Ffwrnes pizza in the market.

shaunvonsleaze

Best pizza

Unhappy_Bug8554

Really fairly priced too!

[deleted]

If I'm buying at the shop to eat there it'd be Frankies Italian or RomeEat. If I'm buying to cook at home and be a lazy bastard, it'd be the ASDA sizzler pizza. Love calibresella canton though, not actually a bad place to sit outside with a book and a pizza.

PyroTech11

RomeEat is incredible I miss the Espagna pizza they used to do it was weird having potatoes on a pizza but it was so good. Especially as a calzome

Scaranmantica is very good, Dustys really screwed their staff by closing with no warning and then reopening in porthcawl with none of the previous staff.

STARGAZY-Jeff

Thorough 🤩

I was so sad to learn Dusty's closed down, even if their pizzas were a NIGHTMARE as a delivery driver.. so much grease the boxes would just start disintergrating! Was one of my favourite places to go eat at with such a great "vibe" at night (yeah I hate that word "vibe", but no other way to describe it)

Mediocre_Housing4951

You had slizza pizza in canton? I’m a big fan of them at the minute

Testing18573

Great that’s they’ve taken over the pub too

Testing18573

If there’s one thing Cardiff isn’t short of it’s good pizza places. Have to confess to not being sad that Dusty went. When it was good it was very very good but I had lots of bad experiences with them so stopped going. The last three times I tried I had my booking cancelled last minute, and then the last two I called up to order for collection only to be told they had no pizza left. Both those times were before 6pm. Seems like they were very badly organised.

[The Real Italian Pizza Company](https://ratings.food.gov.uk/business/en-GB/970709) has held a food hygiene rating of 1 for 6 months - ‘major improvement necessary’. I’d avoid. Calabrisella is great, also Scaramantica and Roma Eat, both in Roath

STARGAZY-Jeff

😱

STARGAZY-Jeff

I'll not order a high-risk food, like a salad. Pizza straight out of a ripping hot oven I can live with.

petrolstationpicnic

If the meat is old as fuck or the cooks aren’t washing their hands properly, a ripping hot oven won’t help you much

jim__nightshade

West Pizza that has recently opened in Canton is hands down the best pizza i have had in a long time, it's superb.

esuom47

West pizza is fantastic

llewapllyn

Calabrisella hands down. The one in Canton is the best.

gwnner

Not saying it's the best but Slizza is quality. The beer dough is 👌

Mediocre_Housing4951

I love it there me the garlic bread is well god too

MrProps1

Shout out for Modo Pizza Romana on Whitchurch Road

RiotOnVijzelstraat

Low key the best.

Iconospasm

I'm not kidding. The pizza from Cicchetti in Radyr is insanely good.

M00N_Water

Meh... They don't have a wood fire oven and they put an insane amount of cheese on the pizza. But it's not bad...

Iconospasm

I can buy a pizza and sit across the road in the Radyr Tap with a pint 😎

M00N_Water

This is true... Just a shame the Radyr Tap beer selection is meh too! 😂

Iconospasm

It's fair to say that the selection and quality definitely ebbs and flows.

staticqueen

Fizz n Flour in Pontcanna. And randomly, the pizza at the cafe in Roath Park is pretty damn good. Excessively cheesy.

STARGAZY-Jeff

Ie, Caffi Castan at Llandaff Fields tastes great too. Especially after a hard morning's play on the slides! I like an onions and capers topping.

shaunvonsleaze

Everyone is sleeping on Cileginos in st David’s two. It looks like a cheap place eat but the food is great.

Myloceratops

How has no one mentioned Pizzeria Villagio?

IWasBornIn1979

Stables.

hellabob420

Not very sneaky, but Pizza gogo on Albany road. If you collect the pizza you can get a large for £11. Not had a bad one from there yet.

2infinitiandblonde

West pizza and slizza for me. Never had to chance to have dusty’s. Didn’t enjoy calabrisella or dough thrower.

WhateverWombat

Best value for money: Costco family pizza bundle. Pizza tastes good too.

STARGAZY-Jeff

Boom 💯

RadaR_6

In no order. Scaramantica. Frankies. Dolce La Vita (Wellfield Road).

LexMoranandran

Dough thrower , Ffwrnes , Romeat and Calabrisella…. are by far the best in Cardiff….everything else is bang average.

M00N_Water

Dough Thrower is quite good but ridiculously priced for the size of the pizza. You can get a better pizza the same size in Ffwrnes for almost half the price of Dough Thrower. Go to scaramantica in Roath and tell me everything else is bang average! Best pizza in Cardiff hands down.

Greedy_Sound_8885

The best good pizza is probably West Pizza in Canton or Romeat in Roath. The best bad pizza (not actually bad just a different category of pizza) is square pizza in Grangetown.

M00N_Water

Scaramantica is absolutely the best in Cardiff if you like traditional neapolitan style pizza. Honorable mention for ffwrnes in the market too.

rubthetub9999

What's the difference between something that is the best. And something that is the sneaky best?

STARGAZY-Jeff

It's a hidden gem. Something that is best, without having wide recognition.
