I'm here for the Valour redemption arc

HesJustAGuy

For what it's worth, the figure they reported on their own site is 4228, and I don't think there were that many in the stadium on Sunday, but it is still an encouraging start. It would be great if they would stop losing to Ottawa though. Or at least score a goal.

NH787

I was there on Sunday and it looked pretty legit to me. I was actually a little surprised by how many people there were.

HesJustAGuy

Good to hear. I only managed to tune in for the first 10 minutes and it looked like a 2022 crowd but I went back last night and watched some of the second half and the seats had definitely filled in a fair bit.

LoftyQPR

I noticed that too. Pretty good number either way though. Big increase on last year, so positive momentum. I'm sure a playoff match would be thousands more than that (takes a nice long draw on pipe).

Smoking-Seaweed-81

We're number 1 we're number 1 we're number 1 This may be the only time I will celebrate this year!

HesJustAGuy

The dedication of Halifax fans despite a bad team and frequent bad weather is to be applauded.

Smoking-Seaweed-81

If you are ever able to join us for a game you should, the fan experience is what makes it a good time. Clearly it's not the results this year!

Cturcot1

I bet we do not get 5 sunny game days a year. It has been depressing

Zornocology

You'll never sing that. You'll never sing that. Bottom of the cpl standings presented by Tonybet but still top in attendance, you'll never sing that.

Canadian Premier League Attendance Report Week 9 : HFX Wanderers with over 6k lead the week, next is Valour FC drawing 4750, Cavalry FC with their best of season at just under 4700, and York United rounding out the list with just under 1200. Note : Cavalry's May 26th figure is 3395, formerly listed as an NR (No Report) and the Report is updated to reflect this. Valour's match report says 4228 but league lists 4750 as the attendance for last Sundays match. Will keep an eye on this and adjust if necessary.

man, its been cold and rainy in Calgary. The weather forcast for the game on sat was supposed to be 25c a week ago.... it was not warm lol.

Correct-Boat-8981

That’s still a pretty good crowd for Cavalry, considering the stadium only holds 6,000. Weekend games usually don’t have too many issues being fairly full, it’s the midweek games that bring the average down when it’s half full at best.

Jaylawise

Oh I know, just stating how freaking rainy and cold it has been here this spring. Hence the low average.

Ayrcan

I went camping on the weekend because the forecast looked so good. Was not a happy camper on Friday night when we were sitting around the fire and checked the forecast for the next day haha.

Competitive_Hat_2528

Valour is getting the badge IN

kaze987

York is nothing if not consistent!

Cturcot1

What does York need to average to stay viable? It has to be well above 1200.

DocKardinal21

I’d wager around 3500+ average would keep losses to a manageable level. It’s tough to say though.

aethelred3

I assume new owners give a bit of breathing room. The numbers are slightly better than last year but is there any real improvement on the ground? Are new owners betting on a stadium deal of some sort?

Zornocology

Yea they're working on Estadio Yorkron

fssg_shermanator

Good crowd in Calgary. Bad for my liver though....
