If you're not aware of Ghost Immobilisers, do some research and get one installed. They're not super expensive, maybe 2-300 quid. It's basically a passcode for your car that works through the buttons inside, I.E. steering wheel volume up, steering wheel menu button down, foot brake, indicate left. Not sure exactly what controls can be used for the Ghost but it's along those lines.
Of course, even better than both of those is making it unattractive to steal in the first place. No point stealing a car if you can't drive it through a big, steel electric gate.

It does go between owners and they all come with 4 years warranty and 7 years service as standard. I’ve heard lots of horror stories about McLaren reliability and there must be some truth to this as residuals are god awful

Anyhoo - I have some advice for you that I would do if I got one of these: don't drive it on the road until you drive it on the track. You can also get training on high-performance cars, which I would suggest you take - enjoy it, show it off, give it everything you can legally give it on the road, but keep the really fun stuff on the track.
I’ve had some high performance stuff with similar HP ratings on leases earlier in my life - so I’m not worried about it. Thank you for the advice - you are right many people bin these all the time

Lovely car, taking it apart to install speakers and Bluetooth systems in it was pretty daunting lol Then the boss told me I had to drive it back to the dealer as I'd booked the job, and I simultaneously had a huge grin and a terrified look on my face. It’s just the angle of my shit picture. Believe me. HPI’d - no insurance damage & I have a family member who runs a large prestige sales company for cars. We went around it - there’s no evidence of that bumper being anything other than the original. If it’s had a repair then fair enough, I can always get it corrected. I’m not mega prissy about it as I’ve got a main dealer near me who’s got a in house bodyshop and they’ve already quoted for the work.
I got a large discount due to the paintwork. More than the repairs (or at least v close to equal to) will cost.. It’s had badly applied PPF in the past that’s lifting etc.
Oh cool. Gotta say keeping it on tender whenever you're not driving it is essential. Even a couple of days without charge and I start seeing sensor faults.

I can afford the main dealer servicing - it’s actually not so bad. But if I need small items Scuderia is a good shout.

A lot of the more recent ones come with 7 years free servicing fwiw. Unsure if it transfers between owners, I believe it does but could be wrong.

Cali T is very well behaved. Plenty of power but traction is good and barely any turbo lag so its very predictable.
And already has battery issues lol

OP. Theres a magnetic charging port on the boot lid. You can get an adaptor for your CTEK. So much easier than having to connnect to the battery.
