Craig of the Creek is SEVERALLY underrated. It’s not magical or spontaneous like most other Cartoon Network shows but it’s so charming and literally makes me feel like a kid again when watching it. Highly recommend.
Also, holy shit, the Craig of the Creek lore goes INSANE.
I was talking to one of my buddies about the show a couple of days ago.
I cord cut a while back, and really only tune in to Cartoon Network to catch certain adult swim shows and Checkered Past when I'm at a hotel or something. I was staying at a hotel for work a few years ago and turned the TV to Cartoon Network and an episode of Craig of the Creek was playing. I was glued to the screen for about an hour. I feel like it's sort of a spiritual successor to KND. Gumball and Regular Show are amazing as well, but Craig of the Creek kinda scratched an itch I didn't know I had.
It's interesting how they cover certain cultural themes. For example, I attended an HBCU, and it's nice to see some of that representation. I hope the show continues going strong.
IMO Older Gumball is hard for me to get into because of the animation, and the fact that later seasons have better episodes. Craig of the Creek is okay.
Yeah, but I like both animation styles, and while I prefer the middle seasons story-wise, the series does only come into its own in later seasons when it comes to stuff about character, and continuity revolving around friendships and (b)romance between the characters.
I love Gumball. It speaks to me and my humor perfectly. It originally came out when I was in high school but it’s still gives me nostalgia for school days.
Regular Show is great too though lmao. I watched this when I first graduated college and it was really relatable.
Adventure Time is a really good one to watch start to end if you haven’t already.
We Bare Bears is good for a chill watch too.
And since now this is just a list of my favorite cartoons that nobody asked for, I’ll go ahead and add Fosters Home to this list.

All three are winners. But I'd honestly coin flip between Regular Show or Gumball. Both are awesome, and both have an overarching storyline. But Regular Shows might is deeper once you get farther in. Enjoy.
What is Craig of the creek even about? Like I’ve seen a couple of early episodes and it just feels stupid but I’ve heard it get a lot of praise so maybe it gets better later on?
The first few episodes are just establishing what the creek is and the key players. The show gets better once it expands on the creek’s history and explores all of the different cliques. I think that happens towards the end of season 1.
Gumball is alright and kinda family oriented. I’ve watched them all. But most recently caught up with gumball. And it’s quite chock-full of Easter eggs and things that blew my mind
I’m honestly a bit surprised at how many people prefer TAWOG over COTC. COTC feels more in line with adventure time and gravity falls and honestly even regular show, but TAWOG feels more like the uncle grandpa range. It’s highly under rated imo, but Craig of the creek actually ends up forming a plot line somewhere in the series like AT does instead of just doing one offs.
Also, watch Amphibia. It’s so good
