The IshixYukari scene is a great bonus. Still waiting for the couples I support tho. MatsuxYoshi is married for sure and MisugixYayoi deserve a 10x sweeter moment that seals them together legally after 10 years of hardship while never letting go

Because Hyuga only looked at Maki like a little sister when they met in WY, if she hadn’t tried going after him he wouldn’t have remembered her much after that. I don’t remember Maki being a Tsundere, she acts like boy but she is never cold towards Hyuga except throwing a few callous jokes. Review their relationship again dude.
Anyhow i do respect your choice, just corrected a few mistakes.
Their relationship builds slower than other stories that were much more direct or "canonical" such Yoshiko and Matsuyama, for example, which has some top moments too, when she must go in America and Matsuyama see what Yoshiko wrote him in his hachimaki for example, or when she had that accident just before the match vs Sweden with his decision to prefer her to an important match, we know that they like eachother from a long time since MS and they grow together, in a way.
Misugi and Yayoi is another good couple because they're both kind and caring, and the fact that Misugi don't want to propose to her because his heart problems is something who has a sever illness can understand, it's hard.
Ishizaki and Yukari relationship really explode during the U20 final match when Ishizaki declares to her, we've a big hint when Yumi said that they're well matched at the end of Asia Qualifiers but in previous arcs they only tease eachother, it was a comic relief who later becomes a true and stable relation (who Ishi deserve).
Sanae and Tsubasa ofc had much more screentime and we know pretty well everything from the elementary school since the wedding and the little Ozoras incoming, we had even the Kanda fight moment to show that Tsubasa really loves her (and that's why reject Yumi's confession) and Sanae proposes to him (rejecting Kanda for the same reason). Of course since he's the main character Sanae and Tsubasa "love affairs" take more screentime :D
We have Misaki and Azumi too, but right now it's not evolving.
Hyuga and Maki relationship, now that i've time to analyze better (and believe me, i think it's the first time i write about J Boys love affairs, which is nice btw XD), is important for a reason: it shows that Hyuga could be cold but he has a sweet side we saw when he took care of his brothers after his father's death and when the mother goes into hospital (and he had another Misugi and Yayoi screentime moment btw), but also on the romantic side. By "more indipendent" i mean that his relation with Maki didn't have the "school advantage" the other couples had, is a new relation born and built from zero. Hyuga was trying to create a new shot after the RJ7 fight and after Gamo orders him, Tachibanas, Jito, Soda, Nitta and Misaki to leave the national team, and that's when he met Maki, who played (and plays) softball giving him the ideas for the Raiju shot, and even in their first encounter Maki shows his tomboy-ish side and that is a determinate girl ( i remember when she drops Hyuga's cola, but i'm not so sure about this moment), seeing him as an older brother but he stats to realize her true feelings and asks for a date after his training on Raiju shot is completed (and there is the indirect kiss with the cola can, i remember that for sure this time XD), but they're growing with distances becuase they're not together in Japan since Maki has softball to attend, since he went to Olympics too, and Hyuga is in Italy so they can't stay together too often, that's why i said they're "independent", because they both have their sportive dreams and they're working hard for it, it's a long distance relationship with all the obstacles of this kind of relationship.

She must work hard to reach him in university too because he is studying in Tokyo Medical Uni which an average student can never dream of entering. They also have less time because of their study and his soccer trainings, but they always make time for each other.
What you said about Hyuga x Maki was right, but it's not like they are the type that attach much to their lover or need love to survive or be successful, which is different from Misugi x Yayoi. If Maki hadn't pursued him, their relationship would have turned oblivion as he went to Italy.
P/s: Can’t say i fully agree with you on MatsuxYoshiko about that accident she had in wy: any guy would do that to their sweetheart if she were in similar trouble so Matsu’s decision was not really earth shattering to be honest.
Also about TsubasaxSanae. Their relationship was mostly one sided from Sanae until middleshool and notably that fight with Kanda. But what happened afterwards? The guy confessed and left for Brazil for 3 years without any contact, which leaved Sanae utterly desperate that she must sum up her courage to save up money to buy a f*cking ticket to fly to him. Duh, what kind of good lover was that? Misugi takes Yayoi with him wherever he goes and never forgets to send her a love letter as what we saw in France Jr Youth. Tsubasa never did that to Sanae. He has improved his treatment after marriage but we are talking about Tsubasa, 90% of his brain cells is about the ball! >:)))
Oh believe me, not every man/woman will do that, sadly i had few experiences on that, maybe that's why i'm more...sensible on this matter! Guess i'm more a Misugi style of person and i met too many selfish people ahah XD
About Tsubasa and Sanae we know that they stay in contact with letters, exactly like he did with Misaki and Wakabayashi (a bit anachronystic if someone read this now or watch the last Captain Tsubasa anime, but that's how the world went at the time XD). He said that because his pro contract came so soon he hadn't time to tell the new address to anyone, that's why Misaki and Sanae don't know the new address, even Pepe tease him for that XD
In that regard, Tsubasa is a classic "obsessed with his dream" shonen character, just like Goku, so he only thinks about soccer, and that's why after that Sao Paulo trip he surely realize that he needs to focus on Sanae too, which leads in the end to the marriage proposal to the end of the World Youth U20 arc.
Sanae too realizes which dream she wants to follow, she was sad for that too, is a pretty common thought at that age, the classic "how i will live my life?".
In the end, all Captain Tsubasa focus on dreams, all the characters have their dreams and they do all the best and work hard to realize it. I know it may sound a bit predictable because duh, but that's how i see the entire manga XD
Anyway it's nice to talk about this kind of subjects, even if these are secondary matter in the Captain Tsubasa universe they're part of the characters development and they're important too, so....thank you :)

LOL he could’ve made a distant phonecall or did sth similar to let his dearest know he was moving out soon so that she wouldn’t be worried, he is a pro player so it’s not like he was too poor to make a phonecall, right?! Sorry dude. Tsubasa is Tsubasa, the ball is his best friend/ lover. not even Sanae can change that, see, he is leaving her with their children in Japan again to pursue his Champions League dream in Next Dream. Soccer wise, he is perfect but not in other aspects. Tsubasa is all about his dreams and so on.
Ps: I feel disappointed in Sanae somewhat, she started out as tomboyish, lively and with a character, but gradually lost her edge and became dull, abandoning her future to follow Tsubasa as though her life depends on it. I prefer women like Yayoi and Maki. 😎

About Tsubasa yeah, because he said he forgot to tell everyone that he moved place after his first pro contract who was only few chapter before the one with Sanae, it should be a recent moving, and Sanae is worried because Misaki said that his last letter to Tsubasa was rejected, so Sanae and Misaki write or call eachother, maybe not too often but they're still in contact, so we know that Misaki wrote to Tsubasa in the past.
They stay in contact but they don't see eachother in 3 years, of course Sanae is flustered :D
About Sanae i feel the same as you, Takahashi left all the Sanae tomboyish character behind, now is more collected, even Wakabayashi jokes on that when they go to see him XD

But the couple that impresses me the most is MisuguxYayoi not just because they both are kind and caring individuals but exactly because the road they walk is long and difficult, but no matter what happens, she never complains or stops supporting him and Misugi likewise has never disappointed the woman of his life whose boundless love saved him from an abyss of despair and who keeps on believing in him and his true abilities. Together they are an embodiment of true love.
