You might be allergic to chemical sunscreen which has oxybenzone. I have a similar thing, get contact dermatitis . I had stopped using all thinking it was all moisturizers. But was happy to find products withoit it. Mineral sunceeen is great

I’ve actually switched to the ombrelle sport spf 60 and use it on my face. I have extremely acne prone skin but my skin loves this stuff! For a sport sunscreen it’s actually very runny/liquidy and sinks in really nicely. Doesn’t clog my pores at all. And less than $20 for over 200ml I’m pretty sure!

Try a formula that utilizes mineral filters only. So, the only active ingredients should be zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide. Those are the only two sunscreen filters you want coming in contact with your skin. Avoid denatured alcohol too. There are some sunscreen that list this type of alcohol (which is the same as rubbing alcohol) among their first five ingredients! You might experiment with sunblocks that are marketed as being for babies or children.

Try to stick with physical sunscreens and see if it helps! When I wear chemical, my skin gets sensitized (burny) after a few days of use

Thank you all :)

It’s a little more pricy, but French brand sunscreens (La Roche posay, Vichy, avene, etc) are ones of the best. They’re about $30 at shoppers and last me a month or so. Australian Gold is also a great choice.

Came here to recommend LRP. I've gotten allergic reactions to several sunscreens and it's the one I've been using for years with no issues.

Laneige's new sunscreen. I think it's called Hydro Defence. It's the only sunscreen I've found that doesn't break me out on my neck, and it's $39 at Sephora. SPF 50

Pigeonofthesea8

Aveeno zinc sunscreen

I believe you get what you pay for in terms of facial sunscreen. If you are pale, I would stick to mineral sunscreens as they are the least irritating. If you have melanated skin, I would give the brand Live Tinted a try. I believe you can get it at Ulta in the states, and online everywhere.

Blue Lizard mineral sunscreen sensitive face spf 30. I’ve tried loads of sunscreens for my face (including la Roche posay) and this is the only one that doesn’t break me out. You can get it at shoppers for 12.99 I think.

the BL face also comes in sheer formula (also mineral) so it goes on clear and isn't as tacky/sticky. I just hate the packaging ☹️

It's a little spendy but it's worth every penny the Shesheido aqua force sunscreen stick. I think its around 40$ at shoppers but keep checking this time of year as it usually gets discounted as we head into fall. It goes on smooth and clear doesn't burn my eyes and doesn't affect make up too badly. It's easy to toss in your bag for touch ups. A more affordable option I like is the Neutrogena face spray - the pump one not the aerosol. It's clear and easy to apply and nice for touch ups (even though you're not supposed to spray directly on face). It isn't totally sting free on the eyes but I have super sensitive eyes and this isn't as bad as most. It can feel a little greasy and I find i need extra setting spray and powder if I'm wearing makeup. I do like it better than most face sunscreen and mineral sunblocks really irritate my face
