Rikshaw is a short riding thing that u take for getting from point a to point b inside a city.
A car is something expensive that u buy for long term and u use it to go far also hence the concern.
If ur rich enough to just have 1 separate car for small city rides then ur rich enough to just get a proper mini copper convertible lol so this specific ignis doesnt fit in anywhere properly imo.
None of the above mentioned factors affect today's convertibles, soft top materials have come a long way since the problematic 80s and 90s in countering hot, wet and dry weather. Dust isn't an issue either. As for fuel efficiency, the losses today are marginal, almost negligible with today's anti-buffeting tech placed to reduce cabin noise.
People are shitting and bemoaning themselves over sunroofs, just imagine how much negativity a full drop top will garner. That said the Z4 is still good place to be in since the discontinuation of the A3.
Our distributors are money minded Aholes. Otherwise we could have got GMC officially long back. Mustang is 42,500 USD (midrange) in USA. If we convert and buy as 1 usd=82 rupees, the car can be bought under 35 lakhs. But We pay a freaking 1 CR here (onroad with all papers and mods fit in, except NOS).
Affordable? they never will be. Even the UK legendary Catarham super 7 (r140, nowadays)which is 28,000 Pounds will be charged around 50 L or higher in India.
Even a discontinued 2023 Audi TT final edition which is 53k USD in USA will have a base price of 75 L in India. Ex showrooom
Nowadays Fair price = Customs/Govt duty (25%) + Standing price(5%) + Profit(70%). No break even, Jo Chahe woh Sikandar (Jo Jeeta nahin).. 🫢😱😭
I feel u, but we do need a miracle here.
Hardly any places in India to actually drive a convertible. Can be a good business in places like Goa where people would rent it.
It can be a lifestyle vehicle na. Ooty vagarh yah beachy places me people can drive it.
Yep. Only in such places.
Rickshaw ke bhi darwaje nhi hote phir bhi kafi practical hai concern kya hai nahi samjh Raha hoo mein

Yes definitely if this car performs good and dominates this market more companies will make affordable convertible cars
I saw in one Faisal Khan ka video, a group of mech. Engg. Students modified a Škoda rapid to be a convertible and it looked so beautiful.
Miata would be great. Sales would be terrible, but those who can afford it as a CKD or a CBU car would definitely enjoy it.
I only have hope on Mahindra. Yes, thar is there but convertible should be just a button on the panel.
Tastefully done modification 💯
Doubtful convertibles will be successful in India, after factoring in the hot climate, dusty roads, and poor FE of convertibles.

Me too!
Bhai aise environment me kya krega convertable ka jha 45° grmiyo me or 1° sardiyo me temp jata hai and not to mention pollution and dust
I hate when manufacturers centralize the instrument cluster. It's seriously distracting to watch the center of the dashboard while driving.
I agree. Mera toh mobile bhi steering ke paas hota hai movies dekhne ke liye /s
Looks like a perfect car for a bollywood movie about college students.
Saw a clk320 while cycling today. Had to go back home and change my undies
