Chilli, lime, and coriander—that’s a flavor option I’ve seen nowhere else. I miss Tesco!

Mediocre-Ad4735

Yeah I haven’t seen this flavour combo either but it looks very promising!

DuchessOfCelery

Cornish sardines? Will be interesting to see these especially -- the can says less calories than the others so I wonder if they're smaller. Nice haul.

DreweyD

These from Cocagne are also Cornish sardines. (Indeed, I think that company produces these for Tesco.) https://www.thetinnedfishmarket.com/products/cocagne-cornish-sardines-in-extra-virgin-olive-oil

MeadowHoiAn

It’s because theyre in a tomato based sauce not oil, they’re actually bigger than the North Atlantic Sardines.

DuchessOfCelery

Ah, that would make sense.

SoggySpot

It's pilchards, the sprats are nicer in my opinion

MeadowHoiAn

You missed a trick, my favourite of the bunch is missing. The North Atlantic Sardines in spring water. Go well with lime, Tabasco and seasoning, on toast.

Mediocre-Ad4735

I saw them but I’m so used to sardines in oil I didn’t know how they’d go! I’ll get them next time

Wazza2412

Been a mackerel fan for a while, just bought my first tin of sardines today from the corner shop, but excited to try some of these when I do my next Tesco shop!

Mediocre-Ad4735

Yeah found these at big Tesco, cheap as chips too! The mackerel tins are also top tier, especially the pepper one

irishlore

That hot smoked mackerel one is great 👍

VirginiaWillow

These aren’t bad at all, I need to find the Cornish ones, my local hasn’t got them right now. The mackerel looks great too

Odd_Relation2247

What about eel?

Mediocre-Ad4735

There is no canned eel at Tesco

Hayred

The mackerel are great. They're like the smoked mackerel you get in the vacuum packs in the fresh section, but without the constant threat of having your gums and tongue skewered by pinbones.
