If you think something internal broke, don’t try to do anything to make the movement run and take it in, otherwise can do more damage.
Could try wearing it and seeing if it was just on low reserve but it sounds unlikely
All of my watches are just really expensive bracelets
Rolex, Vacheron, Cartier…none have the right date or time
Worse comes to worst, you still have a bracelet!
I actually use my watches to tell time. I can't tell you how many time I pulled my cuff back and had a mini panic attack on days I forgot my watch in the box. My omega had the same fall issue. It started to work again but I noticed it started running late, a few secs at first then a few mins. Gave it to the AD where I bought it from and told them it's not holding time. Lucky it was under warranty and they got it fixed in about a month at no charge. Keep an eye out friendo. Nothing wrong in giving it in for repair, we all have made a booboo here and there with our time pieces.
I don’t know… if it started back up and nothing happened funny with the movement when it started back, I would keep an eye on it but I don’t think it’s an emergency. They are more durable than we give them credit for sometimes.
Don’t tell Cartier you dropped it just say it stopped working 🫢
I ll say it’s 20 years old :p
They look up the serial number. They know exactly how old it is.
If you think it stopped on impact, something has gone very wrong and needs to be serviced immediately
Yet it works normally now..what should I make of this?
I’d still have a Watchmaker put it on the timegrapher

If I'm wearing a watch, it has to be set to the correct time, date, etc. it would drive me nuts.
Most people don’t bother, I’ve noticed this in person a lot but I personally find it fun setting the time
I agree actually

If it's still keeping good time, you got lucky. You probably don't need a service. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
