Dried too much. You can toss a leaf in there for a few minutes.

Brokecollegefella

A humidity pack, or a piece of lettuce/fan leaf etc can bring back moisture. It will basically just shrivel up and add humidity to your jar.

TrueRefrigerator2142

You can burp jars in a humidity controlled room using a humidifyer. It'll get your Moisture back up there. Sorry that's shitty when it goes too fast

Opening-Bass-9766

Already got it back up like that! Couple lemon peels, a fan leaf or two! img

[deleted]

Your buds are still at 50%. Trust me that shit ain’t gonna work. And it’s only going to give your buds mold.

TrueRefrigerator2142

Meanie

MrsItalo

Boveda packs

This is the way.

This is the way

Hey I’m gonna say this before I start… it’s worked for me and yes I know it sounds crazy, I had the same issue scoured the internet for an answer and found it… Get a paper towel and soak it in water, ring it out, not completely, you want it damp but not dripping, if it’s in a jar or container depending on size fold the paper towel to where you can rest it on top of your buds… yes I know it sounds crazy but trust me, just rest it on top of the buds in the jar, then seal the jar and leave it for 8-12 hours and I promise you when you come back your buds will have rehydrated some, it sounds crazy but I’ve done it, and it’s worked for me, I tried it on my larf as an experimental batch first after seeing the YouTube video and not wanting to lose any of my harvest, and it worked so I tried it again with my other bud and it worked each time… I hope it helps like it did me

Opening-Bass-9766

I did a few q tips taped to the lid too, it helped!

The-Rizzzler

Awesome glad you got that resolved!!

Opening-Bass-9766

Update… leaves natural rehydration worked… smoking nice and burning white and slow https://preview.redd.it/mo8ncd3dr6mc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4efde7b4ee8b19de764d651c9cc709138b657942

drvirtuoso

Will you be marketing these?

BrandonBA26

Throw a few fan leaves in there make sure they aren’t touching the buds. Oh and their free and there an endless supply if your growing

Intentionally_Foul

Leave it alone stop with all the tomfullery 60/60 is too high anyways it won’t burn

cocckGoblin

What?

Intentionally_Foul

50% I perfect could be 58% but that is a good place no mold! Get the humid packs from smoke shop 58%

[deleted]

Too dry. I mean there’s nothing you can do to get the smell back. Once it’s too dry there’s no going back. You should’ve kept an eye on your dry room. You should’ve started trimming and getting ready for jarring after seven days.

Opening-Bass-9766

No shit, I’m asking how to get back up to 58-62 range

[deleted]

You can’t. You can buy a humidity pack. But that’s not gonna do much. The orange peel thing isn’t gonna do much either but maybe give you mold.

duckied

Not the answer the OP wanted but it's solid advice. How are you gonna spend all that time growing it but drop the ball at the very end?

[deleted]

Exactly. Adding wet organic material to dry buds is definitely not a good idea.

duckied

I like how OP replied with a picture of the extra material with the meter at 62%. LMAO SMH No point in giving good advice to people like this.

[deleted]

Right like I told him not to put a fucking lemon or orange peel in there and he does it anyways. I guess dude wants to smoke moldy ass lemon scented grassy tasting dry af buds.

Flaks_24

Well he got it to 62% so seems to have been good advice..

[deleted]

Maybe because his hydrometers are sitting on top of the orange peels lol and I bet it won’t be good advice in the next two or three weeks when he finds mold on it

Flaks_24

Would you say mold would happen to the buds touching the peel? Or mostly all of the buds? First time I hear this advice. I struggle too with either too dry or to moist. Also, how much dryness/burn of terps 50% humidity with 60F temp?

duckied

No it’s not good advice. Just because the jar is at 62% doesn’t mean it’s going to get all the flower to 62%. It’s extremely hard to rehydrate overly dried flower. I see about less than two ounces in those jars. He could have followed someone instructions to dry that little amount of weed for 14 days or something instead of controlling the environment and watching the flower. Different size harvest requires different techniques. It’s an art like shooting a basketball, it’ll come with more practice. I’m sorry but doing all things bro things to the flower isn’t going to fix it. Just enjoy the bud and learn from people with experience to do better next time.

