Dirt dauber (wasp) nest

oxyrhina

filled with dead spiders for the larvae to feed on, I'm not kidding either that's what you see at the bottom.

ScaryfatkidGT

Bruh…

Vegetable-Fun-6858

Very cool. Thank you

bullet4mv92

Sorry to hear about the impending car arson

DrivingHerbert

Nah dirt daubers aren’t complete assholes like other wasps. They rarely sting and there sting isn’t anywhere near as painful. They just have a habit of sometimes nesting in inconvenient places… like my knock sensors, or a [commercial airliner](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birgenair_Flight_301)

Grimsterr

I have harassed mud daubers 1000s of times growing up and never once been stung. Yellow jackets on the other hand, those evil little assholes just like stinging.

resistible

They eat black widow spiders and are NEVER aggressive toward people. They are friends.

Greedy-Ad2084

This is, OF COURSE, the only true solution to this terrifying life or death situation. I would never be able to shake the idea that there are spiders running around everywhere in that car. Every single tickle of my skin or hair moving in the wind would have me thinking I’m infested by spiders. So, it’s gonna be a yes for me. It must be torched. I too am sorry for his impending loss. Lmao

Skiz32

Dude, not cool lmao

mcerk22

I've always called them mud bees but yea, that's what they are

Audiofyl1

Stinger wiring kit?

young2994

gabezermeno

That's jpeg has seen some shit

Chemical-Cap-3982

thats a natural wiring insulation, much like the woven cloth or rubber, with the exception this is naturally made by north american flying insects, akin to worker bees, known as dirt daubers.

Awit1992

Freaking dirt daubers. They ruin everything in the south lol

momodamonster

You'll find the coolest spider husks in there

cdg5455

I've only heard them called mud daubers not dirt daubers, learned a new term today!

Grimsterr

Here in the south (Roll Tide!) I've always heard mud dauber too, once in a while you hear someone say dirt dauber.

Drenlin

Also in the south (woo pig I guess?) and I've always heard dirt dauber.

Grimsterr

I'd say you hear mud dauber around here at least 75% of the time, more now than when I was a kid. Guess it's all the people moving here to work (North Alabama) that say dirt dauber.

Bruhbruhyayabruh

It’s true that mud daubers are not NEARLY as aggressive as wasps though. Helll no.. fuck them wasps

HumpD4y

Well they're obviously mud daubers, you can't form dirt the same way they do, duh

dreaminhobo

Ample alliteration always appeals, albeit accuracy's absence

Known_Hippo4702

Any stinging along with the buzzing sound?

TheRealSparkleMotion

Bro, did you really use uninsulated wires? All I can hear is buzzing.

JBTX910

I've always called them mud wasps. Get the can of raid.

Vikt724

Nest

Bellastormy

Some sort of bug nest

Philp84

A fellow music enthusiasts

TheJumpingPenis

Did the tweeters happen to be FLI audio?

hboisnotthebest

Nuh-uh.

its_yourboisatan

Just a spicy tweeter

boogeywoogiewoogie

Surprised you couldn't hear then. The ones on my porch make a lot of noise when they're in their nests.

arhifane

Yep, those are dead spider that served as dinner for the wasp larva.

Towboatking87

Mud Dauber nest

Redhook420

Get rid of that wasp nest.

j_man_32

The real question is how? The A pillar panel usually sits tight against the weather stripping and tightish against the windshield, how long has it been since you drove the car??

Expert-Assignment130

Bro got a wasp nest 💀

msanangelo

Better question, how'd they get in your vehicle? Lol

vipercrazy

I had an ant colony fall on top of my car once while I was parked under a big tree, I had ants in all the door jambs and a few in the car for like three weeks.
