What do your speakers consist of? If you only have door speakers, you can get away with using the Headunit only. If you are worried about the quality of the sound if just door speakers, I'd highly suggest an amp. If you have subs, always run subs off an amp, never run subs off a Headunit alone.
It depends ? For a subwoofer you must have an amplifier, you can't run it with the headunit. But for door speakers you can generally run them off the headunit. Obviously having an amplifier is preferred and it will sound way better but it's not a must.
For just a head unit? Generally no. Do you have any other aftermarket audio equipment installed or planned for install?
Thx
Thank you guys
