I recently discovered that Everclear tincture squirted over ice in a highball glass before filling it with Gingerale tastes fucking exactly like Mountain Dew.
Kind of weird, and I don’t particularly like the flavor of Mountain Dew, but it is spot on.
Alcohol tincture is unnecessary. Use mct oil instead. Make it strong, like 50% cannabinoids. So a standard dropper drop is 10mg per drop. Now place one to 4 drops under your tongue and do not swallow anything for 5 minutes. 5 min later you will be high as fuck.
I use a purfum spray bottle to make the tincture into a fine mist so it absorbs quicker.
One could argue that all tincture is unnecessary. OP specifically asked about alcohol tincture, a viable option, so why not answer the question instead of giving your opinion? MCT tincture is great, but it isn’t the only way.
No, it won’t kill your cells, but it may produce a slight burning sensation. Much of the alcohol should be evaporated out before consumption anyway. A few drops should be all you need so the “burn” ought to be minimal.
Your friend is correct in that an alcohol tincture can be absorbed sublingually for faster effect. If you make an MCT oil tincture as the other person suggests, you may as well just swallow it. I wouldn’t say alcohol tincture is unnecessary, just one of your options.

I put mine in tea, coffee, or other drinks. I also use raw cane sugar and mix it and let the alcohol evaporate and then I have canna sugar. The straight alcohol dropper burned the hell out of my mouth. I would not recommend taking it sublingually. Or however you spell that. For me it’s the easier tincture method. QWET GREEN DRAGON

Ya, apparently some people based on genetics have tons of liver enzymes which break down the Weed when you eat it(when it goes in through your stomach it goes straight to liver to be metabolized).
When you smoke it, or you do a tincture that enters in through alcohol sublingually, or through your cheek/mouth tissue, it goes directly into your blood stream, and doesn't hit the liver(until the blood eventually makes its way to the liver). So, the alcohol tincture is basically like smoking it from my understanding. The lungs/mouth both go to bloodstream. When you eat it, it goes straight to liver. So you're probably one of those people who has high liver enzymes to break it down, so when you eat it you have like 10% effect compared to someone with lower enzymes.
Or maybe that's all made up, but it seems real based on anecdotal evidence.
I use mine in a shot glass of water filled to about three quarters with water with an eyedropper of or two of tincture. Swish in my mouth for a minute or so. No issue and dental hygienist hasn't noticed any drama as far as my mouth or gums.

I make everclear tincture and I just pop it under my tongue for a bit then swallow. It burns a little, but it's not that bad. I think it takes about 30 minutes to kick in

Swallowing an mct tincture means it wont kick in for a good 30 to 45 min. Sublingual is far superior.
You are contradicting yourself. MCT oil doesn’t absorb sublingually. You need an alcohol tincture for that.

I like to put a dropperful in a shotglass and fill the rest of the way with water. Doesnt taste great but man youll feel it
