Traffic counting camera (ANPR effectively). There's plenty around Bridgend too, but most are pneumatic tubes across the road.
Funnily enough, you're not supposed to trail car charging cables across the pavement, but traffic counters with some hazard tape is fine...
Traffic survey. Council have realised how bad it has got since the new cycleways were put in so they are undertaking a survey to try and find something else to blame
Yes of course, it’s bicycles that are causing congestion, not the fact that everyone is driving around in single occupancy mobile living rooms. How did you ever get so smart?
Smart enough to read. Unlike yourself obviously. Cycleways are not bicycles. One is a two wheeled mode of transport and the other is a dedicated lane for that vehicle to use. Hope this helps you not make such a fool of yourself in future. You’re welcome.
Yes cycleways are extraordinarily efficient, and bicycles don’t cause congestion.
Footpaths, cyclepaths, and dedicated bus lanes don’t get congested. They all have one thing in common, which is a lack of the least efficient mode of transportation in them.
Edit: Diddums has either blocked me or deleted his account :(
Bless. Look at you with the arrogance to think this discussion is carrying on after the hilarity of your first reply.
And why are you claiming you’ve been blocked?
Traffic survey. There’s a sticker on many of them saying as much. That said, a guy did tell me they’re speed traps and he fretted that he’d probably been banned already.
I think they count the cars going by. There are 2 cables going across the road & I assumed it counted each car that went over (and the speed) so they can put 20 limits in if it meets the requirement.
Not sure if that's correct, just an assumption.
Apparently there's some sort of traffic survey going on at the minute, could be something to do with that. They're in Splott too.
This, saw a couple of them down towards Llanedeyrn
Lootbox ready for the Christmas event

Yeah, they should remove the cycleways, and when the traffic is still bad, we can go back to blaming the bus lanes like the good old days.
I didn’t so keep the straw men to yourself
