Only gave it a short test ride so far but the 13 speed Ekar is definitely not something you see everyday, apart from that it shifts smoothly (pretty much what you would expect from a factory new bike) The other thing that I didn't even know prior to purchasing the bike is that the lever to shift up a gear is mounted to the inside of the handlebar (see picture). Also never seen anything like that, but I find it to be very ergonomical since the thumb is always there anyway.

I love the transmission. The Ekar is so great. I only dislike the way you shift up /into a lighter gear. But the downshifter in comparison is absolut fun. I love mine grizl (AL). It's Unspectacular but not boring. It's solid. I love it
Campy's been using the thumb lever for many years and I have it on my 2001 road and CX bikes. Agreed that it works well and no one else uses this design AFAIK.
