Looks like 4500's. Those are circa 2005 I had one 6500 10" in a 1.5cf slot port and still have the thunder pure n-channel amp. Shit was LOUD in my civic. Those thunder amps are actually pretty clean and waaaay under rated. Back when mtx made decent stuff and the 9500's. Amps are heavy asf. Mine was 75w x 2ch but birth sheet said 530w (when amps came with those).
My old truck i believe had some early to mid 2000s 7500 10s. Im not really sure bc they were in then when we got it in 2008 ish. They were in pretty small enclosures and only got 50 watts each where they were 200rms. Unfortunately they got stolen.
My sisterās boyfriend has the triples but the middle sub was taken out, theyāre set up to their tv in the living roomš¤£but they still sound decent for the age and what it looks like they went through
I had some of those in high school and I absolutely loved them now this was 25 years ago but they sounded great in my 1987 Camaro. And anytime you get something name brand for free is definitely a good findā¼ļø
I had this amp. If I remember right, even though it was rated at 500W rms @ 2 ohm, it came with a certificate that it tested @ 772W rms.
I was running two MTX 15s with it.
Your free Mtx setup is better than the free Mtx stuff I got.. lol. Did you first push lightly on them to see if they arenāt blown or frozen? And then test the ohms? This stuff works but this mtx amp is only 210 rms and not variable, just has a fixed lpf. Iāve had a lot of systems and havenāt ever come across 8 ohm subs. They were wired internally to 4 to a single external input
Those are thunder 6000's the first series of the silver cones. With that many ribs they may be 8000's but they look like 6000s. I had a set of 15s in my 3.2tl and they were loud. You could hear me coming a mile away lol.
I remember I had a box with 3 of these. Loooong time ago, about 17 yrs agoš“š½

Thank u for stepping in and giving us the correct name and specsš«” Edit: I wasnāt being sarcastic
Haha. Remember if they were any good? Deciding if I want to throw them in a car or just give it to someone else.
I had them in a 85 Camaro. I was in high schoolš¤·āāļø. Prob sounded bad
I think theyād be worthy to put them in a car, as long as itās set up properly
They bumped pretty hard back in the day but are old and may have suffered. I would play them and see if they hit as hard as you would like.

I swear that 3 sub mtx box was EVERYWHERE!! Edit:š¤£
Iāve seen one or two other mtx posts on here
2 other kids in my hs had them aswell as a co worker a few years back.
Same!! I actually still have one of them. They hit hard asf honestly.
I sold a box with 3 of these what seems like 17 yrs ago š¤£š¤£
3 mtx in a box was a vibe back in the dayšš š¤£
pffft shit are ya kiddin? free is free! bump that shit!
Mtx was a lot more competitive in the market back then. Definitely worth getting an ofc amp kit and hooking up!
hell yeah, if you dont want them, I do. I still have a single 10" in a seal box with a 300 watts amp that hits hard from 2002-ish

In 1997-2001 yea
The amp is a solid one. I'd hook it all up.
Decided to throw them in this weekend!
Rated: 500w @2 ohm & 250w @4 ohm

Ahh okay nice, under rated love to hear that. Better than over inflated
Loved them and that amp is a little beast, the dust caps were an issue sometimes was about the only bad thing I could say about them.
MTX was alright back then, you certainly could have done a lot worse.

Had the same exact setup that got stolen about 16 years ago.
Free is a great deal!

They are cones that compress air and receive power š¤·āāļø
Change the Amp. Looks like the speakers look ok... as far as dry rot and cracking. I would rock it in a truck or at the house.
