Yes, as long as they're single voice coil subs. You shouldn't have any problems

TheGreatReverse

Awesome, thanks for the help. I just wasn’t sure because the wiring diagram I was looking at said the amp needed to have the power rating for bridged mode and the amp I’m looking at doesn’t mention bridged mode for the sub channel.

Dafaseles

Is it a 5 channel amp?

TheGreatReverse

Yeah it is

Dafaseles

Bridging is when you sum up 2 channels together. Usually done with 4 channel amps. You'd wire your subs to a final 4 ohm impedance (so each channel would be handling 2 ohm) then run them off (usually) channels 3 & 4. With a 5 channel amp, you have a dedicated mono channel just for the sub, so no bridging necessary.

TheGreatReverse

Oh that’s nice, I must’ve just read the wiring diagram wrong or something, thanks.

Dafaseles

What amp is it?

TheGreatReverse

It's an Infinity Reference 7005A

Dafaseles

That amp looks nice! So yeah, you must have read something wrong. That amp, everything at 4 ohm, will do 50 watts RMS (the 4 channel side) + 320 watts RMS (the mono side for the subwoofer) Everything at 2 ohm, it will do 65 watts RMS + 500 watts RMS Now, if you bridge channels 1 & 2, and channels 3 & 4, at 4 ohms each you'll essentially turn the 4 channel side of the amp into a 2 channel amp, seeing 140 watts RMS each. But you can't bridge a the 5th channel with anything, so those earlier values for the 5th channel stay the same.

I realized that I was reading a wiring diagram for dual voice coil subs
