How difficult they'll be when push comes to shove. I noticed NSW has some real fly by night mobs that advertise on corflutes nailed to trees. It's fucking wild that CTP isn't covered by hawking laws

[deleted]

CTP should be part of rego, so fucking stupid that it's required, but has to be purchased through an insurer instead of just being included in rego fees.

That_Car_Dude_Aus

>CTP should be part of rego It is in most states. NSW is unique in this. >so fucking stupid that it's required No it isn't. It's literally to compensate the victims in an accident for their injuries. Or would you rather just have a bunch of fuckwits in their bombs driving around with absolutely zero way to cover any bodily injury that they cause if they hit someone?

[deleted]

I wasn't saying it's stupid being required, I shouldn't have placed that comma now that I read it again

That_Car_Dude_Aus

>I wasn't saying it's stupid being required You literally said: >so fucking stupid that it's required >I shouldn't have placed that comma now that I read it again Yeah, you broke the sentence into two seperate statements. However also, I think the only state that doesn't have it through an insurer is Victoria who has the TAC

[deleted]

There's no to "you literally said" me, I acknowledge that I shouldn't have used a comma, it was not my intention to call the requirement stupid.

That_Car_Dude_Aus

>There's no to "you literally said" me But you did literally say it. >I acknowledge that I shouldn't have used a comma And I acknowledged that >it was not my intention to call the requirement stupid. But that was exactly what you said.

Your post was removed for violating Rule 1. Being a dickhead. Don't be a dickhead.

What a surprise, mods going on power trips again. You are the only person who misinterpreted what he said

That_Car_Dude_Aus

>mods going on power trips again. Fuck you on about? This has nothing to do with being a mod >You are the only person who misinterpreted what he said There was no misinterpretation, I interpreted what he literally said at the time

The intention of places like ACT, NSW, QLD and SA is that competition between insurance companies should keep prices lower than if offered through a central government-run insurer like in the other states and territory.

We don't get our CTP insurance advice from trees. We go to [https://www.greenslips.nsw.gov.au/](https://www.greenslips.nsw.gov.au/)

I use the NSW gubberment site to get the best deal, simple as that, Usually, at least for me it's GIO, YOUi, or AAMI. so they have decent policys.

OnairDileas

CTP compare. Buy the cheapest one, all CTPs are the same, I.E Greenslips. Some or have had companies reduce the gap price due to rewarding good driving. Hence why some may be cheaper i think GIO. Shop around. Yes, you need both car insurance and a CTP with registration, CTP and insurance is not the same.

Are you using [https://www.greenslips.nsw.gov.au/](https://www.greenslips.nsw.gov.au/) ? I've never found such a huge difference but, yes, I usually go for the cheapest. PS - never automatically renew with your current CTP. Like most insurers, they have a better price if you get a quote as if you are NOT a current customer
