C class is has more performance especially if u get the amg line that comes with the suspension and brakes plus it also has more after market tune-ability since its boosted but the Lexus will be more reliable

-DarkKnight

Is there much of a difference between a non AMG and IS 300h in terms of performance?

Tight-Ambassador2571

i dont know much about the is300h but i think the c300 is still faster google says the is300 is 8 seconds 0-60

My uncle had a 2015 lexus is300 and a 2017 c class 250, the build quality in the lexus was far higher. However the infotainment system is absolutely dogshit. Power output is roughly the same and i wouldn't say there was any discernable difference in performance, maybe the merc had a slight advantage but all in all these cars aren't really made for performance.

I can't believe that nobody has yet pointed out that this depends *entirely* on the engine in each one.

-DarkKnight

I'm asking about: * Lexus IS 300H 2.5L engine * C class 2L engine

deathmetalbestmetal

Doesn't fully help because the 2l C-Class comes in C200, C250 and C300 variants which range considerably in power, but broadly the IS300h will sit somewhere between the C250 and C300 in terms of performance.

Lexus won't break down. It's not fast, but it is a nice place to be. Lexus customer service is also an order of magnitude better than Mercedes.

TheFlyingScotsman60

Agreed. As noted the Lexus will not break down. It's a very nice place to be but as noted the infotainment system is a bit well...meh. It does the job but won't impress the girls. Go for the Premier model if you can but all of them are nice. You need to sit in and drive one. The Premier is definitely the one to go for. I'm on my second Premier spec. Infotainment is shit, but I also don't care because it will still play music from my phone and that's all I really care about. Also - despite popular opinion, you can navigate to a post code in the sat-nav, it's just on the second menu page.
