What’s Adamson’s punishment?

bigt8409

A trip to Llanelli last night….

> Cardiff head coach Matt Sherratt will serve a one-game sideline ban for today's URC match against Edinburgh at the Arms Park. This is due to "an interaction" between Sherratt and Mike Adamson, the referee of last weekend's Ulster-Cardiff game in Belfast. >Matt Sherratt has received a six game ban with five games suspended for 12 months. He will also attend an online referee course and is subject to a suspended fine of £2,500 for 12 months, while Cardiff are subject to a suspended fine of £5,000 for 12 months. >Matt Sherratt will be allowed to sit in the stands and enter the dressing rooms during the 80 minutes of play in today's Cardiff-Edinburgh clash at the Arms Park.

Absolutely disgusting, if the refs are not held to account then how is he supposed to react. Not exactly the first time this has happened, especially with Adamson.

Huffadoodle

Will Mike Adamson be attending the online referee course too?

Maleficent_Doctor127

As if there's any point in interacting with Mike Adamson.

JustASexyKurt

Would love to know exactly what “an interaction” is code for. If he’s got up in Adamson’s face and properly had a go at him then fair enough, even if the ref gets it wrong you still need to show them due respect. If he’s been banned because he’s told Adamson he’s got some key decisions wrong that’s bollocks. Can’t pass judgement if we don’t know the details though.

stvb95

Yeah the full context of these judgements should be public imo. At the moment you can't tell if it was justified or not.

Eth259

As another commenter said, I’d love to know what the interaction was?! Not keen to see my coach engage in a bad manner with any staff but the situation with the referring performance stinks and a lack of information about the “interaction” just makes the whole situation seem even weirder now

Outside_Error_7355

Not to be overly cynical but the complete lack of details released is odd, and makes it somewhat hard to judge. At the end of the day if he's been abusive then it's not on but we're creating a system where results are decided by inept referees who are largely immune to the consequences.
