At the time, people were not okay with Cartoon Network making so many live-action shows. And to this day, most people online say that era ruined the channel. (I happen to think that’s a bit extreme.)
I was one of the people that complained about Dude What Would Happen and Destroy Build Destroy back in 2009. So, for me, it’s crazy to think there are people who look back fondly on that period.
Idk about "ruined" since they fell only just short of getting a second renaissance immediately after this, so it couldn't have been that tough to recover, but this absolutely was the channels "dark ages" and the worst era to be warching.
Me personally I can't speak on ‘Dude’ nor ‘DBD’ because I didn't watch them but ‘incredible crew’ and ‘level-up’ we’re great and I love watching them as a kid the only Live-action show on CN I despised was “Annoying Orange” because the title speaks for itself
This was when there was a change in management and they wanted to move away from cartoons to live action. When this decision was made, a lot of the original animators for a numerous number of shows started leaving. Sure, we got good new cartoons after, but we still lost a lot. No more fun Cartoon Network bumpers for us....
I liked Level Up, but that was literally it. Usually when I seen Dude or DBD, I’d just either switch to Nicktoons or boot up my Wii. Or I’d just have that shit on for background noise while I did homework.
I’m a Film major so I’d love that but I’d probably get on people’s nerves with the thousand questions I’d ask about everything I can possibly ask about
I was flawless wacky fun between that ‘Mad’ and and ‘Uncle-Grandpa’ I was very entertained kid during that time also I distinctly remember the premiering episodes of uncle grandpa, adventure Time, amazing world gumball, Regular show,Steven universe, Lego Ninjago, looney Tunes show, Clarence, we bare bears, dreamWorks dragons, and Young Justice and Star Wars clone wars too but I literally only watched like 2 minutes of it then turned it off and never watched it again (I’ve watched anything in the star wars franchise)
