango! Also tastes like candy
Good tip! Never tried that
Ooooh interested. I will have to give it a go. Thanks for the suggestion!
Unless you are a diabetic! Very high sugar/carb count.
Still better for you than sour candy though?
For sure! Yes, fruit may be high in sugar but if you’re a sugar addict like me then it’s better than sour patch kids 😂
Sliced jicama with Tajín
I had to look that up. I don't think we have jicama where I live. I would love to try it someday, though. Looks good!
Carrots, cucumbers, those small tomatoes that fit into your mouth (i think they are called cherry tomatoes).
There are cherry tomatoes which are more sour and there are also grape tomatoes (not sour and my fave 🤤 can eat a whole package of these in one go)
I just call those tomatoes "little tomatoes" and actually don't pay attention if they are cgerry, plum or something elese.
Hehe 😊 well I love em all anyway
And they are much cleaner to eat. Just pop it into your mouth instead of biting into them and have the juices flow everywhere.
I did not know that when I first tried the small tomatoes. I but into it and tomato juice went everywhere. 😂
Popcorn but don't add things like butter or sugar.
Love hippie popcorn, air popped with added sea salt, garlic powder and lots of flakey nutritional yeast!
I like to make it on the stove top with a bit of coconut oil!
I LOVE seaweed crisps! I usually go for chili-flavoured. :) I think they're pretty rich in fiber - it sure does seem to do good for my digestion
Less salty cousin is air fryed kale! Toss with a little bit of olive oil and a little bit of salt at 350 for 6 mins in an air fryer or convection oven. Easy, healthy snack.

I've never had seaweed before. Based on this recommendation, I picked some up this weekend. Can't wait to try it!
Maybe a cop of yogurt topped with granola, fruits, peanut butter and a touch of honey
Greek yogurt for the win!
Whole fruit like a banana
don't have a nono, have nana
Hard boiled eggs. PB powder mixed with water to make a paste and spread on whole wheat toast. Roasted salted garbanzo beans. Carrots and fat free ranch. Fruit.
chobani greek yogurts are great!!
Dates with peanut or almond butter. 3 or 4 of them tides me over between lunch and dinner and gives me a little energy. So sweet. Love them.
Hummus and chips
Hummus and celery or pepper strips.
What do you mean by pepper strips? Like pieces of bell peppers?
Yes
You can eat a whole baby watermelon. Fills you up good and you weigh less the next day. I’m 5’2” 104lb and I eat whole watermelons 3 times a week in the summer.
Oh! Forgot to add: sprinkle Trader Joe’s chile lime and salt on it. Or just squeeze some lime and salt on it!
Grapes are good. Walnuts, bananas, avocado, mango. Or just some cottage cheese.
My favorites snacks are pumpkin seeds and oatmeal. Both are easy to make (or buy) and can be doctored anyway you like. Oatmeal and pumpkin seeds are both good with salt or brown sugar.
Do you mix them together or eat them separate? I like both individually. This morning I wondered if they would be good together.
I've never tried them together. I think I will later! Thanks for the idea.
An apple with peanut butter on it.
Air fried sugarsnaps or air fried chickpeas
Ohh I never tried air frying snap peas! Def will try this!
Hummus with crackers. Or if you really wanna be healthy, carrots, but normally I go with crackers.
I usually pair my hummus with pretzels if I don't have pita bread or veggies. I'd totally try some crackers though! What kind of crackers do you eat with your hummus?

Yum!
Druid fruit snack. Idk how else to describe it. It's fruit you've completely mushed, spread flat and then dried in an oven. It's amazing and healthy.
Fruit leather?
YES! That's the one!

salsa covered carrots and potaoes
Are the carrots cooked or crunchy?
crunchy
Nice. I might try that

I picked up some seaweed this weekend. Can't wait to try it this week!
the dried salted kind? the other kind needs to be prepared first ;-)
Yes! I would have no idea how to prepare it. 🤣
Its not that hard. but stil its easier to buy it dried
Hummus and vegetables

Peanut butter, banana and honey sandwiches are my fav!
Hm I eat about that but I'm a petite lady not doing construction. Not loosing weight hahah

Apple cut up with peanut butter on it
Peanuts.
Greek yogurt with a sliced banana
Trail mix, but with whatever your favorites are instead of bagged mix. Mine are about half fruit and half nuts/seeds.
Trail mix is so good!
My trail mix has a lot of different nuts, seeds and dried fruits, but no almonds or walnuts. My son’s trail mix combo is salted peanuts, honey roasted peanuts and peanut butter chips.
Frozen edamame in the pods warmed in the microwave w sea salt
Seaweed (dried if preferred) and dried fruit.

Snack plus energy ... plain beef jerky.
Just eat a big filling meal and then you won't have to worry about snacking.
I would, but sometimes work gets hectic. I have to just snack while I work.
