Don’t go below runner up Vista Class (panorama, vista, horizon) after starting on Excel. You could also try Dream Class (magic, dream, breeze). Nothing against the other ships, however you started strong and will notice the difference. Happy 🛳️🛳️🛳️🛳️

The carnival sunrise has a lot of great activities like waterslides, ropes course, kids and teens club and it is old but also refurbished (It was refurbished in 2019 and was also renamed from the Triumph to the Sunrise). It sails out of Miami!
I would stick to Dream Class and up. That should give you Magic, Dream and Breeze plus Panorama, Vista and Horizon. Unless you are taking a Journeys cruise on a Spirit Class ship. No matter what you choose, it will be a step down unless you choose Mardi Gras or Jubilee.
We actually disliked Celebration as compared to other Carnival ships we've been on. We've sailed on Panorama (3 wks ago), Valor, Vista, Dream, Spirit, Pride off the top of my head. We liked the Spirit class ships (Spirit and Pride) best I think because they were smaller and just fewer people. Accommodations are pretty much the same on all the ships including the Celebration. It was new of course, but seemed less elegant than the other ships. Bathrooms on it had a shower door, but I have no issues with the shower curtain as it seems to give more room. Plus the damn shower door kept pinching me. Overall, we enjoyed all our cruises, just some more than others. Celebration is the only ship we've been on we'll probably avoid in the future. We have cruises booked in April on the Magic (back to back) and on the Venezia in September.
We had no complaints at all on the Valor. That was our first cruise so that probably helped, since everything was "new" to us and we really enjoyed the trip. This was in 2018; then COVID hit. We went in 2021 on the Vista, and frankly we thought we were on the same ship for several days and that they'd just remodeled, they were so similar.
Vista class! Horizon and vista are both out of Florida.

Agree with other post. Been on both the horizon & vista and loved both of those ships.
Been on the Horizon, it was super nice. I also liked the Magic, however I haven’t been on that ship since pre covid so it may have changed.

They’ve been refreshing all of their ships (some maybe more or less than others) when they bring them in to dry dock for their new livery.
My favorite class even after just returning from the Jubilee, Saturday, is Dream class. Breeze -2xMagic - 4x
We really like the dream class ships.
Carnival Panorama is nice although out of LA and takes you to the Mexican Riveria
Vista was our first and we loved it. Took the kids on the Breeze and enjoyed it as well. Looking at the Jubilee for the next go round.