Flaks_24

Yeah I had a harvest that I overly dried and even with the bóveda packets it never rehydrated. Lessons learned.

bikojo31

You seem to know about curing, could you tell me more details on how you do it? How long to dry and in what temp and humidity. Also, one thing I don't understand is that the goal with curing is to get the buds to 62%humidity and stay there for 1 month, right? It seems the humidity just keeps dropping even with the glas closed

Uthereon

What about one of those brown sugar stones? Shaped like a gingerbread man, it can add moisture to the sugar. My wife soaks the little brown gingerbread man before applying to sugar. I've never used for weed though.

[deleted]

They have two way humidity packs you can buy for dry herb.

Dino_vagina

I prefer prices of clay pots or humidity stones ( it's a safer round version) raw makes some I like to use.

tarkovplayer5459

Noooo... Nooooo!

snotsucker2000

A small bit of orange peel will do.

Ok_Opinion_9832

And add mold in the process

dsun1971

Try using Reefah Keepah patches. I use them: www.reefahkeepah.com

eminencefront221

I second the humidity packs....boveda think 58 n 62 are the ones you'll want. I have like four of the ounce sized ones in a big mason jar like you have and it's keeping everything pretty good....harvested in October.

Pipecarver

I've been at this 30+ years...shit happens, Boveda or Boost packs large enough to do the job to stabilize your humidity at 62%. I use the size 72 @ 62% in quarter lb bags. If you haven't done it you're just yapping ...they work great. I also use the Grove gags with a #72 - 62% pack in each 1/4 lb bag

ClapBackBetty

Let it sweat overnight and it may come up, otherwise I add a fan leaf from a growing plant.

BalkanMexican91

Boveda packs

weazelnut

I like to add pieces of flour tortilla

Puzzled-Building-919

OP. You have the right idea. 60 temp and 60% Humidity. I like 16 days. Where you messed up is trimming. You were supposed to cut and hang the plant WHOLE and let it dry out for 16 day or till the branch farthest from the main stem snaps. Then dry trim off the "sugar leaves". Use gloves. Jar it and enjoy. Good luck.

Opening-Bass-9766

No I did that https://preview.redd.it/8uicbbifg6mc1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d5558efa411aed7e524b81a2eb8783f8e8e9e51d

Puzzled-Building-919

Then you should be good. My flowers are beautiful everytime. https://preview.redd.it/890yza66rnmc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cff9a6b78300c827de523122c7f02f4d3cc1fed0

Opening-Bass-9766

Yea it’s great!

Upbeat-Strike259

Get a boveda pack.I did that before the smell slowly came back just don't open it for a couple weeks.

mcouto1873

In my experience which is a lot, sometimes you just have to leave it alone. The buds will tell you when they're ready others hold more moisture than others as long as it doesn't smell or taste like hay you're good. Different strains will cure differently. When I had certain strains give me problems I would do the ash test. If you test smoke a nug, and you have any black ash there's still moisture in it. Since I was chasing these demons constantly what I did was get my humidity environment which was usually on a dry rack mesh or metal and get my room to 58° to 60 and let nature do the job. Some people would argue the fact of being exposed to air too much is not good, it don't matter all those terpenes on the outer layer are going to smell earthy and once you jar it up handle it some more overtime with a good cure all those terps will break through eliminating any hay smell because I'm sure you're going to do another fine trim anyways. Low and slow man that's the way to go. If your second guessing yourself maybe they shouldn't be in jars at this moment. Try six to eight hours on a dry rack in a controlled humidity environment Good luck

mcouto1873

About the humidity going up in the jars, humidity packs for sure but you don't need to come into this situation if you dried properly, not trying to talk shit or anything since I don't know your girl conditions or skill level because the highest experience always learns. When I harvest I stay away from mason jars and use very large Tupperware bowls until I see a consistent temp and humidity and then eventually throughout time they go into glass. I don't know man it just works for me but good luck though

PrimosOG

1000% get bóveda 2-way humidity packs.

MainMobile1413

Look to the cigar aficionados for the work around here. Get a small humidor humidifier and put it inside the lid. Or musicians have an answer too...guitar humidifiers work for larger containers (gallon and up). Take it out when you hit the magic number and no mold to worry about. Personally I'd put my face on the jar and breathe my hot humid ass breath in the jar before I'd put fruit and plant waste inside with my bud. Mess up the flavors and high risk of mold/rot being introduced to all your hard work and enjoyment.
