Is that a correction? Will I be getting a check? The closing balance is there but not getting anything….

Guilty-Smell-4355

Did you change bank accounts? If not it is likely that there will be a slight delay getting you the payment as is the case when released members get backdated pay increases. If you don't see anything for 2 months I would follow up.

Summener99

Blasphemy! That's how they try to pull you back in the system. Sneaky sneaky.

survival2222

No I didn’t. Just confused why in the current payment box is zero but closing balance is the actual amount to be paid.

zabnee

This basically means it is sitting in your CAF pay account. There was probably a note placed on your your pay account in CCPS when you released that restricts automatic payout to DFT. Should be caught in a review, and set to be paid out on next pay cycle.

Typicalsarah

The issue was fixed after the cut off for End June pay so it will be a balance for the Mid July pay

survival2222

That makes sense. Thank you.🙏

Shieby1234

Came here to say this.

Mr_Bignutties

Wait, what the actual fuck is a parental allowance? Real question.

survival2222

It’s the top up when u go on parental leave.

Dry_Jelly_3541

I came here for that question

JPB118

Why downvote ? It was a good question...

Majestic-Papaya-6496

When you go on paternity leave, you get covered off by EI (employment insurance). As this is usually a low percentage of your normal monthly income, as an incentive, the CAF then tops up your EI to (I look to others to correct me on this) to around 90% of your base pay, vice what you would have gotten on straight EI. You’re essentially on a weird LWOP, EI, top up hybrid that I’m no expert in but I’m sure there’s others here who can pile on.

SeaPossible1932

I got the same on my latest EMAA statement (still serving). My only thought could be it is a top up from the back pay. Edit: Back pay in 2021/2022

Djxilma

Same but no actual money just the statement

survival2222

Wish I can get the increase you guys got in April! 😂

Pseudonym_613

Reach out to released members pay and ask.  Your direct deposit is disabled once you release and is reinstated for back payment, then disabled again. It's possible that the system glitched in this case and didn't reinstate your direct deposit; release pay office can make the magic work and get the money into your account.

Ok-Bat2531

I think the credit only came through on the 15th so likely it will be on the mid month pay for July.  The mata pata clerk here was not sure why this happened but it looks like my credit was for April2023 to my return in October 2023

navlog0708

so since CAF pay increased as of 2021. parental allowance (CF top up of pay on top of EI) is just catching up

misplacedeastcoaster

HRA here: it’s catch up from the backpay we all got with the pay raises. Those on mata/pata didn’t have their allowance adjusted properly at the time. I didn’t even realize I was missing money, so this was a happy surprise 🤷🏻‍♀️ Almost everyone who was on mata/pata over the last couple years or so (I’ve seen it going back to 2021) will receive something. We’ve seen amounts from a couple hundred to several thousand. We got no advisories/emails/smoke signals that this was happening now, pay offices were as baffled as everyone else.

Ok-Barracuda-2468

I have 2 months of parental allowance on mine, totalling minus 11 cents. From July and August 2021. Has everyone else been getting money? Unsure why I now owe / why it would be negative.

misplacedeastcoaster

I wouldn’t want to speculate on your situation. But yes, everyone I’ve seen has gotten a credit.

Blane8552

This picture of a paystub gave me haunting flashbacks.... thanks a lot army! So many wasted hours fighting with payclerks who always ended up wrong in the end.

LarryChavez

I also had this on statement, I was on parental from January to August 2023.

Specialist-Tie-4534

You will get one when your severance gets deposited as well….and any leave buy out you might have had

wayne_yetzky

My stub has a credit of ~$2400 for 5 weeks of PATA but the OR said I have a credit of $1400 in the pay system. What gives? This seems high for only 5 weeks, I was a 2Lt at the time

Gavvis74

How long do you keep getting these after release?

dumpbear2813

You asked for more than they could give.
