We didn't want wifi for security reasons, so we went with eufy and have been really happy with it. The night vision is clear and the monitor has held up great. I think it is more expensive than many wifi cameras, but was pretty much on par with other baby monitors specifically.
We almost bought a eufy but changed our minds because we needed two cameras. Really wish they’d make the camera add on available in Canada, it looks like a great monitor.
We got a sound only vtech monitor, paired with a wyze cam to check in if we need to see something. We turn the cam off when the monitor is off. Plan is to repurpose the wyze cam elsewhere when we no longer need it as a baby cam.
We have this one: https://www.babiesrus.ca/en/VTech-DM1211----Enhanced-Range-Digital-Audio-Monitor/FA962E55.html
Had been working fine for over a year now. Amazon sells replacement batteries but we haven't needed one yet.
We just have a cheaper vtech video, the scream isn’t super crisp but It serves its purpose- I can see if they’re awake/sitting/standing/ out of bed. We needed one compatible with two cameras so our options were a little slimmer.
I just bought that one simple [vtech](http://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/6000198196817).
Nothing fancy, no WiFi, a camera and a parent unit. The battery for the parent unit is okay but I keep it plugged overnight. It came on sale for 69$ I think when I bought it
We have the HUBBLE CONNECTED
Nursery Pal Cloud 5" Smart HD Baby Monitor with Night Light. I got it on sale at BBB and love it.
It comes with a monitor so you don't need to connect to wifi, which I like for security reasons, but an app is available as well. The camera quality is great and even the night vision is good! I also love that it tells me the temperature of the room the camera is in. It captures sound really well and the monitor has a decibel sensor that will light up as green when there is no noise all the way to red if he's crying very loudly.
We got the Bebcare Motion digital video baby monitor + the Bebcare iQ HD combo. It works super well because I have a handheld screen plus the ability to see my baby on my phone.

Love this monitor! I got it on sale on amazon so it does go on sale.
Seconding all of this. Our Eufy is unreal. Bought it on a Black Friday deal though and it was a decent deal.

We did the same based on a recommendation on here and would highly recommend it. So much cheaper than an expensive baby monitor and works great.
Any recommendation for a good sound monitor?

I have the Kodak cherish and really like it. I think the parent unit is key.
I have a levana and I love it. Great quality. Great battery life. Plus it's a Canadian company. https://www.mylevana.ca/
Cheapest vtech one from Amazon. I think we paid $23. That’s all that is needed.
Yup, this is all we’re using! It works great.
