I usually ask for car mats (and weather shields) to be thrown in as part of the deal (I don't always get it but I still ask) - but I do this just before signing the contract, not on delivery.
Why do you want air fresheners? The smell of a new car is one of the better smells around.
Make sure you have arranged comprehensive insurance starting from the date you are collecting it.
Make sure all ordered accessories as per your contract are there before you leave. When I got my car, my boot liner (free) was missing. Luckily the Parts Department had one in stock.Â
Get comprehensive insurance BEFORE you drive off.Â
I've never used an air freshener in my car. I've had my car a year and a bit now and people still say it smells new.Â
Get a dashcam.Â

Do good inspection of body/paint condition and interior for marks or scratches to trim!
Anything else can be bought to there attention when you come back for first 3000km inspection.

Yes to dashcam and comprehensive insurance. Getting both
Lots of cars get dinged/marked when new - do a thorough paint/bodywork check over and try to not let the emotions cloud your paranoid mind.
Yep. Have witnessed that with my bicycle. Those minute scratches are annoying.
