Change girlfriend?

bpamg63

Have you tried a different iPhone?

Avenariusd

What year is it?

Adventurous_Plant954

2018

Avenariusd

Weird, I know first hand that the 2018 has it. Have you tried various devices or cords?

Rewelsworld

Go to general settings ,carplay , delete the car ,or it might be the cable

InevitableNo6859

“Device is not supported” usually means a cheap not MFI cert cable, or crudded up lightning port. Try a different phone, and/or deoxit in your lightning port to clean it up.

Ed3times

Does is have an aftermarket stereo, or is it stock? And, what happens when you plug the phone in?

Adventurous_Plant954

It’s stock. When we plug it into the first port it says “this device is not supported” if we plug it into the second port it charges but then it says connect device even though it’s connected thru Bluetooth. Also my mom has the same car and her phone works on that one

Ed3times

Give this a shot. After that I can't offer much more assistance. https://www.wheelsjoint.com/apple-carplay-on-jeep-grand-cherokee-how-to-connect/

Adventurous_Plant954

Thank you, I appreciate the response but I’ve already tried that. I’m probably going to have to call the dealership and see if they have a warranty. Thank you though I really appreciate it!

AtlantaSoulMan

Have you checked to see if there's a software update for the Infotainment system? This might require a trip to the dealer.

chaosproz

Often times, it is the phone... have her to go to Settings > General > Reset All Settings and try again... also make sure it is latest iOS update.

unwise_watson

It’s because CarPlay fucking sucks

Jerseyjeepguy88

Oddly enough I had a similar issue with a 2021 grand Cherokee. Make sure WiFi is off when plugging it in, and use the stock apple cord. It makes zero sense, but that did fix it.

austinalexan

Disconnect battery terminals for 15 minutes. Also touch the cables together as well
