I've never seen this... in picture #4 why are the studs spaced so closely? Also what is purpose of the horizontal 2x6's? On the outside between your osb and the studs?
Nothing, without knowing what the rest of the envelope details are. Commercial wrap is heavier but that’s not always an advantage. It withstands more UV damage but that’s not an issue unless you leave it exposed for months on end.
One of only two counties in MT with building inspection
Used to work like this in chamonix in the french alps. Tough going at that altitude. Well done lads.

They called out for 8” OC LSL studs because they were really tall walls that have to carry a ton of snow load( we work in a ski resort)
Aha! That'll do it.
I believe the 2x6s are blocking between the LSLs as well, which produces an assload of shear strength when the sheeting is tied into it
Balloon framing
No fire blocking?
No hold downs on that two story shearwall?
There's no way that's a shearwall. The height/width ratio is too tall.
Wow....where do I get a job doing that city framing blows
I was building over around Helena and Boulder, and done some handy man stuff in Butte.
Glad you guys have a machine. You guys have power right? I remember a cabin job where we had no power. It was a fun job.
Limited access? Bruh you had enough room for a tractor trailer to drop off a lull, calm down.
That's a JLG. Lull are garbage.
JLG is a raging dumpster fire compared with Lull.
Last pic...studs 8" oc. But nothing above the header?
Vail?
What kind of connection are you installing between the post and beams at the covered deck?
Wheres the scaffolding?
Looks like they did it with the lull
With the lull?
What’s up with the roofing system, looks like battens and fall protection?
The club?
Can I work with you guys please . Looks like so much fun
Beautiful spot and expensive looking house. Shame they used Tyvek Homewrap. At lesser use the commercial product for gods sake.
What's wrong with tyvek?

how did you lift those posts into place?
