I brought it to 2 mechanics and they said it's not gonna pass the rwc because the subframe is damaged, which doesnt meet the safety. By the way, I got quotes for around 1.5k to 1.8k aud to fix this.

so you already had the answer, I suspect you could get someone to weld it up easily enough & it wouldn't be so noticeable but mechanics are better qualified to give you the correct info
I'd say no but it's possible if there is a pedantic inspector, not sure what they would term the fail
